Loweredskye- Oakley ll gazed at his younger brother in surprise. Why would Atlas want to be king? His brother continued, "I'll fight for the throne if I have too!" Oakley blinked. Atlas had always been the kind, gentle type, he had never gotten into a fight since he was a cub. "Dad wanted me to be king," replied Oakley patiently. "You know that." The last thing Oakley wanted was to have to fight his brother. They hadn't always been close, but they'd never fought. Atlas didn't seem to hear him. He crouched, eyeing the razor named lion angrily. Manage fluttered in his eyes, and it became clear he would fight if he had too. Oakley took a deep breath and crouched as well, claws automatically sliding out from his paws. He flicked his tail and waited for his brother too come at him. He was certain he could beat him, Atlas had never won in their adolescent scuffles before. But he was being fueled by power and jelousy, so he would have to be careful. Out of nowhere, the younger lion leapt at Oakley, who narrowly avoided it. Then he turned and attacked his younger brother. Teeth closed on flesh, and Atlas howled in pain. Oakley took a deep breath, then attacked again, swiping out with his claws. Atlas leaped, grabbing Oakley's throat in his jaws. Oakley twisted and leaned forward to get his brother off him. His breaths were shorter, his brother's death grip was working. With a final move, the young challenger fell to the ground. Realizing his brother was more powerful, Atlas backed up, pleading desperately. Bleeding from several wounds, Oakley cast him one final glance, then decided. Atlas wouldn't be a threat anymore. He would let his brother live. Ignoring the impressed glances of the many lionesses, he walked to the top of a large rock, then belted out a large, ground shaking roar. Oakley was the undefeated king.

@Jade- Dark Moon prowled the outside of the territory, searching for prey. There. A young gazelle, it's mother was standing guard next to it, careful of danger. Didn't matter. Nothing could take her down. She crept slowly up to it, not making a sound in the tall grass. She leapt through the air, claws unsheathed. After tusseling with the beast for a few moment, she brought it down, then turned around and finished off the baby. Then she turned around and began to drag them both back to camp. "Hey Darky!" Came a voice from not far off. Dark Moon felt herself smiling. "Hi Tau!" She replied, grabbing one of the doe's ears. He leapt out of a shadow, eyes flashing mischievously. He walked up to the gazelle and frowned. "I'll help you with that!" He was quick to say. He grabbed the baby around the middle and began to carry it away. "If you were a gentleman you would take the adult instead of making a lady take it," noted a haughty voice. Burntstar walked up to her. "Let me take that, m'lady," he said. Dark Moon gritted her teeth in anger. He was annoying. "I'm just fine," she replied, none to happily. Burntstar frowned, hurt, and stalked away, head held high. "Hi!" Came a cheery voice as Darkstripe walked over to her and Tau. Dark Moon smiled at him, aware of the jelous glance Tau sent his way. Calm down, she thought. We're just friends, unlike her and Tau. Things were getting hard, as she was to pick one if the three makes as a mate soon. Actually, her father wanted her to pick either Burntstar or Darkstripe, but Dark Moin had made it quite clear that she wanted Tau. She met his eyes and gave him a secret smile. He winked back. She knew who she would choose.

Aronia Mountain gazed around her new home. She was seven years old and had just been purchased from the trading center, and was already living Brilly's pride. She glanced up as the shadow of a magnificent lion towered over her. Her breath caught. Those eyes. They were sparkling with kindness and maybe even something else. Love? She stood up and blushed slightly. "Hey," he said easily. "I'm Dogo. May I ask who this fine lady is?" "I-I'm Aronia Mountain," she stammered shyly, not meeting his eyes. Her first few minutes in Brilly's pride, and she'd fallen in love.

That was seven years ago, and now Dogo was by her side as she staggered to a comfortable den and flopped down, breathing hard. Dogo stood over her, watching her worriedly. She gave him a tired smile, then whispered, "get Carl." He nodded solemnly, then left, only to have Carl rush in a few minutes later. Aronia Mountain gazed at her daughter with eyes full of love. "I beleive I'm dying," she began. Carl's eyes filled with tears, but she blinked them away. "I have a favor for you," she continued. Carl nodded, and her heart went out to her. She was so young... "I want you to take care of your father and the rest of the pride." Carl nodded again, blinking rapidly. "I will," she managed, voice cracking. Unable to bear it anymore, she turned and left. Aronia Mountain smiled. She would do well.

@do I know you- Lovely narrowed his eyes at HourGlass. Just because he was the king didn't mean he could boss him around like that. He glared at the magnificent lion, then turned to the zebra carcass beside him. He forced some meat into his mouth and chewed the meat. It was good, but he was so mad he couldn't even taste it. He gritted his teeth in anger. There was only one option. He would overthrow HourGlass. Taking a deep breath, he stalked over to the king, hate brimming in his eyes. HouGlass looked him up and down, then said, "umm, can I help you, Lovely?" He asked. Lovely snarled at him, then leapt at him without warning. He barely had time to register the look of surpruse on HourGlass's face before he attacked again, swiping his claws across his face. HourGlass jumped at him, all shock gone, replaced by boiling fury. Lovely just smirked, dodging to the side just in time. Teeth closed around HourGlass's leg and clamped down hard, causing the lion to roar in pain. Crippled, he backed away, but Lovely attacked again. HourGlass dodged to the side, but he was too late. The younger lion pressed his claws against his throat, threatening him. "All right!" Gasped HourGlass. "You win!" Satisfied, Lovely stepped back, then without looking at the former King, walked regally up the hill to his territory. HIS territory. He had never thought that would happen, but now it had. Proudly, he surveyed the kingdom. His kingdom.
