"The neck." she repeated, having seen enough visions of the feature- lions tearing at prey, prey tearing at lions... the running of her companion brought her back to life, and she started to dash after them. Despite her lack of training she could catch up- making long strides and quick movements she got up beside the other lioness, tail whipping about behind her. She swerved in the other direction, trying to see if she could head it off- she did hope the action wouldn't scare it away!

Divai watched with pride as Lues dashed in front of the antelope. It skidded backwards and stopped, then began to backpedal. Divai jumped the beast and plunged her claws into its flesh and, together, they brought it down. She smiled at Lues. "Good work! Smart move, cutting it off. And now, we feast," she said, taking a chunk out of its hind leg.

Surprised that the maneuver worked, Lues looked down at the body of the antelope the pair had caught- technically despite being on the hunt she had never laid a paw on it. It felt strange to be eating something she didn't catch- even stranger when it was with an individual outside the pride- but either way she lowered her head and started to twist a leg off her prey. "A good feast for two." she spoke.

ack so sorry for my late reply // Divai nodded, swallowing a mouthful of food. "Indeed. It does feel strange to share a meal with a lion outside of my pride, but I do enjoy your company," she said with a smile. She glanced up at the sky, noticing that clouds were rolling in. "Oh, looks like rain. Will you be able to get home before the weather worsens? I'd be willing to shelter you in my den back at my home for a while. Our pride accepts strangers who wish to stay, always have, so you'd be alright staying with us," she said.

"I'll take any company I can get." she spoke, taking a quick bite- almost as if she believed every moment she spent eating was wasted time. Every time she got food in her jaws she would lift her head and gaze about, eyes narrowed and eyeing the world. She didn't even bother looking up at the sky- she already had a feeling in her bones about the incoming rains. Just the scent in the air was enough for her. "I should be able to get back." she said with a nod of her head. "I just need to follow the river a good distance- although I do appreciate your hospitality." She dipped her head to the other lion politely. "I would hate to see what your pridemates would think of one like me in your midst."
