 This thread is part of the Ilanga’s Adoptions clan, although anyone can adopt cubs here. Please check it out, we’d love to have some new members! You are still welcome to request cubs, but keep an eye out for future changes! Welcome! This is one of Lioden’s longest-existing cub adoption threads, created in October 2018. It has since expanded into multiple shelters and a clan. It’s named after the owner’s first broodmother, Ilanga. All of the cubs here are free for the taking, as long as they are marked as “Adoptable”. All you have to do is write a quick roleplay, even if it’s just a couple sentences long. Once you’ve read the rules, you can speak to one of the broodmothers at the adoption center and let them know which cub(s) you would like! Rules -Please DO NOT kill/tree/sell a cub you get from us! They are looking for permanent homes. -You can adopt as many cubs as you like! Just make sure that you can actually care for all of them. -To make things easier for us, please specify the name of the shelter or broodmother you are adopting from in your roleplay. -You don’t need to include a link to the cub, just their name. -We generally have a first-come, first-serve policy, but if someone puts more effort into their roleplay or message, we might choose them instead. -Please do not argue with the decision of a shelter owner. However, if you have a problem (such as a cub not arriving, or receiving the wrong cub), don’t be afraid to reach out to us! -If you break the rules, we may prevent you from adopting a cub here in the future. -We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Born during the poaching season, Vikela lost many of her family and friends to vicious attacks when she was just a cub. She witnessed firsthand the deaths of countless cubs, and made it her mission to protect as many as she could in the future. She trained as a warrior alongside the pride’s other guards before becoming a broodmother, and as a result, she can seem quite tough and intimidating at first sight, especially to outsiders, who she distrusts. However, despite being a bit overprotective at times, she is popular among her pride and a hero to the cubs she raises. Once you’ve gained her trust, she will be loyal until her last breath.
Despite being an elderly lioness, blind in one eye and beginning to lose her hearing, Khatiba is as sharp as ever. She may not be as fast as she used to be, but she keeps a watchful eye on the playing cubs from her resting spot. When they grow tired of running and wrestling, they gather around her to hear one of her stories. She loves to tell the cubs about legends passed down through the generations, of vicious battles and ancient gods. She is gentle and kind, balancing out Vikela’s fiery energy. You may have met her daughter Kuhle at the clan’s stockpile.
Amina is a very trustworthy lioness. She would die before she saw any of the cubs she protected be harmed. Her goal in life is to find a good home for each and every cub she can. She is confident, kind, and most important to her, gentle. If any cub gets hurt in her presence she will be sure to rush to it and care for it to the best of her ability. Though she may get suspicious of some lions, she does her best to trust every lion and lioness she comes across.

A bloodred shamaness with sharp eyes slowly padded forward, her ears flicking tentatively as he glanced over at her pridemate, a young and snarky-looking frontal patches adolescent. She struts up to Amina, greeting her with a small, friendly growl. "Hey! I heard there were some cubs up for adoption, and I've been looking for a student to work under me when I become a fully-fledged shaman!" She pauses for a breath, continuing with a slower pace and sideways ears. "O-Oh, I'm Snail... just Snail for now. I haven't gained my full shamaness name from Rivers of Blood back there." She gestured behind her to the old shamaness, who was now laying on the roots and under the shade of a baobab tree. Rivers of Blood nodded slowly, yawning. Adoption for Sundust + Merlot (Nyumbani) as well as Livi (Elysium) It had been a long day of visiting shelters, holding pleasant conversation with the broodmothers, and making acquaintance with dozens of angelic cubs. Matriarch Tianki mused over their many faces in her mind. Some of the cubs had run gleeful circles around her, some batted at her tail and body ornaments, others approached cautiously or refrained from leaving their designated spots in the shelters. Nevertheless, there was an important choice to be had. She had promised herself to bring at least one of these many cubs home with her to provide a new life for them. Tianki rose from her resting position just outside the den and padded up to the nearest caretaker. There were three cubs that stuck out in her mind. "I think I've made my decision," she purred "I'd like to adopt Sundust, Merlot and Livi." 0 players like this post! Like? |

Catocala padded over to the caves, leaves crunching under his paws. He sat down and his cucumber colored eyes shimmered in the light. He took a long moment to look around and examine the cubs. WolfArrow was eating a delightful meal caught by his queen lady when he thought about how small his pride was.Wolf stood and walked out into the plains looking for maybe a sign from the gods that he would grow a huge prosperous pride, one that he hoped would rule the plains.He thought for carefully a sec, what if he adopted cubs from family's who didn't want them.He could train and feed them.and they would be the future of his pack.He went to a shelter to adopt and saw two cubs playing named "Arrow" and "feather",he noticed how strong they were and wanted them or if he couldnt get them maybe " shell" and "Minnow".All of the cubs could be the future of his pride if he trained them right.He went up to Khatiba who was a brood mother of Shelter 1: Nyumbani and explained his thoughts and asked if he could have any two of the four he wanted for it was a hard choice and he didnt know if a cub needed a home asp or not. @WolfArrow Khatiba thought for a moment. “They’re all good cubs,” she said. “Shell is nearly an adult, she’ll have to leave soon if she doesn’t get adopted. And Minnow is getting old as well. Why don’t you take those two?” She called the two over, and watched them excitedly follow the visitor out of the den.
