Warrior
The young cub went deeper into the desert, sobbing "Mommy?" He called out for his mother but no response came I want to go home! Back to my family! He thought and started crying. His legs were hurting with all this walking and... he was losing hope. He walked for a few minutes before finally sitting down and sobbing quietly. He was scared, what if hyenas found him? He would be dead! More tears rolled down his eyes and he started crying louder.

Covering a fair amount of ground Talen's head jerked up, followed by Nire. It was quiet but the distant rumble of thunder hit their ears. Flicking them Talen drew his lips thin before answering Lyla. Not too much. He started slowly, while Nire looked a bit excited at the clouds way off in the distance. She loved storms, the louder the better. The sun is the biggest danger but there are venomous creatures to watch out for. Also, no hunting allowed. They might be traders but they still won't tolerate others hunting on their lands. You will be able to trade or work for food when we get there. Food was scarce enough in the desert for the pride so they defended their resources strictly.

Arriving at the last water source, Talen walked up to what seemed like a dried up oasis. The ground was crusty and dry, leaving no hint of water. Putting down his bags he walked out to the middle and started digging. It was deep but there was a underground water spring. The water was mineral heavy and was great for health, if tasted terrible. We won't be able to stay over night as expected, not with that storm coming. We won't have to take too much water, as that squall will probably hit us before sundown. They could watch some of the first rain to top up their supply plus, with the sky starting to get covered in clouds, the sun wouldn't be as brutal as usual.

The scent of the rain hit her nose. Finally, it’s been so long since there had been rain in this part. She watched the clouds slowly rolling in and smiled. “Mama, what is that?” The cubs had never seen rain before so Rory was confused. “We’ll darling, like the water in the ponds and rivers we drink, water also comes from the sky. Tefnut has found favor in these lands and blesses us.” The cubs wouldn’t quite understand yet, but she would teach them about the gods of her ancestors slowly. Not every lion believed in the gods, but she believed wholeheartedly.

She smiled and excitedly spoke to Nire, “We are bles-“ she stopped, remembering where they stood. She hoped that the anger Nire held for her would fade over time, but she could tell that she wanted nothing to do with Lyla. The cubs were what mattered her. She smiled at the cubs, “We are blessed to have the rain.”

The cub looked up in the sky, it was raining. He hated water! His feet were tired and he was scared but still he tried to find a place to rest. While searching for a place (and sobbing), he bumped into a maroon cub. He was still crying but tried to stay quiet.

He jumped at something ran into him. “Ahhh!” He ran behind his mother, not even looked to see what it was. Lyla looked over to see the young cub. “What are you doing out of your den so early?” A cub this size would never survive. She looked to Nire, “We have a problem.”

Warrior got scared as he saw the lioness "M..m.." He didn't speak anything else before crying. He was scared. What if the lions ate him? He didn't want to get in some trouble but what if these lions were nice? Maybe they could help him find his pride or possibly keep him forever? He didn't know what to do, should he trust them or... not?

Passing down the water skins to Talen, Nire then looked back at Lyla. I guess. She responded. They were lucky all things considered how hard the drought was, luckier than others anyway. The threatening rumble of the sky drowned out the whimpering of a cub, until it bumped into Ronan and Lyla. Nire stared at it, it was so small. Far too young to be without a nursing mother. Perhaps the drought killed her, or she left it in favor of stronger cubs. It would be best to kill it. Talen said, lifting the full water bags out of the looking at the cub, his face covered in mud. A harsh thing to say, but would be a more merciful way to go than starve, drown in the rain or freeze overnight. Nire snarled at him though.

Jumping from the hole, Talen shook hard throwing sandy mud everywhere. We can take it to the pride. Lyla was mostly done nursing but surely she could at least hold the cub over until they got there. She looked at the cub for a moment before changing her gaze to Lyla while Talen scoffed, tying up the bags.

She smiled at the cub after shooting Talen a scolding looks, “Hey there. What’s your name?” He looked scared so she didn’t expect an answer. She wouldn’t let him die out here. She looked back to the other lions, “His mother might be part of the pride. But why would she have wandered all the way out here to have cubs. The pride might know something.”

Ronan & Vera peeked behind their mother. They never saw another cub besides eachother before. Ronan, being a stubborn cub, showed Warrior his scariest face. "Grrr!" he said. Vera didn't seem too amused

Warrior
The cub seemed to hesitate a bit at first but then finally spoke up "W.. Warrior." He said to the lioness, trying to hide behind Rory from Ronan "My pride is- was on the... savanna plains. I got separated from them during a flood. (Not technically a flood. The nearby lake had overfilled.)" He said to the lions.

Apparently not. Nire said, unsure as to where there had been any flooding nearby, especially recently. The cub had to have only been alone for a day or two with how young it was. The two lionesses seemed to be of like mind on taking the cub to the Sunset pride and all Talen could do was sigh, exasperated. Lionesses... He grumbled, well, one more wouldn't cause him any problems. It would only be more for them to carry. Since you both seem to have made your minds on taking it along, then so be it. Making final adjustments, he gestured to them all to come along and started walking toward the distant sand dunes at a brisk pace. Nire grabbed a bag that Lyla brought and threw it on in haste before grabbing the cub called Warrior in her mouth and trotted after him.

Warrior
Warrior was still a bit confused about these lions, the lionesses seemed so nice and caring but the male... and the cubs, it seemed as if they hated him. He glanced at the cub who growled at him then the male.

Amphy
The lioness walked around the desert in search of prey. Soon she saw a gazelle "Aha!" She said to herself then prepared herself for the run. She couldn't sneak up to the gazelle as there was no grass in the desert. She waited for a while and when the antelope was paying no attention, she ran as fast as she could. The gazelle might be faster but Amphy was a way better runner in the desert, this was her homeland afterall. She pounced on it, making it fall on the ground then she reached its neck and *smack*. The gazelle didn't move, it was dead. Amphy let out a roar, loud enough for the pride to hear.

“Come along cubs, and stop being rude!” She scolded them, but understand that they might be confused. She padded on, following the other lions deeper into the desert. There was no turning back now and they had an extra mouth to feed for now.
