Welcome to Athena's Adoption Center!
 We (the broodmothers) take in and adopt out unwanted babies! RULES: 1. DO NOT adopt if the plan is to chase/kill/sell or otherwise. *When adopting, please use NAMES in the RP response, and then put the links at the end. Using links in place of names makes it hard to read, but it helps me keep them in order if you include a link at the end. **BROODMOTHERS ARE NOT ADOPTABLE. Sandstorm approached the cave slowly,cautious. @Bunnie (#262799) As the young king approaches the cub Akta, Athena approaches as well. Athena beckons for Akta to follow and then leads him to a lioness who had entered the cave before him. When he asks Little Dreamer to join his pride, Dreamer runs to Athena and asks if he’s allowed to go. Kuchanua had now returned with a sad look in his eyes, his tail swaying lowly. "I have a cub that is in need of a home.. do you think that you may be able to take him in? His name is Rabbit." He sat down, gently sweeping Rabbit over to his side. "I understand if you can’t of course." He purred. "Not everyone has room for male cubs." Athena gives a soft, raspy laugh in return. "Of course we have room for him, dear. My adoption center has room for any and all cubs who need a place to stay. Why, we haven't had a single male fail to be adopted yet!" The aged feline crouches down slowly to Rabbit's level and gives him a reassuring lick over his soft kitten forehead fur. She stands back up, wincing from the pressure on her joints, and speaks to Kuchanua again. A lioness dressed in jewels padded up to the cave. She held dripping shells in her mouth. She dropped them and smiled sincerely. "My mate, Jeresulam has heard of your retirement. No queen such as you deserves to go out without their natural beauty. I have brought a gold beetle and some shells to bring your youth forth. She chuckled nervously before continuing, "This is very, very kind of you, I... thank you. Thank you. It means a lot to me." The lioness picks up the gifts and carries them back to her resting place, to be used once she has the time. Whitetuft padded over to the nursery and glanced around at the various Cubs playing and running around. Her eye was caught by a quiet juvenile in the corner of the den seeming rather uninterested in the chaos unfolding around her. “What’s your name dear?” The pale queen asked. “Alfena” the adolescent quietly replied. “How would you like to come home with me?” She purred softly. Alfena's face lights up with a mixture of joy and relief that she's finally being adopted. "Wait here, I have to go ask first!" She bolts out of the cave and over to Athena, who is sitting at the pride's drinking hole and admiring her new reflection. Alfena nearly slips into the water in her excited haze. They converse for a short while before the adolescent comes sprinting back into the cave towards the visiting queen. "She said yes! I can go home with you, I can get a new home-" She cuts off, nervously looking up at the lioness like she was afraid she had been too much.
