She went over to the other cubs and licked both of them on the head. “Yuck! Ronan! What did you roll in?!” She picked up Ronan and brought him farther into the den and began grooming him. “You smell like gazelle poop. Did you roll in that on our way back?”


((The rhino carcass is a bit of a ways off so the cubs wouldn’t be able to smell him yet. And Lyla assumes that he died in the fire.))

"Mom-!" He tried to fight his way out of his mothers grasp unsuccessfully, "Ew-no I would never!" he protested. Vera trotted over, sticking his tongue out, "Hey Rory! Ronan likes rolling in poop! Ewwww" he wrinkled her nose, and Ronan swiped at her, "I do not!" he cried. Vera laughed, before prancing away. Ronan just laid between his mothers paw helplessly

Nikos

Nikos rose her head at the sound of crunching, she was a little confused until a rancid smell came upon her. Her nose wrinkled, the smell was foul and could've rivaled the stench of hyenas. Nikos peered around, up on her perch she had a great view of the surrounding area and easily found the culprit. A rogue lion, a male rogue. Her ears flattened, this was bad.. very bad. Now usually Nikos didn't care if rogues were nearby but this male wasn't friendly at least from how he looks.

He grunted as he stood. He had gotten his full of rhino and it was time to move on. He could still smell the lionesses. Hopefully they wouldn’t be a problem. One scent seemed vaguely familiar, but he couldn’t put his paw on it. Padding on, he made his was to a watering hole and drank. The smell was stronger. And what was that… cubs. Any lioness with cubs would be a problem. They were always so rude.

Nire shrugged. I didn't get much of a chance to figure her out. She seemed pretty weird, I guess. Acting like a male but climbing trees like a leopard. She said as she picked up the meaty shoulder and drug near their stash. She started burying most of it to keep the flies off when she heard the biters waking up. Sitting down it didn't take Rory long to suggest playing, despite the fact his mind was barely awake. We can play after you all eat. I brought an extra special treat for you all. You'll need more than milk to keep up the energy to play outside Nire cooed placing a paw on the mostly buried piece of meat. She then reached down and pulled sizable chunks from the shoulder blade and put them to the side for the cubs to eat. If you want more, you'll have to get it yourselves. Time to learn to use those forming teeth on what they were made for, and not on her.

((Hello and welcome! I just wanted to set the screen for you. Right now Nire, Lyla and her cubs (Ronan, Rory, and Vera) are at their makeshift den. It would be pretty hard to sneak up a tree by them without and of the lions noticing. And if you do want to pop up there, be prepared for a fight. Lyla would come out swinging! There are two other lions (Nikos and Kyran) trying to interact with them by a rhino carcass. Kyran just wandered to a watering hole and Nikos is currently up a tree.))
