Flamemane looked up at Sandmane, “Sandmane, good to see you, it’s been a little while since we last talked. I hope you and the Lost Stars Pride are doing well. Listen I most likely won’t make it through the night, so - *cough cough* - I have some final things I’d like to say to you before I go. Sandmane, you are very brave and kind, you and your pride have been great allies to us. I can’t - *cough cough* - thank you enough for your kindness and for being such a good friend. *cough cough*” Flamemane coughed between each sentence, struggling to get in air.
“Please help Eclipsemane settle into his new role and give him and tips or advice he may need so he can be a successful mane.” He coughed again, but louder, wheezing hard for air. He coughed and wheezed loudly, his condition getting worse by the second.

Bluebrook panicked, “Everyone back up! He can’t breathe!” She ran over to him, her pregnant belly swaying side to side, she started pushing on Flamemane’s back, trying to push up against his lungs to get in oxygen. “He’s not gonna make it much longer. He can die any second now.” Her eyes were wide, she looked defeated.
Raven and the others stood in shock and fear, while Flamemane’s cubs were trying to hold back their tears.

Flamemane coughed, “Farewell...... my pride..... I am so proud of all of you. My daughters, my son, my huntresses, my friends and family. I love and cherish you all. My daughters..... continue protecting and hunting for the pride. Wildslasher, my first born daughter, Strongattack chose well when she chose you as her replacement as hunt chief before she died. You have proved to be a worthy hunter and leader. Starwisher, Wishmaker, and Leapingfaith, daughters of my beloved mate and queen, Highjumper. Your mother was the love of my life and she passed away about a year ago, and I will soon be reunited with her. And Eclipse, my son, you will make a fine mane..... you are ready. And Sandmane, thank you again. Thank you everyone, I love you all...... farewell.....” He then breathed his last breath and closed his eyes, never to be seen open again.

Everyone gasped in shock and pain, Flamemane’s cubs yowled and cried out in devastation and pain.
Raven stood there, frozen, grieving silently.

Flamemane’s cubs walked over to his body to grieve and touch noses with him one last time.

Sand Mane and Dust Wind followed Raven inside. Both held their head respectfully a bit lower than normally "it's an honor to be able to visit you all."Lioness said showing sympathy for everyone knowing how hurt they were of the situation.

Sand Mane layed down to let it show that he was peaceful "I would be happy to help as much as I'm able to."he said to Eclipse. Sand Mane himself was maybe a bit younger but he had been a Mane good amount of years. He turned to look at Flamemane and listened mane's words "Don't worry old friend. I will help him so you can rest and have a peacefull mind of it.."Sand Mine promised.

Sand Mane and Dust Wind fell quiet when they saw how Flamemane's health dropped. Both of them stayed quiet letting the family members grieve and give their goodbyes to now forever sleeping mane. Sand Mane stayed quiet, grieving now lost friend but Dust Wind was even more brave enough to let her tears show.

Wildslasher wiped her tears and looked at Sandmane, “Sorry that you had to see that, we didn’t know he would die this soon. We thought he would be gone by tomorrow, but.....” She closed her eyes as more tears came out, “We didn’t expect it to happen this soon....”
She took a moment to calm herself, “You can join us for the ceremony if you’d like to. It’s time to call Asra to take his spirit to the stars. And then after that we’ll be having Eclipsemane’s leadership ceremony. I’m sure that he wouldn’t mind you joining.”
Eclipsemane looked up, “I don’t mind at all, you two are more than welcome to join us.”

Wildslasher, Eclipsemane, Starwisher, Wishmaker, and Leapingfaith all helped lift up the old mane’s lifeless body and carried it to the border of their territory. They laid him down in a soft patch of green grass in a field of flowers. These were the flower fields that on the border of their territory was were Flamemane would got to relax and have some quiet time. So laying his body here would be what he would’ve wanted.
Wildslasher sighed and stood in front of her father’s body, waiting for everyone to get settled so she can begin the ceremony.

"we would love to join the ceremonies as long it's okay with everyone.."Sand Mane said and slowly got up. Dust Wind wiped her face from the tears "We want to show our pride's respect for your pride."She said and got up being ready to help if needed.

The two lions walked with them and stopped to the side so all the pride members could take the best spots to settle down. Dust Wind leaned on Sand mane and watched others.

Eclipsemane nodded, he and the others turned their gaze to Wildslasher.

Wildslasher took a deep breath, “We are gathered here today in loving memory of Flamemane the founder and first mane of the Moonstone Pride. Flamemane was a great mane, he was fair, kind, and passionate. He treated all of his pride members equally and cherished every single one. I, Wildslasher, was his first born daughter, born to Loyalheart, the first lioness to join the Moonstone Pride when Flamemane first started it. After Loyalheart, came Strongattack, the pride’s first hunt chief. A few years ago before Strongattack passed away, she wanted the first born lioness of the second generation to be the next hunt chief, and so she chose me. Flamemane loved all of his cubs deeply. His beloved mate/queen Highjumper had multiple litters of cubs with Flamemane, and she passed away a year after Strongattack, Loyalheart, and a few other huntresses did. Starwisher, Wishmaker, and Leapingfaith were all Flamemane and Highjumper’s daughters. But now that Flamemane is gone, he may now be reunited with his beloved mate and his other past huntresses. He will never be forgotten and will be in our hearts forever, for he was the one who started this pride, and we thank him for everything that he’s done for us. Now we ask Asra to take his spirit to the stars, so he may be reunited with his loved ones who have passed and that he may rest peacefully for the rest of eternity. Huntresses and fellow pride members, let me and Asra hear your voices so that the spirit of Flamemane will be taken to the stars!”

Everyone nodded and lifted their heads up to the night sky, roaring to Asra. After a few minutes of roaring, everyone fell silent.

Wildslasher nuzzled her father’s face one last time before standing up, “His spirit is with Asra now, we must let the earth take his body. We have laid him in this grassy field of beautiful flowers, Flamemane liked to come here to relax and have some quiet time. He would’ve wanted to be placed here. He would want his body to fertilize the flowers so that future generations can enjoy this flower field that he loved so much. Goodbye father, may your spirit rest peacefully with Asra in the stars.”

Everyone grieved silently and said their final goodbyes before heading back to the pride.

After everyone of the pride had said their final goodbyes the two visiters walked to Flamemane's body "may you now rest in piece and have the joy of rejoining the old members of your pride, old friend.."he said. He took one of the flowers from Dust Wind's crown and placed it down to Flamemane's paws. "it was a beautiful ceremony.."lioness said and started to walk after her Mane who was going to follow others, they still had one more ceremony to be part of.

Everyone returned to the pride, Wildslasher and Eclipse climbed onto the rocky ledge that was on top of the mane’s cave den.
Everyone gathered around and turned their attention to the hunt chief and their new mane.

Wildslasher cleared her throat, “Fellow members of the Moonstone Pride! Now that Flamemane is gone, it is now time to appoint Eclipse as our new mane! Eclipse is the son of Flamemane and Bladetooth.”
At the sound of her name, Bladetooth looked at the hunt chief, the older black huntress watched her son with pride.

Wildslasher turned to her half brother, “Eclipse, son of Flamemane. Our father has been training you to become mane for years now, are you ready to take this new responsibility and take your new role in the pride?”
Eclipse nodded, “I am, Wildslasher.”

Wildslasher nodded, “Very well then. Eclipse, do you promise to lead your pride and treat your pride members equally with love and respect?”
“I do.” Eclipse responded.

“And do you promise to pledge your life to your pride and swear to protect your huntresses and fellow pride members with your life?” Wildslasher said.
“I do swear, Hunt Chief.” Eclipse responded.

Wildslasher nodded, “Then by the powers of the goddesses, it is my honor as hunt chief to name you as our new mane. From now on you shall be know as Eclipsemane. Huntresses and fellow pride members! Let me hear your voices in agreement!”

Everyone roared loudly in response.

Wildslasher dipped her head respectively to the new mane, “Then we are agreed. Welcome Eclipsemane, our new leader of the Moonstone Pride.”

Everyone roared in celebration, welcoming the new mane.

Eclipsemane dipped his head, “Thank you everyone, I promise to serve you the best I can. And I am looking forward to working with you, Wildslasher, my half sister and hunt chief. I will try to be the best mane that I possibly can, and I hope you will see me a mane you can be proud to be lead by.”

Sand mane and Dust Wind followed the ceremony from the side lines. Both of them smiled a bit when they saw the new mane "Congradulations! Shall Moonstone pride's and Lost Stars pride's friendship continue as strong as it can."he said. "if there is anything don't be shy and ask us. As allies we will help and work together when needed."he added.

Eclipsemane looked at Sandmane and nodded with a smile, “Thank you, Sandmane! I look forward to working with you and the Lost Stars Pride! You two are free to go home now. Tell the others about Flamemane’s death and that I’m mane now.”

Raven padded over to them, “Also, tell White I said hi.”

Sand Mane nodded "I look forward to work with Moonstone pride like always."he said and turned to look at Raven "I will tell him."he promised. Dust Wind said her goodbyes to other lionesses and the new mane before she joined Sand mane for the walk back home.

When the next day started to shine White left to his patrol with unusual way. With him was a group of lionesses and many new faces. White was a bit annoyed by not getting his calm walk but he was happy enough to show with others the terrytory's borders.

Raven walked towards the border, he had news for White.
Flint had left the pride and became a no mane today. He told him to tell White and the young lionesses that he said goodbye.

White lifted his head when he noticed a familiar figure on the other side. He slowed down until he stopped fully "hello."he said. White male tilted his head kind of looking a bit where Flint was. Slow web looked around with Spotted hope both females would have wanted to see new friend. With the two females were were some new ones who were learning the territory.

Raven looked at White, “Hi, I’m sure that you heard about Flamemane passing away last week....”

Raven looked down, trying to calm down, and then looked back up at the white male, “Well, I have news. Flint left the pride and became a no mane today. He told me to tell you that he wanted to say goodbye to you and to Spottedhope and Slowweb. He says that he hopes that you all will live happy lives and that he will miss you all, especially Spottedhope. He had a real soft spot for her, and he really cares about her too.”

Raven looked at the two young lionesses, Flint’s closest friends.
