Meadowlark grimaced, but didn't pull away. Jaybug embraced them both for a minute before shaking herself out. "Come. There are many guest treehouses, and Meadowlark? You can stay in the royal chambers with Jaybug. We'll have to fix up a Skywing suite for you." she said. Jaybug took off into the trees, and the rest of the dragons did as well.

Flowfern smiled and leaped around in a circle, "This is exiting! It stinks she likes you better but that's fine I'm pretty much used to it!" She smiled and unfolded her wings, "Common let's get your chambers ready!"

"Your mother has always had a special fondness for me. Oh look, there's the guest treehouses! Everyone snap up a treehouse! Those who can't get one sleep in the hammocks!" Meadowlark called. She burst out into laughter when some dragons whipped around to look at her in horror. "I'm just kidding, there's enough for everyone." she giggled between words.

"Princess Meadowlark, Queen Jaybug wishes to speak to you in the Royal Pavilion." a handsome Rainwing said, bowing as he flew up to her. Meadowlark nodded and motioned for Flowfern to follow her.

Flowfern sighed and followed closely. "Well be there soon." She didn't like going to the Pavillion, why did she come back? No one liked her anyway.

Meadowlark landed on the Pavilion, and Queen Jaybug called for them both to come inside. "Have some fruit while we talk, both of you. I need an update on Queen Robin's plans. She knows by now that both of you evacuated the hybrids and the other tribes from the Sky Kingdom. Meadowlark crushed the mango she ate in her talons. "She wants to kill me and force the other tribes under her rule." she hissed.

"Your not thinking of trying to attack or fight back are you mother? The nightwings would gladly fight but the rainwings even after Gloys rule they won't fight or use there venom like me or you." She explained picking up a dragonfruit and eating it carefully.

Jaybug nodded. "I am fighting for Princess Meadowlark and my tribes. Some Rainwings are scared to use their venom, but most of them would gladly follow Meadowlark into battle. Smokeseer leads the Nightwings. She is very strong and has fought in several battles before. She has already pledged loyalty to Meadowlark. I will lead the Rainwings into battle." she said.

Flowfern nodded, she felt a tad jealous Medowlark got most the fame in her tribe though. "Then I could stay here and watch over the remainder of the tribe sense father's not here to take the place of king." She stated.

"Flowfern... you're a strong dragonet... you should fight, but I respect your descision if you want to stay and guard the tribe." Jaybug said, giving her daughter a loving look.

"I want to fight! I do, but the tribe needs a leader. We can't leave them withought someone to watch over and protect them right? If you guys fail I'll be here with the nightwings to protect the rainforest!" Flowfern smiled brightly. She did want to fight but now wasn't the time.

"Alright, Flowfern. You can stay. Right now, why don't you reconnect with your friends? I need a private word with Meadowlark." Jaybug said. Meadowlark pulled out a gem and placed it in Flowfern's talons. "Keep this with you at all times, Flowfern. It's a gift for your friendship." she said.

Little did Flowfern know, the gem had a loyalty spell on it, designed to make her loyal to Meadowlark and fulfill Jaybug's wishes.

"Oh ok..." she bowed and left flying off to the tops of the Rainforest, "Reconect with friends? Everyone in the dang village practically hates me...aside from Medowlark that is..." she fiddled with the gem makeing it into a bracelet, she hooked it on her wrist. She looked up at the stars spreading her wings and letting them relax.

Meadowlark roared in frustration once she got to her chambers. Why was Robin so intent on disposing of all the heirs to the Skywing throne? What did she have against her? She eventually cracked a mirror, refusing to accept the fact that Robin was queen. "She will wish she wasn't my sister by the time I'm finished with her."
