@MourningLily, No I'm good. Thank you so much.....

Now to try and save up so I can breed one of my Feline females to some of the hot studs of the clan.

Okay so it seems that maybe passing on Ice marks/mane/base isn't as low as I first thought it was, LOL. I sent a couple of my girls out to studs and one already gave birth to one cubs with an Ice Mane and a another cub with a Slate Base. Which is nice but it would've been better if it was an Ice Mane on a Slate Base instead of two different cubs so I could start working on my dream king. (Weeps.)

At least it seems like it's not too terrible to achieve. And I've found some studs with Ice Crackle in Slot 8. I just need my Slate girls to go into heat and hope for the best. orz

I'm actually not very surprised and I could've told ya that (had a friend who had an ice marking earlier on and like half her cubs had it, just like any other marking). The base is probably same as any other base where at least one parent needs to be that color to pass it. So, a bit rare, but if a lot of ice lions are running around it shouldn't be too bad.

(One of my traditional studdings today results in a quad cel triple ice, haha.)

Pffft, you could've but.~ With the hype and rarity of it all, I was expecting it to be harder, LOL. Like around the Unholy rarity? Or something like that. Not too sure because I stay away from non-Black bases. Dang though! That luck, ahah. I hope my girl gives me something like that. Or at least Ice Crackle and the Ice mane... Orz

Oh well, even if it all fails, I'll probably get the mane applicator and marking applicator by the end of the day so it's not too bad if I don't get a Slate-Base-Ice-Mane baby before my King gets too old.

Well, it's only really rare because stink bugs were so stupidly hard to get. The base itself will probably pass on at a slower rate, yeah, but applicator markings (aside from like, the breed-only rosettes and stuff) tend to pass on at a normal rate usually. And manes seem to basically be 50/50 so shouldn't be rare at all.

I just checked your king and he has like, 41+ days until retirement and I'm positive you can get a slate/ice in that time period. C:

And thank god for that, LOL. Can you imagine if they were rare like Lilac or Ebony or worse? Oh man, the market would be more suffering than it already is! (At the people who were lucky could've made even more bank.) I've never really looked up the percentages or the rates because I don't really do breeding projects. So thanks for that information.

Oh, really? That makes me sigh in relief. I forgot what the cut-off age was for kings. Fifteen, right? So yeah, I still do have a lot of time before I've really gotta worry about replacing him.

Ebony is actually not that rare. You can breed one just by having an onyx around. It just happens to be popular, haha. (Slate's the same way - breed-only if you have the right base genetics.) Lilac on the other hand, you need one of the parents to be a lilac, which is why it's rarer.

And yeah. You can retire him without a fee at 15 years old I think? And then you have until 16 years old, when you have to retire him. So I think I may have miscounted and you have even more than 40 days, I'm bad with math. :p

Ohh, is that so? My side's a Slate so Slates are common for me but I haven't really gotten Ebonies or Onyxes past the one Ebony I gave my sister. I don't really care for Lilac bases but I like the mane and some of the markings but a lot of my clansmen in LL have little luck with getting a Lilac even with their Lilac girls/studs. Dx

And really? That's still a long time so it's all good! Thanks. :D

Silvain's boy threw a few ebonies with my Onyx ladies and he's a celestial, sold all but one because they just popped up without me trying even ;p

Yeah, to-date with my onyx stud I've had 12 onyx cubs and 9 ebony ones (and 8 slates). Now that I'm in a different genetics group I imagine that the number of slates he throws will increases (because ice is in the same group as slate). Even then he can have ebonies if he breeds with an onyx, ebony, or anything that has a dark solid genetics type.

Woo! I finally gave my male a makeover! I couldnt afford the ice base but after some messing around I came to the conclusion that giving him a hallowed base with an ice mane and marking would yield better results. Super happy with the marking I got too :D

Wow yeah the Ice does look exceptional with the hallowed, Anubis. I'm not normally a fan of hallowed, but I think you finally found a marking color that works well with it :D

Im not a fan of hallowed either but I got it randomly from the watering hole last month. Ive been sitting on it since unsure what to do with it until now. I think it's because it acts like a cream underbelly. I was also very lucky I got ice glaze rather than undershine as it would make him look bad and the glaze is the best marking for hallowed imo.
