Mohatu

I saw Ahadi, being hugged by Uru. I was proud of him, for straying to rescue my youngest daughter. I was still wondering what had drove Nikumu to do this to my family, I thought she was Uru best friend. Sekai was pacing the water's edge, searching frantically for Banira, who hadn't surfaced yet. The rest of the pride were looking after the or he cubs, back at priderock, it was only, myself, Sekai, Hono, Kaze, and Rei with Ahadi, Uru and Dean.

"You okay Ahadi." I asked Ahadi, while walking towards the water's edge.
I turned to Dean. "Make sure you don't let her go Dean, I'm counting on you right now" I ordered.

I stood by Sekai, who was still fighting the others.

Banira

I hate water, its so cold.
I tried my hardest but would keep a float, I can't even swim yet.
I'm so scared.
I reached the surface and screamed out, "MUMMY, DADDY SOMEBODY HELP!!"
This time I heard my daddy roar to me. "HOLD ON BANIRA, IM COMING TO GET YOU!"
I could see him, but heard the splashes, before going under again.

Mohatu
I couldn't just stay at the waters edge. After hearing her cry out for help. I knew what to do.
I nuzzled Sekai, telling her not to worry, I looked over at Uru, telling her to keep Ahadi warm.
With one powerful leap I entered the freezing cold water.

Ahadi

I laid down staying close to Uru and closed my eyes for a little while. I wasn't sure what to do at the moment wondering what was going to happen, I knew I was about Banira's age if not a few days older then her. Dean watched while keeping a hold of Nikumu's, he had no idea that he would some day fall for this lioness.

Mohatu

I swam to where we had heard Banira cry out from, but she wasn't here. I realized that she was under the water. I drove down and sure enough I grabbed a slowing sinking Banira. On grabbing the scruff for her neck and dragged her to the surface.

Sekai

I was still waiting for Mohatu to reach the surface. I went to stand near Uru and Ahadi, Uru was hugging him to keep him warm as the water was cold. I gave Ahadi a quick once over to see if he was hurt, I found that he was asleep.
I heard a commotion in the water, I rushed over to see better.
At that moment, Mohatu breached the surface with a spluttering Banira.
Relief washed over me in waves. I watched my mate swim to the water's edge. He gave me Banira, who had started crying. I placed her on the ground, bushing her, while giving her the once over, thankfully she was unharmed. What she said next made me laugh, "mummy I really hate water." I laughed and nuzzled her, before nuzzling Mohatu.

Nikumu

I looked all around me, Dean was still on me holding me in place. I heard heavy paws walking towards me.

Dean

I wondered what was going to happen now since things seemed almost strange, I hoped that she'd pay for what she did however I could only hope that things would be ok. I looked at Nikumu wondering why she had done this.

Mohatu walked over to where Nikumu was being held down. Hono had a feeling what was going to happen to one of her daughter's. Even though she was furious will her, at the end of the day, Nikumu was still her daughter.

Taking a risky move, Hono stepped in the way of Mohatu making him stop. Hono looked up, to be stared down upon with eyes of ice, which told Hono not to interfere. Hono looked on in dismay.

Mohatu walked over to Dean and gave him a reassured look. "Dean get off her please." Mohatu ordered.

Dean

I nodded before moving away from her, I didn't understand why she had tried to hurt Uru's little sister and I guessed she'd been the one who tried to kill Uru. i growled at her in anger for what she had done.

Nikumu

Now I was done for. I felt Dean's weight come of me. I heard an angry growl come from his lips. Rolling over, I went o place my paws on the ground to get up, went I heard a threatening growl. I knew that growl, I looked up to see King Mohatu above me.


Mohatu walked over to the traitor. He couldn't believe that she thinks that she has the right to stand in his presence, then she is very wrong. Just as Nikumu was getting up, Mohatu gave a threatening growl, the scared cub soon laid down on the ground.

"Nikumu for what you have done, is considered the worst crime by far in the history of this pride!" He boomed in a dignified voice, his eyes not leaving Nikumu. When the cub didn't say anything, the king continued. "First you push Uru in the deep part of the waterhole, almost killing her and now, threatening and nearly killing my youngest daughter!"
The whole pride was shocked on hearing this. Nikumu's sister's started crying and looked down in shame.
Mohatu continued with the trial as it were.
"Nikumu do you have anything to say for yourself, before your punishment is given to you." Mohatu inquired.

For the first time Nikumu looked up. "I regret nothing for my actions. I just want to say that," she turned to Dean. "I love you Dean from the deepest part of my heart, and I hope you will forgive me someday."

"If that is all you have to say. I, King Mohatu of the Pridelands, here by banish you from my lands, never to return."

"NO!!" Hono cried, running in front of Nikumu, just as Rei was advancing on her. Hono swung out a clawed paw, slashing Rei on the neck.

Dean

I backed away when seeing what Hono had done to Rei, I had no idea what to do mostly because there wasn't anything thing that I could do. I stayed back thinking it was best that I'd get Uru and her sister back home where it was safe. I came over to her "We should get you and your sister home safe" I said to Uru, I wanted to keep her safe.

Uru

I didn't know why Hono would do that to Rei, to be honest I didn't want to watch. The scene turned into nothing but total chaos. Hono and Rei were fighting, the noise was so loud. My father was trying to stop the fighting, while my tried talking to the other lionesses trying to stop the attacking Hono.

I had Banira huddling close to my hugging my legs, shivering. I saw Dean coming towards me.
"We should get Banira home." He said. I was all to to agree. Before picking up Banira, I said.
"What about Ahadi?"

Dean

"One of the lionesses can bring him" I said to her, I didn't really want to have him near us however I wouldn't show that I hated him so that I wouldn't be kicked out of the pride.

Uru didn't know what to do, she wanted to get home with Banira, it she didn't want to leave Ahadi alone either.
"Why can't you just carry him Dean?" Uru asked, before picking Banira up by the scruff. She had know idea, that Dean hated Ahadi.

Meanwhile Hono had been pinned down by Rei, who had many injuries, but nothing serious and would heal on their own.
Mohatu had had enough of this.

"Hono what is your reason to stop Rei from chasing out this outsider!" He thundered at Hono.
Hono couldn't believe what she was hearing. "She is no outsider she his my daughter!" She screamed getting in Mohatu's face.
"SHE DOES NOT BELONG HERE ANYMORE. SHE IS NOT ONE OF US." He roared at Hono.
"But she is my daughter, please reconsider, sire I beg off you." Hono was begging Mohatu with tears streaming down here cheeks.
"I'm sorry Hono, but my decision is final. Nikumu has to leave by the time the sun rises. If not then she will be treated as an outsider and shown no mercy." Mohatu declared.

Hono couldn't help herself, her head was not thinking when you yelled at the King.
"OH I GET IT, BECAUSE NIKUMU IS NOT ONE OF YOUR CUBS, SHE CANT STAY HERE. WELL WHAT ABOUT, MY OTHER CUBS, HUH. WHAT ABOUT HIKARI, KAWAII AND ONGAKU DO THEY HAVE TO LEAVE TOO!!!"
"Hono that is not the problem, the fact of the matter is that Nikumu is a threat to Uru and Banira. You and your other cubs are welcome to stay as long as you like, but Nikumu has to leave. Now!" Mohatu was furious at this outrageous lioness.

"THE GREAT MOHATU TURNS OUT TO BE NOTHING BUT A TYRANT!" Hono yells.
"That is enough Hono." Sekai said appalled at her friends behaviour.

Without another word, Hono picked up Nikumu and just walked away. Not even taking a second glance at Hikari, Kawaii or Ongaku. The 3 cubs started crying and calling after there mother. The only reply that come to them was, "I'm not your mother anymore, you are orphans and dead to me."

Uru was watching the whole scene and she was angry at the fearlessness of Hono. She walked over to the 3 sisters. "Come on lets go home."

Mohatu also told the whole pride to go home. But before he left he ordered, Umi, Hokori, Rei who said she was find to walk and Arekusa, to make sure Hono left the Pridelands.

Dean

I didn't bother picking Ahadi up mostly because I didn't want to nor did I know how to so I'd just let one of the lionesses pick him up. I followed after Uru not wanting to listen to what was going on, I never could understand why that lioness was crazy since I had always been wondering when she'd snap. I hoped that things would be ok however I could only wonder if that would be the case. Ahadi was still asleep not really doing much.

Looking back Uru saw her mother pick up a sleeping Ahadi. On the journey back to Priderock, Ahadi had fallen asleep. She kept asking why Hono had gone crazy, she couldn't understand any of this. Why had Nikumu hated her so much and want her and Banira dead?

Uru knew that Dean was behind her, she stopped and waited until she was by his side.
"Dean thank you for tonight." I gave him a small smile and a quick nuzzle.

Dean

I blushed a little feeling my heart sore at that moment and I smiled happily at her wondering how I could use this to my advantage. I sighed happily before going to lay down. It had been a long day and it had been very tiring. I hoped that Uru would lay next to me so that I could try and make her mine.

Uru
Everyone had already played down for the night. Seeing Dean blush, made me giggle. I returned his smile, feeling gratitude.

I let out a loud yawn, gosh just was tired, I just wished this day was over and forgotten, I watched Dean go and lay down. I was thinking to myself, "Maybe Dean is not so bad, I mean her didn't have to save me from the waterhole, or help save my sister." I looked over at Ahadi. I smiled.
I didn't care where I slept at this moment, I was too tired to care. I went to lay down next to Dean, snuggling into his side.
