Edit: we’ve got an Amorphous Globosus CD coming! I’ll link the CD page when it’s approved!

trying to get a decor for this through soon!
Amorphous Globosus only occurs in twins (so likely could only happen with a lioness pregnant with two cubs?) and it pretty much just makes one baby a ball. no joke. just a hair ball.
it would be pretty useless (and honestly i’m not even sure it would work bc the balls aren’t sentient or alive they’re just meat and fur sacks that are sometimes filled with meat, bones, and organs) but I think it would be interesting
The other cub wouldn’t be affected, of course
there isn’t much research at all of this (bc it’s so rare) but maybe an in-game effect is that the other cub has a higher chance of being mutated, or no in-game affect at all to the sibling cub.

Edit:
I said this before in the original posting, for the sake of realism I think this would only happen in cases of 2+ cub litters. So far this condition has only been found in twin pairings. it wouldn’t be an issue to add it to single cub litters though, as plenty of mutations and other aspects of the game go against reality a bit.
After doing a bit more research, there may have been a case of Amorphous Globosus in humans! I cant find an article on it, so I’m not 100% sure that this is real, so please take it with a grain of salt

A couple people suggested having the “cub” as a decor/inventory item when they die. The people i can find that said this (or a similar idea) are Pienut #191227, TheGreatVixen #137519, PunkJesus666 #261737, Mewflakes #88492, Kiwi #137587

D-Chan #249794 suggested that using CRB/lion meat/GMO cow + a GOP would increase the chances of getting this mutation
adding onto this myself: Since the deformity is commonly found in livestock, maybe it could only have a chance of occurring if a GMO is used?

King Crow #64045 suggested the mutation only being able to be breedable on april fools day

ThinkerMouse (he/they) #247874 has suggested that if it doesn’t become a mutation, it could be a breeding item that increases chances of a mutation when eaten (but instead of a lion cub, it would be a cow) similar to lion meat or a GMO cow

Pop-up messages:
"Your lioness notices her [name]... They're not even a cub, are they? It's just a ball of flesh! She's not sure what to do with it."
-London #132548

"(lioness) had a strange birth. What almost seemed like a hairball had come out of the wrong end. It appears to be moving, though weakly."
-- Sol (check online date) #132333

“[Name] calls you over in a panic, gesturing to her new cubs. The first one seems fine and is sleeping peacefully, but the other... Where is it's legs? It doesn't even have a face or a head, but it writhes in pain. Gods, help it...”
-D-chan #249794

gonna end this edit by saying I 100% understand not supporting because the mutation is technically not alive, but saying it is unrealistic or “too disturbing” is a reach, considering the majority of existing lethals are stillborn at birth. and as multiple people below have pointed out, this mutation isn’t any more disturbing than harlequin or cyclopia. I think the birth of a glorbosus cub would be handled as a tragedy the way other lethals are, but in a community sense I like all the jokes people have come up with and I hope we can keep having fun with the idea

If I’ve missed any serious dialogue ideas or have missed crediting somebody please tell me! and if you have any more ideas for it feel free to jot down any!

This suggestion has 564 supports and 145 NO supports.

i love this idea. it would be kind of ... interesting (to say the least) to have as a regular game mechanic though so maybe only breedable during april fools or something?

i don’t know who asked this in chat- but from what i can find they’re called Amorphous Globosus because both words vaguely translate to “something with an undefined/irregular shape” and in the case or glorb babies, they’re rarely 100% round and can be found extremely deformed with limbs, in some cases! also i figured out way too late that it’s “Globosus” and not “glorbosus”

i cant support this, it isnt even a cub? or alive?
sure, its a mutation, but its not alive so i dont see any point of it being a mutation in the game since technically it cant die because it wasnt alive in the first place. all of the lethals are mutations that can be born alive but die later on due to its conditions.

i think this should just be made a custom decor if people want it. theres absolutely no reason as to why this should be a mutation or how it would even work

I think, if anything it could be a funny April fools decor or something like instead of it looking utterly horrifying and gross it could look something like a puffle from Club Penguin !

^^ Tbh. I don't see how Amorphous Globosus is any different from Cyclopia or Harlequin tbh

I agree, people that are not supporting this really be ignoring the other lethals, they're all basically the same thing bruh

Well Cyclopia and Harlequin cubs are alive and sentient, while Amorphous is not. But I don't see the issue with it being "horrifying" or any more distressing than the other two mentioned. After all, it literally looks like a ball of fur. I don't think they'd ever draw a gory one with guts attached.

Wouldn't Amorphous be less disturbing then, considering it's just a bundle of cells that went wrong instead of a living creature that suffered?

^^Exactly. It can't feel pain, it has no thoughts, it has no brain or nervous system, it can't suffer. It's kind of like a tumor.
