I highly doubt you have any milk to feed it. And if you do, I think we might have a problem on our hands." She teased softly, as she licked him again. "And, if you want another lioness, don't feel obligated to stay with me just because I like you. You're king. I'm... Well me. I don't expect you to be satisfied." She pointed out. "And I wouldn't say putty in your paws. More like... Slightly cuddled into your fur." She purred softly when she was licked, nuzzling him again.

Apollo looked down at the cub. 'It's not the same' he thought inwardly. "Very funny" he chuckled softly, nuzzling her in return. "I will not be tempted by any other ladies. Your all I need" he whispered in her ear, smiling warmly. "Besides, I'd be quite upset if you fell for someone else" he said, giving his chest fur a couple of embarrassed licks. "Your more like, barely visible in my mane right now" he laughed, licking Corintha's neck. "Didn't I tell you to get your wounds treated? I don't want you to get sick!" he growled, licking her nose with concern. "Please, get your injuries treated. For me" he said, licking her scratched up back.

"Fine, if you look after Nagato for me while I go to the elders, I'll get the wounds treated. This is a test." She grinned softly as she nuzzled him, licking his fur gently as she purred slightly. "So, do good and make sure to bring him to me if he gets hungry, got it big guy?" She asked, pawing his nose playfully.

Apollo nodded in exasperation. "Yes yes yes. Okay, go" he laughed, nosing her rump out of the den. He then turned around and watched Nagato play with his own paws. 'So carefree. So innocent. Yet my bloodline shows that my father killed them all' he thought guiltily. More nightmare would come tonight, for sure. The recent one was his father telling him to kill Corintha. Shaking his head to clear his thoughts, Apollo entertained Nagato with his tail.

Nagato bounced on his tail cutely, and bit it happily with his sharp cub teeth, pulling on it happily. He was very cute, and had simular markings to Corintha, as strange as it seemed. He pulled on his big brother's tail, wanting to drag him around, even though Apollo was much bigger than he was.

Corintha sat in the elders den, letting one of the female elders treat her wounds, expecting to be questioned because of the glances she was getting from some of the elders, though she wasn't completely sure what the questions would concern.

Apollo lifted his tail up and down, taking the small cub with it. "Your going to be big & strong someday" he chuckled as the sharp teeth drove into his skin. He was batting the cub as gently as he could when Harlequin barged in. "Sire, can I talk to you?" Harlequin asked, trying to flush her scent towards Apollo. Apollo shrugged. "Can it wait? I'm watching Nagato here while Corintha gets her injuries treated" Apollo said. Harelquin nodded, her deadly claws digging into the soft earth. "Okay. Sun Set by the water hole" Harlequin said. Before Apollo could object, the lioness raced out of the den. 'Oh no' he thought grimly.

Corintha got her wounds treated and was up, walking off towards her den, back where Apollo was, and nuzzled him when she got there, smiling. Though when she smelled Harequin's scent all over the den, she frowned quietly. She didn't smell his spray, though... So she trusted he hadn't mated the lioness. "What was Harequin doing here?" She asked lightly, as she looked at him, nuzzling him. She tried not to sound untrusting, but she was worried. That lioness had jealousy problems.

Apollo pressed his nose to her's. "Um..well.." he started. "She wanted to 'talk' to me. I told her no because I was watching Nagato and she said to meet her at the watering hole at sun set" he explained. "I hope you know that whatever she tries isn't going to work. That herb helps a lot" Apollo said, watching Nagato greet his mother with happy squeaks.

"I know. But what if she approaches you when the herbs wore off, can you restrain yourself then?" She asked quietly as she looked away from him. That's what she was worried about, that he would go for the lioness. Lose control.

Apollo winced. "I'll try my hardest" he assured her. But he knew his hardest might not be enough. The sun was going down, which put Apollo on edge. "I just won't go. There" he said. He was highly offended by the distrust that Corintha put on him. Apollo stalked out of the den and strode away, heading towards the elders den. He disappeared, but his icy eyes shone in the darkness as he spoke softly with the old lionesses.

Corintha walked after him, Nagato in her mouth, and was quiet as she walked towards Apollo. "No." She whispered, bowing her head, feeling the hint of anger. "No, please go. Do whatever it is you need to do. Don't let me stop you, my king." She whispered. "I... I trust you." She whispered, nosing him towards the water hole. "Go." She whispered softly, nuzzling him gently, her ears folding in submission.

Apollo didn't like the way she gave in so quickly. "I'm not going" he told her. He turned and nodded to the elders. "Thank you for your time" he said politely, bowing his head. He walked briskly to the fresh-kill pile where the lionesses were eating a zebra. Natalya, Riso, and Leaf lifted their heads when the king approached. "Good evening, sire" Riso said, smiling towards the new king. "Mind if I have some?" Apollo asked Leaf. "Of course" Natalya said, scootching over to let Apollo eat.

Corintha was quiet as she aproached him again. "Go." She whispered beggingly, her ears still tucked. She grabbed his ears, tugging slightly on one of them, Nagato on her back. "Please." She whispered, shaking quietly, "I didn't mean to sound like I didn't trust you. I do... It's her I don't trust. I don't want her to hurt you." She whispered, her head falling. "Jealousy is a bad emotion. It might cause her to snap and attack you, or Nagato, or me, or someone you care about. I just.... Go. Go before she gets madder." She begged quietly.

Apollo sighed. "I'm sorry" he whispered, licking her ear. The lion trotted out of camp, walking towards the watering hole. Harlequin was waiting. The herbs were wearing off and Apollo was aware of her extremely tempting smell. "What do you want?" Apollo growled when he was in hearing range. "You know what I want. And if you don't give it me, I will murder both Corintha and Nagato" Harlequin growled in a seducive way. "I can exile you" Apollo hissed. "And I will still kill them" Harlequin snarled. Apollo flattened his ears, fearing the worst for the cub & Corintha. "Fine, hurry up so we can this over with" was his last words before ::fade::
