Midsummer Dream- Future Star settled in beside the freshly killed rhino carcass. She folded her brown paws elegantly beneath her and started to chew the tender meat. After a few bites, she felt someone come up and sit next to her. Star blushed. She knew exactly who this was. "Hi," came Lord of the Demons' voice. "Do you mind if I join you?" He asked. Future Star shook her head. She would live him there. After a few minutes of awkward silence, Lird if the Demons says, "so how's your day?" She shrugged, not dating to say anything. The sun had begun to set, turning the Snow White patches on her back to our gold. "Was your hunt successful?" Another nod. "Looks like it's going to be a fine evening," he noted, staring at the cloudless sunset. She would have to say something, "yes," she managed. She felt, rather than saw, his smile. The two ate in silence for a little longer. Finally Lord of the Demons pushed himself too his feet, beckoning for her to follow suit. "I'm going to show you something." She nodded dumbly and followed him in a seemingly random direction. The setting sun spilled the last of its light, and slowly the moon began to climb the sky. After a bit of walking, the two reached a violently rushing river that poured from a thundering waterfall. The make lion beckoned her on, mist bringing out the sparkle in his eyes. Future Star followed him as they ducked behind the waterfall, then gazed around the small, den like enclosure. A solid walk of water cascaded in front of her, a sparkling curtain. Lord of Demons walked up and say beside her, tentatively wrapping his tail around hers. Future Star flinched but didn't pull away. Instead, she cautiously rested her head on his shoulder. There they stayed, gazing at the night sky.

@Kandice- Darken Shadow sat by King Michael as the old lion breathed his last. Darken knew he was next in line as king, but the former king had been kind, and he didn't know if he would be any good. Michael gazed at him, then closed his eyes. His breathing slowed, and then came the moment Darken Shadow had been dreading- The breathing stopped. Darken Shadow walked out of the den, ready to break the news to the others. After Darken's coronation as king, he walked slowly to a bare patch, where the stars gazed brilliantly down on the savannah. His childhood friend , walked up to him. "Are you ready to be king?" She asked hesitantly. He shrugged. Was he? He didn't know. "Tomorrow you can prove yourself," she continued. He nodded. By organizing hunts and whatever else a king was supposed to do, he would find out if the pride supported him or not. His pride.

The next morning dawned bright and clear, with not a cloud in the sky. For the pride, everything was chaos. The lionesses weren't organized for a hunt, therefore no prey was brought back. A sub male hadn't been sent patrolling with backup, so he came back covered in slashes due to a rogue lion's sharp claws. In the evening a meeting was held. "We should leave!" Came a voice from the back of the crowd. Replied of 'yeah!' And, 'we'll be better off on our own!' Echoed through the silent evening. Darken wouldn't blame them if they did. They would be better off without him. Suddenly the sound of vicious roars echoed through the night. A band if rogue lions leapt into their midst, swiping at any lions their sharp claws could reach. Terrified cubs cowered behind their mothers, who valiantly tried to fight back. This wouldn't work. They were too unorganized. Standing on a rock do everyone could hear him, Darken Shadow called, "lionesses, make a circle around the cubs! Males, make a circle around them!" Everyone complied, and soon the battle was won. The rogue lions fled, allowing cubs to reunite with their mothers. Everyone looked at King Darken Shadiw, and their eyes were filled with trust. Darken Shadow's chest swelled proudly. He really would make a good king.
