First off, I would like to thank the developers for listening to our complaints, that you are willing to modify the current events according to what is best for the majority. Problem: The events so far only seemed to affect two major playstyles: Explorers/PVE and Hunters, those whose main income is exploring itself and hunting. Whereas people whose main concern is breeding do not see any of the difficulties. This way, PVE/Hunters are the ones who see the challenge and the difficulties, while the rest only sees the challenge and the fun in it, causing them to be left out. Suggestion: I think events should affect all playstyles. Events should pose a difficulty/boost in explore, hunt, and breeding. OR Event should not affect any of the playstyles in any negative ways. So limiting (no matter how limiting) events should not be implemented. ---------------------------------------------- Main complaints and questions: 1. How would this even work? Breeding usually has nothing to do with explore/hunting/events. I am sure that the developers could think of a way how it should affect breeding in general. Some examples would be -if something negative happens to explore/hunting, like in this event: - All lionesses are counted as 1% fertile, making attempts harder - Lionesses dont come into heat that month, only with the help of a combination of items and higher care - Cubs with lethal mutations would be born way more frequently etc. Please note, that the limits or negative effects would be able to be helped and lifted with uses of items and features. The same way how we can modify our thirst bars with items, Breeding would also be able to be boosted and enabled. With active participation in the event -just like with exploring in our case- one can completely remove all negative effects. If explore/hunting is affected positively, then breeding also should get some kind of boost and help. - More chance for multiple cubs - Fertility booster items - Less energy spent on breeding attempts etc. 2. I am paying GB for breeding/studding! It should not be affected by the events negatively! People pay GB for high statted lions, to skip waiting time, to buy energy boosts, to get quick SB so they can extend the hunts of their lionesses, training their lions. GB is paid everywhere. Not just breeding, yet they are affected by the events. Besides, in this case breeding would be affected positively if explore/hunting also receive good additions. 3. Why do we even need this? We dont need a change. We do. It isnt exactly fair to have only one part of Lioden affected negatively/positively by the events, leaving the rest left out/their progress crippled. Plus, it will finally involve all those players who dont have a idea just how annoying a 'fair' event can be by being in the middle of it. Dont misunderstand me, events are supposed to be challenging, but one playstyle cannot be left out of the events if the rest is affected. ---------------------------------------------- Thank you for reading. |

I do actually support this. But I think there's no need to put any effect on cub stats (I'm not a stat breeder and I don't actively sell my cubs. They're for myself only.) because they're low enough already. Apart from that, I agree that all play styles should be challenging when it comes to events because it's much more fair. However I do have to say that I've not noticed any significant change in my playing during this event so far, though that may be because I'm a casual player and don't aim to get onto the leaderboards in any way. 0 players like this post! A few questions Stats are already affected by the new calculation, so having a 50% inheritance would result in what, 100 - 200 stat cubs on average? If none of my lionesses can breed for the month, what if my old female who was going to have her last heat dies without me able to get any of her offspring? Also, with 1% breeding then people will just try even more for mutations. 0 players like this post! Like? |

These were just random ideas I have as an example, Plague. No need to view them as part of the suggestion. But well, if the developers consider this too, there could be always items/features that help you with cub stats/lioness breeding for the month, just like how items help us to still explore and fight despite the thirst in this month. They all would be the same way fairly affected. So if we can get help in explore, so can people get help for breeding. As for mutations, that would not be the case, since the 1% would not give that month an increased amount of mutations. They would be just waaaay harder to breed with no additional boost to mutation chances. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I definitely support events affecting more aspects of the site, as always. Although, as someone who earns my money hunting/exploring, I've actually benefited a lot from this event. I haven't been too badly hurt by the thirst bar, and am bringing in a lot more money than normal (only because of meat chunks, though.) It is seriously screwing with my side's karma, though. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I love it, gives a more even challenge, I would be concerned about the no-heat as well, but I think lowering fertility levels or even having a longer heat cycle (instead of the current 7 days? I forget, it should be doubled?) it would make it a lot more realistic for these event situations 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support!~ Add challenge to everyone, not jst a few playstlyes~ The only bit I wouldn't like it cubs with lethal mutations would be born way more frequently, since it is meant to be a tragic rarity. You know how the site mourned Chernobyl X3 0 players like this post! Like? |

Support!! As my main income is hunting/exploring and I don't touch the breeding market ever, I can fully vouch for what you stated XD though I agree, lethal mutations shouldn't be more often, that's the only thing I disagree with ^^ 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'm not a 100% against this though. For the small breeders your already adding difficulty on top of difficulty. (Which happens year round.) Stats are random at birth and more then not much lower then the parents. Markings are random with passing and opacity. Coats are random and more then not pass undesirables. Then if you add on top that they don't breed for stats, just looks. Then getting cubs and selling them would be harder. There's are sensitive market for low stat lions that look decent. Most challenge is even get a whiff of a buyer. But as a looks breeder I still feel the pain and woes of this event. I explore to get the beetles currency because I know I want the decor. So keeping my thirst is being in effect. Then I have to feed my pride so I have to hunt. They haven't caught anything since this event began. I had to go buy food / explore to get food. The examples you listed as event faults are a bit harsher then the event currently. I wouldn't all mind this if they weren't so harsh on breeders. There would need to be a balance between the styles though. Though in honesty I feel effected because I can't keep lions alive without hunting / exploring in this current event. If I don't want to spend my en I am forced too participate in it. The possible decor prizes force even breeders to take the time to explore and now hunters can't really catch anything but they can go kill humans in explore. This event kind of funneled us to explore in my opinion. xD 0 players like this post! Like? |

I will repeat: The small ideas I listed below the actual suggestions are just my brainstorming and are NOT part of the suggestion itself. Just gave a few examples. And if they would be considered by the staff, there surely would be items and features that help you avoid the negative effects, just the same way as we have in explore. Despite the thirst bar being modified every 30 mins, we have items in explore that can help us to still fight and go on. There would be surely items as well that help breeders putting everything back to normal, or at least near normal. And there is nothing harsh about them. After all, for us whose main income is NPC fights and hunting, the negative effects of this event are seriously crippling our gameplay and progress. It just doesnt SEEM harsher for those who have different playstyles, that is all. 0 players like this post! Like? Edited on 06/08/14 by Axel (#6627) |

I don't like the idea of items personally. It'll just end up like GB things. xD 1 gb to catch a ncl? that's not fair to the common folk. o.o Hard enough to make en on any walk. (Excluding rare coats and stat people.) But even as breeders we have to dip into your pools anyways to survive. We need hunting to feed lions. We need explore for toys and now food because nothing catching anything. And breeders who level need to fight to get bigger. Though I don't think many fight anymore its all patrolling your sub male or breeding him perfect. Those guys aren't effect by this event. I've personally stopped leveling my male as it does nothing or effect nothing. It however allows me more energy to explore and gain what ever beetle currency is floating about the month. Even if you rely on fighting as income I've made over 1k in short period just by playing the right non fight events over and over. And I was referring to the ones listed as being harsher. Though people income for hunting can just explore, I got over 20 carcasses from killing people. If anything there market is over populating and if only being harm because of influx of medium meat. As for the leveling and income for npc fighting, you still have money events and I suppose its adding a twist for the month. Breaking the monotone of just spamming swipe on each character. Level doesn't really effect anything. XD 0 players like this post! Like? |

Items would be tied to the event. if you can find items at explore to quench your thirst, then you probably will be able to find/buy from the event shop something that helps you negate the effects on breeding if it is something negative. Again: The listed examples SEEM harsher, because breeding was never affected by events. See it this way: I want to level/stat my lion, gain impression and get money from NPC fights as well, seeing it is my main income. But this event, I cannot fight NPCs without using items and features. Same would go to breeders. They would be negatively affected, like unable to breed, but there would be items they can find/buy in the event shops that will help them out. There is no difference. Both of us has our main income, but we can get extra from other activities in this event. But our main income is crippled until we completely join the event. And that levels/stats have no uses at the moment, is sadly not a valid argument. They can gain uses later in the future. Perhaps after the next events they will, and by that time every playstyle will be affected. 0 players like this post! Like? |
