Make sure you do your research and see if all of your feathers are legal to own! Many bird species are protected by the MBTA and it’s illegal to own said species’ feathers, bones, claws, etc. Welcome to the clan nonetheless! 0 players like this post! Like? |

In the UK it looks like my feathers are legal thankfully haha, I actually had no idea that some feathers are illegal to have. So thanks for the heads-up, and thanks for the welcome <3 0 players like this post! Like? |

No problem!! I assume UK laws are different than what we have here in the US, so I’m glad you can keep the feathers! :D 0 players like this post! Like? |

The couple of admins here joke about how it's easier to list what's legal versus what is illegal in the US.. Hopefully nobody kicks down my door for keeping the feathers of my budgie EDIT: He's still very much alive.. he's just molting at the moment. 0 players like this post! Like? Oh there are replies. :D I don't have much in the way of feathers, but I do have a mummified little bird and a dead egg. I would love to own macaw bones and feathers. I have checked and these are legal in some species. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 15/04/20 @ 18:56:49 by eaneul (#110976) |

Is there something special about macaw bones? I'm kinda inexperienced in this, due to the type of household I live in, but I admire it all :,) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Not that I believe , no, but I would like to collect some for my curiosities. I don't have hardly any bird bones. I would especially want a macaw skull to study. I find macaw skulls intriguing and unique. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 15/04/20 @ 20:19:26 by eaneul (#110976) |

So Animal paws are very complex. There's a lot more to them than I had realized. Has anyone ever recreated paws before? What was your challenges with it and what did you do that helped you put it together? What paws have you done? Right now I am trying to figure out how to put together bobcat paws. I think my biggest challenge right now with the paw is trying to figure out the difference between left and right in the claws and bones. I do have a book so far that has a rough diagram of how the paw bones fit together and have been looking at that to try to figure it out. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Oh hekk! Hey, I'm new to vulture culture and this is the first group I've come across. I don't own a lot of bones, only a turtle shell and a snapping turtle we found at the base of an eagle nest. I cam to this group for fellow bone lovers and to ask if anyone has any tips on cleaning bones? I'm going to be cleaning deer bones once hunting season starts and I want to be prepared. Thanks for reading this <3 (Sorry if this is against the rules as I just asked to join the clan and have enough lioness to hunt and feed my pride) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hey! Welcome. I'm new myself. :) So far I have found that scrubbing the bones with dawn and then letting them soak in hydrogen peroxide for a little while works really well with bones. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hello, I’m Sam. I’ve been collecting bones for a few years now, and my favorite piece is definitely the stillborn deer I found last fall. I didn’t even know “vulture culture” was a thing until I joined this clan, and now I see I was a part of it all along. I have a wide variety of bones, just ask if you want to know more about them!!! 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 02/07/20 @ 17:41:15 by Two gnomes in a Trenchcoat (#126313) |

I'd be down for a discord server. I feel like it would be easier to organize and interact in than a thread. 0 players like this post! Like? |
