A feminine, monotone voice echoes through the halls of a suburban family home, "An estimated 250 dogs live at the plant itself, 225 in the city of Chernobyl, and hundreds more roam around, for a total of more than 1,000, according to SPCA International. Wolves and the need for food have driven the dogs from wooded areas surrounding the plant into the Exclusion Zone." Suddenly, a sharper female voice cuts in. "Don't watch something so depressing, sweetie. The puppies are fine." The screen goes black.

setting music
The city is picturesque from the television screen. Though living amongst the crumbling, overgrown, radioactive buildings is another hell entirely. Dogs whose ancestors were abandoned by their masters in order to escape the explosion generations ago still remain here to this day, too far into the Exclusion Zone to be saved by any humans residing outside of Chernobyl. Many have been born with birth defects, sometimes visible but more often affecting their minds, organs and lifespans. Two major packs have risen out of the dust, Abolition and Insurgent. The packs have always been at odds but due to the encroachment of wolves and low resources, space is low and tempers are at an all time high. Can they come together to overcome the odds or will their own greed tear them down?

──────────────────────────────────────────────────

Current season: Early Winter. [Frigid temperatures. Long nights, short and dark days.]
Current major events:
Time Skip!! 9/5

Two Abolition dogs have been killed by Insurgent pack members. This has caused unrest in both packs.

A massive snow storm has swept over Chernobyl, bringing an early winter and a shortage of supplies.

Artemis| Abolition Outskirts| Mentions- Kardama, Selkie

Arty let out a squeak as her face was mushed into the snow. She came up sputtering and indignant. She flicked the snow off her snout with a glare at Kardama. Artemis stood up and shook herself, then sat down again with her ears back and watched the fluffy dog coldly, before turning around with her snout up. The young wolf was trying to hold in hysterical laughter though. She would have to remember some of those witty insults for later...

Koroneis| Insurgent Camp| Mentions- I dunno-

Koroneis yawned, listening to the chatter of the camp. Tok cawed and quorked to her quietly. Koro got to her paws quietly. She was really hoping not to run into anyone. She padded as silently as she could towards the camp exit. She was in no hurry however, and she didn't want to disturb Tok too much. He started leaning towards a den, grabbing her ear with one claw and trying to steer her. Koroneis stopped and sat down, twisting her head to knock the raven off of her shoulders and pin him gently under her paws. "Tok!" she said in his language. "What's gotten into you?" He made a few cries back at her, but she couldn't figure out what words he was saying. She let him go and the black bird pecked at her paws, not really hurting her. She frowned at him, then he bolted for the den. The coyote-dog threw back her head in frustration. "Tokkk!" she walked after the bird huffily.

Shadow | Den (Insurgent Camp) | Opeeeeen
Shadow had just settled in their den, across from the doorway into Quill's room, when they heard loud caws from outside. "Sounds like Koroneis is nearby." They smiled, watching as Quill slept peacefully.

Unnamed Raven- He flew over a camp and, seeing another raven perched on a dog's back, flew into a den after it.

Tok-

Tok poked his head into the den, curious. He hopped inside with a caw, then ducked as another raven swopped down and landed. He fluffed his feathers up, narrowing his eyes at his fellow bird. His beak was slightly agape in surprise.

Being| Insurgent Outskirts| Mentions, Bates, Demesu, Luxnas, Stixx

Being smiled, keeping his eyes trained on the other dog. Then as Stixx got up and bolted he snarled, racing after them. He stopped on the hay, sniffing. He kept very still. "Well, then, loves." He craned his head around to Luxnas and Bates. "Looks like we're having a bit of fun after all." Being jumped off the hay with a laugh.

Kardama| Loner | Location: Abolition Outskirts. (Forest.)
Mentions: Artemis, Selkie.

"There is much more use to a dog than just being able to fight and hunt, you know. Such as being able to negotiate with enemies, help build dens, collect materials and herbs, and so on! Not necessarily that your peanut-shell brain could comprehend all of those fantastical possibilities." Kardama's gaze remained steady on the small dog as she spoke, completely ignoring the insults she had woofed at the pup just moments before. Her head tilted slightly in thought, allowing her eyes to wander about the trees for a moment. After a brief second of deliberation she nodded slowly. Even the most petite of dogs can find purpose in packs, I suppose. She had finally decided, allowing her attention to snap back onto the tiny dame. Her eyes scanned over the fluffy figure and she hummed softly. But even with her attitude, she is indeed small. Could she ever fair well without the protection of her pack? Her nose twisted slightly from discomfort. The idea of being tied down to a group was more than unsettling to the brutish female. She was used to this life, however, 'fighting and hunting' for herself was all she knew. Perhaps if she had been raised in a pack setting the shoe would be the other foot in this situation.

"If you really must stay longer, I can at least lead you to a safer place. The wolves don't cross the border often, but they could be very easily tempted by the possibility of easy prey. Staying so close to the border wouldn't be worth the risk." Her head raised slightly in surprise at the words and the look on her face grew somewhat suspicious. "Hmm. I thought we weren't allowed to step a paw further into your territory. Why the change of heart?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. The tone in her voice matched her distrustful leer, though her words were also laced with a tinge of amusement. She sat and awaited an answer, and despite the small dog's invitation she made no move to rise to her feet. This could be a trap, I've heard of packs eating loners in desperation. A group wouldn't hesitate to be rid of a loner on their territory anyway. Why should I trust her? Despite the alarming thoughts running through her mind her expression remained constant. She finally glanced down at Artemis between her paws, almost chuckling at the pup's turned-up snout. She let the tension in her mind relax, giving Selkie another glance-over. I'm being too cautious, I suppose it's best to move where it's safe. Perhaps I can even convince her to take in this brat while I'm at it. Kardama lifted herself to her paws and gave her muscles a mighty stretch. She shook the few flecks of snow away from her sleek coat and stood protectively over the pup, staring at the Pomeranian-mix for some while before speaking. "Will it be far? I'm not keen on losing sight of the forest."

Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Camp
Mentions: Cassie(Directly)

"Nope, I don't think -hic!- I've ever had any at all. Papa's never mentioned any, at-" Aramis looked confused as the whelp cut herself off, though her confusion quickly melting away into amusement at the multitude of hiccups that came soon after. Aramis opted to give her enough time to continue her sentence, but after the silence, interuppted by hiccups, dragged on it seemed she wasn't going to explain further, or answer Aramis's last question. Puppies are... odd things. Just before she asked again, the whelp finally answered. "Yeah! It's Cassiopeia, I think!" You think? Huh..
Her eyes narrowed slightly as she eyed Stoney with an awfully haughty glare, before turning away from him. Don't get Aramis wrong she's no saint that wouldn't say one negative word about another dog, but at least she hides it when she's judging someone. "Alright..." Aramis paused, recalling her name, which was a mouthful, after a heartbeat or two. "...Cassie. I understand you'd like to go back with your father," Who sounds like a deadbeat. "but I think it's best if you stay with us for a little while, yeah? Maybe until your father turns up." Aramis didn't really believe the brute would come back for Cassie, but Aramis isn't that cruel to just spit that out. You never know, anyway.

Vanadis | Loner | Location: Unclaimed Territory
Mentions: Roland(Directly)

Just as the hare was slipping from her grasp, Vanadis was flipped over, the alabaster hued dame falling onto her back with a surprised huff, paws flailing. Swinging her legs, she flipped herself back on her paws in a surprisingly quick way, looking up just in time to see Roland plop the hare beside her. "I had that." She growled out softly, her words coming out between small pants as she did so. She didn't sound very insistent or angry about it, it sounded rather discouraged more than anything. Her face was fixed with a sad and dissapointed expression, a frown on her features as she gazed at the hare. Vanadis, in reality, wouldn't have 'had that' had it not been for Roland, but she wasn't about to admit that in a million years. "You did good, however, if it were not for the stupidity of this particular prey-item, you'd be left empty-pawed. Despite your unfortunate slip-up, you at least managed to do something. Ah, but don't worry- you will improve with each hunt, failed or not." Roland's praise seemed to lighten Vanadis up at least by a little, judging by how her tail lifted and wagged slowly behind her.

"At least I got close to it!" She piped up, in a much more hopeful tone than her words before. Vanadis walked forward, nudging her nose against the cooling fur of the hare. Her sad disposition seemed to ebb away rather quickly as she looked up at Roland, tail wagging faster now. "We can howl now, right?" She asked, not forgetting Roland's inquiry if she wanted to earlier.

Cassiopeia | Loner | Insurgent Camp | Mentions: Aramis [directly] Shadow, Stoney [indirectly] Sullivan [NPC]

"...Cassie. I understand you'd like to go back with your father, but I think it's best if you stay with us for a little while, yeah? Maybe until your father turns up." Cassiopeia's head tilted first at the nickname, then a bit more at the mention of her father. Should she? Well, maybe.. Perhaps... "How often do you dogs eat around here?" A very important question. It would likely determine her feelings about the pack as a whole, really. Not that she would kindly ask for and receive food, like any other pup. "Also, what about you? What's your name? Or, what can I call you? And ALSO, who's that de- that quiet pup right there? Why isn't he talking? And who was that big black dog? They smelled like blood. Not good blood, though. Dog blood. Is there an injured dog here? Have they been treated? Are you important? You seem important. At least to me. Oh, were you the one that took me out of the snow? Maybe that's why!" The barrage of questions and comments finally ceased, head cocking to the side once more, expression and demeanor completely innocent. She did want the answers to all of these questions, however, she'd asked them all at once mostly for the sake of testing the spotted dog's temper and patience.

Roland | Loner | Outside of Territories | Mentions; Vanadis [directly]

"At least I got close to it!" Roland's glare softened, ever so slightly. They'd known each other for only about a day, and yet, the pup was worming her way into his heart, bit by bit. "We can howl now, right?" His ears suddenly seemed to perk forwards, despite already standing up straight on top of his head. His stub tail gave an eager little wag behind him, fortunately out of sight for the pup. "Yes, lets." He hesitated for a moment, before standing up and turning his snout to the vast, open sky, inhaling the sharp, cool air. It felt like needles in his lungs, but it was refreshing, nonetheless. He quickly readjusted his posture so that he stood high and proud, his presence radiating confidence. He took another deep inhale, and closed his eyes, jaws parting. The sound that followed was booming and impressive, boldly loud enough to echo throughout the city, possibly even reaching the territories. It was a song of victory, while also a reminder to any surrounding dogs that he was still here, still undefeated.

Selkie | Abolition | Abolition Territory | Mentions; Kardama [directly] Artemis, Roland [indirectly]

"Hmm. I thought we weren't allowed to step a paw further into your territory. Why the change of heart?" Selkie blinked, as if trying to process the inquiry. She suddenly grew warm beneath her pelt, despite the biting cold. Oh, I did say that, didn't I? Embarrassment flashed across her face in the form of what looked like annoyance. "Nothing- It doesn't matter. Besides, you aren't a threat right now. And-" She stumbled slightly over her own words, as if contemplating whether or not she should give anything away. "If you do become one, I do have pack members to help get rid of you." Well, sure, sounded about right. She cooled down after she shut her mouth, although still a little bit ashamed. and let her face fall back into it's usual, cold grimace. She focused on the Rottweiler-mix's expression, studying it carefully as it switched from suspicion to slight ease. Her dark gaze flickered to the bigger dog's as she looked down at the pup. What pretty eyes... I wish mine looked like that. She shook the envy from her mind when she noticed the broad standing up. "Will it be far? I'm not keen on losing sight of the forest." She considered this for a moment. She'd been planning on leading them to a secure building closer to the power plant, but if they really wanted to keep in sight of the forest... "I can lead you to a safe building before the fence. But it won't be in the forest." She used a simple movement of her head to motion towards where some trees began to thin out into blank snow, giving way for abandoned buildings. "Not too far, though. You'll still be able to see birds moving about the trees." A fuzzy ear twitched when a drawling howl, some distance away, reached them. Yeah, cause that's not nerve-wracking as hell.

Shadow | Den (Insurgent Territory) | Tok, Koroneis, Unnamed Raven Companion
Shadow looked up in surprise as a raven flew into their den, narrowly avoiding colliding with Koroneis and Tok, who was perched atop her back. "Well hello there." They said, looking between the three of them. "What can I do for you?"

Kardama| Loner | Location: Abolition Outskirts. (Forest.)
Mentions: Artemis, Selkie.

The rottweiler mix's eyes softed slightly as the smaller dog stumbled over her words. "Nothing- It doesn't matter. Besides, you aren't a threat right now. And- If you do become one, I do have pack members to help get rid of you." The blatant threat seemed to roll right off of her back. Well, she chose to believe it was more of a bluff than a threat. "I see." She mumbled out, allowing her gaze to settle onto the small dog. "I can lead you to a safe building before the fence. But it won't be in the forest." As the dame nodded her head, Kardama followed the motion towards the distance. "Hmm." The simple noise slipped out of her throat before she could stuff it away. She wasn't entirely pleased to be leaving the 'safety' of the trees. Moving further into Abolition's territory was the last thing she had wanted. Well, at least it's shelter. She thought, narrowing her eyes. Giving one last glance towards Artemis she strolled over the pup and took a few pawsteps towards the smaller pack dog. "Lead the way then." She woofed in her gravelly voice. Her tattered ears swung backwards as an odd bay carried in the wind. She swiveled her massive head around and leered in the direction of the noise. It sounds close to where we came from. Odd. Her brow furrowed slightly before she cast a curious gaze towards the wolfdog pup.

Jonah| Loner | Location: Insurgent Camp.
Mentions: Aramis, Isa, Tok, Koroneis.

"I don't need a thief robbing my pack blind while we sleep, things are hard enough as it is. Leave, Jonah. I won't tell you again." The words made him physically cringe but he made no retort. "Well you didn't have to put it like thatβ€”" He mumbled and took a semi-step back but made no move to leave, despite the other dog's warning. He stared after her as she strolled over to Aramis and exchanged a few words. The sight of his neice wandering off made him a bit more then tense, as if her being there would possibly help his situation. Ah. I guess I'm alone then. He thought with a slight, nervous laugh. Once the spotted dame had left, he slunk back towards his sister. He avoided her blind side, skirting around to sit beside her. "Well, it's gonna turn off night soon. You wouldn't send your brother off into the cold would you? I've come a long way." He softened his voice, hoping his plea would do something, anything. However, he dropped the act and allowed a frown to form on his face as he was only met with a cold silence. Sheesh. Is she a robot? He thought, rolling his eyes to look in the opposite direction.

The sight of a bird flashing across camp caused him to quickly hop to his feet. What the hell was that? As the second bird followed suit, he took a few steps back. A coyote-looking dame seemed to be chasing them and disappeared into the same shadowy den. "Ah-ha, quite a lively pack you have here." He chimed nervously before stepping to the other side of Isa and plopping back down onto his haunches. "Look- Let me stay the night, I'll be gone in the morning." He finally offered, letting his gaze fall to the ground at his paws. "I'm not sure I want to stay after seeing that." He added, the sentence coming out in a hushed mumble.

Aramis | Insurgent Scout | Location: Insurgent Camp
Mentions: Cassie(Directly) Stoney(Indirectly)

"How often do you dogs eat around here?" Aramis wasn't even surprised by the question, considering how quickly Cassie had wolfed down her food. Aramis sat back, as if she was pondering over her answer. Prey's been scarce than normal because of the early winter, but I shouldn't just... say that, right? She might actually just opt to go off on her own. Yeah, best not be too honest about that. She was even surprised she managed to find this hare so easily. "Enough to the point we don't starve, little one." She answered, though it probably wasn't an answer that Cassiopeia was looking for. It wasn't like Aramis was being untruthful, none of them looked starvedβ€” well, maybe Koroneis, but she's always been thin. Aramis's head turned to the sound of Jonah's voice, who she was surprised was still here despite Isa dismissing him so coldly. She didn't get too much time to watch them, however, as she was suddenly bombarded with Cassie's questions.
Maybe that's why!" Her ears pulled back, pausing to make sure the flood of questions truly ended, a brow raising as she noticed the whelp looked like she was studying her. Odd.

"Uh, my names Aramis, and him?" Aramis looked to Stoney as if she was also a bit confused. Why wasn't he talking? I mean, its good, at least the scout wasn't being too overwhelmed, especially if Stoney behaved much like Cassie. "Stoney, if I recall correctly. Andβ€” I don't know why he's not talking, not everyone wants to talk, you know." She huffed, hoping her last words didn't sound too hostile, which she didn't want them to come across as. She just hoped Cassie wasn't going to pick on him in the future. Aramis grimaced as she recalled Cassie's inquiries about Shadow and Quillon, frowning slightly before she spoke again. "That was Shadow, our Beta. And yeah, someone was hurt, my brother, but he'll be fine, it wasn't anything too bad, and yes, he's been treated." She said, knowing she wasn't entirely telling the truth. He was recovering, yeah, but he looked bad. Aramis was a little curious as to why Cassie seemed so interested in if he was being treated, though. "Important? Me? I'm the daughter of our leader but I'm not really important despite that, I'm just a scout. See whats going on out in the territory. And yes, I found you out in the storm, I almost thought I was too late." She finally finished, looking to Cassie to see if she was satisfied. Aramis didn't mean her words in a despondent or depressing way, it was just true to Aramis. Being a scout wasn't anything special, and Isa didn't make any of her children seem very important, either.

Vanadis | Loner | Location: Unclaimed Territory
Mentions: Roland(Directly)

"Yes, lets." Vanadis hummed, waiting for Roland to begin how howl before she did. She just wanted to see how an old man like him could get enough air in his lungs to do so. The thought of that amused her, and her expression showed said amusement clearly as she gazed at Roland expectantly, whiskers twitching. Her ears flipped back as his voice unexpectedly boomed out in a loud howl, eyes rounded. Wow! He can actually do it! I thought dogs couldn't howl as well. She thought, trying to mimic Roland's own confident posture by adopting a wide stance, lifting her head to the sky and inhaling like Roland did. Her voice drew from her maw in a howl a heartbeat or two after Roland's, harmonizing with him. Her howl was loud and a bit high pitched as it cut through the cold air, carrying far into the city and even farther than that, remaining steady just before it trailed off.
Vanadis turned to look at Roland, her tail wagging as she looked at him with a surprisingly warm gaze. "You know, my parents would tell me that if you heard 'The Ravager's howl while you were near your territory, it basically meant you were doomed." She said, in an oddly cheerful voice before she walked over to 'her' catch, grabbing it by the scruff and dragging it with her as she walked underneath Roland, stopping just between his forelegs. "What am I know? Little Ravager?" Her voice was muffled by the hare as she spoke, almost hard to understand.

Deanira | Insurgent Co-Lead | Location: Insurgent Territory --> Insurgent Camp
Mentions: Isa(Directly) Synopy, Likaen, Insurgent basically lololo

Deanira's black and tan hued muzzle wrinkled against the scent of Insurgent as she, Likaen, and Synopy finally crossed over into Insurgent's territory, dark brown eyes narrowed as she stared straight ahead towards their camps general direction. She was surprised to see that nobody was really in their path, so the trio didn't have much trouble when they eventually found themselves in rival territory. You'd think someone like Isa would make sure her territory is guarded. Deanira huffed contemptiously at the thought, though it was muffled by the snow that crumbled loudly underneath her paws.
Deanira said little to her companions as she walked, and if they did say something to her she probably wouldn't have said anything at all, seemingly lost in her thoughts, planning out what she'd say to Insurgent and that broad they call a leader. The hulking doe did come to her senses as they had gotten deeper into Insurgent territory, ears pricked and eyes open for anyone coming to meet them. It wouldn't be that hard to spot anyone, either, the snow would make anyone stick out, unless they had light fur. The scent of Insurgent was thick in the air by the time they were nearing their hospital, and her pace would finally slow once other canines came into view.

It seemed as though Abolition scent had already been picked up by some, judging by the surprised, hostile looks that suddenly spun in the three leader's direction, though Deanira ignored the gazes burning into her pelt, instead her gaze danced around, presumably looking for their leader. Her gaze landed on the somewhat familiar gray pelt of Isa, turned away from Deanira and her companions, with another gray furred dog. Whoever it was, Deanira didn't care for. "Care for a word, Isa?" Deanira suddenly barked, her voice loud as it echoed through their camp, ensuring that if someone didn't know they were here most definitely knew now. Deanira's steps eventually came to a stop, her posture confident and tall as she stared daggers at the Insurgent leadess. "Would you mind explaining why we have found a corpse of our delta riddled with Insurgent stench? In our territory, must I add." Her voice was low and controlled, yet it dripped with genuine animosity as she leered at the other doe, floppy ears pressed against her blocky skull.

Likaen | Insurgent Camp | Denira, Synopy, Aramis, Isa, Stoney, Casseopia, Jonah
Likaen was keeping an eye out for any dogs as they traveled, but saw no one. This was strange, especially as they moved into Insurgent territory. However, he could not give much thought to this. As they reached the camp, and Deanira approached Isa, Likaen sat back on his haunches and waited for her response.

Synopy | Abolition Co-lead | Insurgent Camp | Mentions: (Direct) Isa, Deanira, Likaen (Indirect) Jade

Heading into Insurgent camp, right behind Deanira. She had been quiet for most of the walk, to match the atmosphere the other two had given into. They all silently had agreed without saying a word, that they'd rather not discuss too much during the walk. After a short while, Insurgent scent was very strong and it was definitely their camp as the gray-coated dog was clear in sight. "Care for a word, Isa?" Deanira confronted the leader, breaking the silence between the leaders. "Would you mind explaining why we have found a corpse of our delta riddled with Insurgent stench? In our territory, must I add." Synopy, had a feeling that this might've been news to the dog. The crime scene hadn't been committed long ago. "We certainly would not like your dogs coming into our territory and slaughtering ours, and neither would you like ours to do the same. Yet it has dreadfully happened," she said with a sigh, Synopy wasn't one to try and rile up someone who hadn't yet reacted. She glanced back at Likaen, did he have anything to say?

Stoney | Insurgent Pup (?) or Loner | Insurgent Camp | Mentions:

Stoney watched the spotted dog and the other pup talk, he didn't speak up very much. "Well, I suppose I'll leave you for now. Keep an eye on Stoney if he decides to stay here, will you?" He jumped up to say a quick goodbye, "Byebye Shadow!!!" the little pup squeaked, but he wasn't sure that he was still easily heard. Maybe that's why!" he heard the other pup say, as his ears picked up to the mention of himself. And other than that, the flurry of questions had him wanting to reply too. "Stoney, if I recall correctly. Andβ€” I don't know why he's not talking, not everyone wants to talk, you know." Aramis, or the big spotted dog, was right. He wasn't exactly wanting to talk right at this moment. "I can talk I can talk! I was just listening, also, dog blood?????? Scary,,,,blood is bad." Stoney said innocently, and trying to prove that he COULD talk. "I don't know who that big black dog is, but I'm sure that he's nice! Right? Wait, what if he isn't a dog? No, that isn't possible right??? Is it?????" he continued, not letting the others have a chance to respond.

Koroneis/Tok| Insurgent Camp| Mentions- I dunno- everyone in camp-?

Tok stared at the other raven for a shocked second, before twisting his head towards Shadow. "Curious, is all." He cawed at them, then edged past his fellow bird and met Koroneis a little ways from the den. She was frowning deeply. "Tok!" she growled exasperatedly, batting at him. "Why must you barge into everyone's business??" Tok croaked at her and she snorted at him. She turned her elegant snout towards the chatter in the camp. That weird Isa-looking dog was giving her the creeps. Having two of Isa was simply too much for the shy coyote-dog. She didn't know him though, he could be different- her mind protested. But she was still unsure. Tok started walking right towards the Isa-dog, his wings half spread for balance. He then leaped gracefully in the air and swirled around Jonah's head with his eyes narrowed. He could tell how nervous this dog made Koroneis feel, and he wanted to investigate. The raven went waves of air down as he hovered just out of jumping distance, in case this dog was as cruel as Isa could be. Koroneis took a few steps towards them with her ears back, but she was too nervous to intervene. She could feel that danger underneath her, however, and she wasn't sure what she'd do if things went south... She sat down with a fearful expression, her eyes flickering from her best friend, to Jonah, to Isa and back. She knew her pack leader disliked Tok.

Isa | Insurgent Leader | Location: Insurgent camp.
Mentions: Deanira, Likaen, Synopy, Jonah (Directly.) Koroneis, Tok (Indirectly.)

"Well, it's gonna turn off night soon. You wouldn't send your brother off into the cold would you? I've come a long way." Nothing. She responded by keeping her cold leer trained straight ahead. She was keen on ignoring him, to the best of her ability. Does he ever stop blabbering? She thought, her brow furrowing as his voice finally trailed off. As he began to shift around and waltz over to her blinded side, Isa's fur began to rise along her back. "Look- Let me stay the night, I'll be gone in the morning." At this point she had already tuned him out, only annoyed by the fact that he was lingering around so close to her. It was this agitation that caused her miss Insurgent's guests all together, though she didn't hesitate to greet them once they had come to her attention.

"Care for a word, Isa?" Her ear tilted back at the familiar voice and she swiveled around to meet it. The sight of the three leaders caused the ridge of hair along her back to rise significantly. "Would you mind explaining why we have found a corpse of our delta riddled with Insurgent stench? In our territory, must I add." She stood silently as she processed the question, her brow furrowing from confusion. "We certainly would not like your dogs coming into our territory and slaughtering ours, and neither would you like ours to do the same. Yet it has dreadfully happened," Her cold gaze shifted onto the golden-furred lass as they spoke, her eyes scanning her methodically. She seemed much calmer than the larger dame and for some reason that irked Isa more than Deanira's blatant hostility. The gall... She lifted her head to send a chilled look around camp at her subordinates, using that short amount of time to process the information dumped on her. Who has done it this time? Fang? Her lip peeled back slightly as she remembered the slinking form of Slate from earlier. So that's why- A grimace of rage settled across her face and she took a bold step towards the three intruders, redirecting that anger straight at them. "I know nothing of that broad's death." She spat out finally, "Would you mind explaining why you've brought your own stench here? In my camp, I must add." She glared directly at Deanira as she hissed the words out. Barely noticing her brother's quick departure, she only glanced over from her foes for a mere second as the sound of flapping wings lit through the air. She could feel the muscles in her legs tensing as she fought back the urge to leap into the air and sink her teeth into the noisy animal. If that thing can't be kept under control...

Her face quickly snapped back towards the three other leaders, her lips peeled back in a clear snarl. "I'm not sure what you thought would come of this visit, but I'm not interested in your pity party." She finally growled out. "If I recall correctly, this is the second dog you've lost in merely a week? Perhaps your pack could manage to keep their throats in tact if you'd teach them some common sense, but it doesn't seem you have much to share seeing as how you galivanted directly into my territory." She snorted and relaxed her aggressive demeanor, turning her shoulder to the trio as if they were beneath her attention. There wasn't much they could do in this situation. In Isa's eyes, this was entirely foolish. Risking all three of their lives to come and confront me over a dog's death? What exactly were they planning on doing if the situation turned awry, fighting an entire pack of dogs and leaving their own group leaderless? Idiots. She grumbled slightly in thought before opening her mouth to speak once again, "Go home and mourn, lest you intend to end up like your beloved delta."

Jonah| Loner | Location: Insurgent Camp.
Mentions: Isa, Tok, Aramis (Directly.) Deanira, Likaen, Synopy (Indirectly.)

He noticed the three strange dogs long before Isa had, staring at them curiously as they strolled right into camp. Ah. They seem, familiar? Do I know them? He tilted his head slightly at the thought, his flopped ears waving gently in the cold breeze. At the largest dame's booming voice, he quickly pulled himself to his feet and glanced between them and his sister. "Haha- Maybe I should.." He slowly began to step away, only then noticing the creeping, horrendous, figure of that bird. It was coming right towards him and he froze in fear, staring blankly at the overgrown pigeon for a moment as he flapped it's terrifying wings and took to the air. "Oh, hell no." He mumbled out and lurched away from Tok as he began to fly around his head. Heading for the closest cover, Jonah bolted for the safety of the hospital. Once inside, he all but slid across the tile flooring. As he skirted past he noticed the spotted coat of his niece, as well as two small pups surrounding her. So she does have pups. He thought with a gasp, staring at her with a miffed expression as he finally came to a stop.

Finally remembering the horrible flying attacker, he scrambled towards Aramis and positioned himself on the opposite side of the door to her. "If it comes in here, eat it." He woofed out quietly to the spotted female, glaring out suspiciously into the dimming light. "Ah- Also, hello pups." He managed to greet the two smaller dogs without ever tearing his eyes away from the entrance. "Also, also. Uh- your mom seems to have company, I think they're from the other pack. They don't seem too happy." He finally let his gaze shift away and his face scrunched slightly in thought. "She doesn't seem very happy either but when has she ever-" He added quietly to himself, humming softly.
