Kerrin smiled softly as Coquin fell asleep, whispering, "Goodbye, beautiful," before standing and exiting. He gingerly leaped down the crystals and paced toward the entrance he'd come in, picking up the amber gem on his way out. He let out a long howl, one that he would use to mark his territory, a disguise that would make it seem as if the female had left.

Coquin stirred as the male left and his howl sounded but succumbed to sleep moments later. Her amber eyes hiding behind white lids. -short interactions done-

Aela lay in the nest Soren had made for her in their little oasis, her breaths coming fast and light. Her labour had started that morning and she'd feigned going out on an easy patrol with Nova and Pyre in order to sneak out. Nova currently sat guard outside.

Soren | Royal Guard SR

Soren padded towards the oasis, worriedly trying ro figure out if he was early, or too late...or if Aela's family even knew who he was yet. His thougjts drove him into a run and his dark russet form streaked across the plains. At first glance he could see a darker spot in the trees, and knew someone was on guard. He halted a few feet in front of Nova and gave a crookes smile of greeting "Hi, you must be Nova. I havent really spoken to the new beta of Duskfall much." He nodded to him and glanced around him, worry etched on his face "So uh..." he shifted his paws, glancing at the older brute then around to the den. Nova was larger than Soren, Soren being large - but Nova being larger.

Pyre | Noble DF

Pyre sat beside her sister, stroking her gently with her tail and feeling her stomach, going through Fern's many lessons in labor and female pregnancy. She was still awestruck by the place, Aela had been too busy to explain herself and had just nudged her awake, saying that they had to leave. Pyre had half supported, half guided Aela here, Aela nodding towards the directions and such. She flickes her tail in awkwardness. Who was the dad? Was he coming? Had they decided beforehand to have the pups here? A sunrise wolf??..

Nova gazed at Soren in mild surprise. So he was the father? A huff of laughter escaped him. Trust Aela to fall for a renowned womanizer. "Go on in," he said to the younger wolf with a nod of his head towards the entrance. "I'll keep an eye out here."

Aela whimpered as a bolt of pain shot through her belly, and her squeezed her eyes shut. A shudder ran down her flank.

Soren gave a small smile in gratitude and slipped in, ignoring an equally surprised huff from Pyre, tucked against her sister's belly. At Aela's whimper he tucked himseld behind her, curling around her slender form with a gentle lick. He put his head over her neck, not putting pressure down so she wasnt uncomfortable. "Hi there, I'm right here." He murmured, closing his eyes and gently rasping his tongue along her cheek comfortingly.

Aela leaned into Soren, all of her muscles seeming to release their tension at his touch. "Thank the ancients" she moaned as another wave of pain rippled through her. She forced her eyes opened and smirked through the pain "Pyre meet *pant* Soren. He's the father...if you hadn't guessed." (fade when ya want :D)

Pyre let her gaze travel up and down the male, her ears flicking anticlimactically. "I guessed. Not bad on the looks Aela, but really? This playboy?" She sighed and ran her paws ovee Aela's side "Alright. Any moment now." Soren gave a small grin "Nah. Those rumours are a little exaggerated. I liked to tease and one of my teases became more than that to me." He licked Aela's ear and curled into her "Im right here.."

*fade*

Soren glanced at the little bundles fondly, noticing two russet pelts among the bunch worriedly, and glanced at Pyre's light russet pelt "Can you claim them as sporting your pelt?" He murmured quietly, looking at Aela worriedly.

Aela nuzzled Soren, trying to ease his worries. "We'll take care of it," she murmured and lovingly licked each pup. They looked similar to Pyre and any darker marks could be attributed to Nova. The golden fae gazed at Soren with a smile. "Would you like to name your son?"

Soren smiled and returned her nuzzle "What abour Noris? It sounds a bit like backwards soren, so you wont get lonely without me there." He rested his head on Aela before reaching forward and licking his son, who squeaked in response and searched for the unknown source of affection. Soren looked at the girl and leaned forward, licking her ear. "They're beautiful, Aela." He nuzzled her and smiled gently.

Aela | Scout | DF | Talks to Pyre and Soren
"Pff!" Aela couldn't help but laugh. She liked the name, but thought it was certainly very soren-like to use that reasoning. "Ah, and just when I thought I could escape from you," she teased him with a playful gaze, though really her heart was growing warmer at the thought. "They'll grow up to be the best looking wolves in all the packs, marks my words!" One of the pups- the female- squeaked loudly and nestled closer into her pale tawny fur, and Aela felt love bloom inside her like a flower, both for little Noris and the she-wolf. "Her name will be Sianna. My father always told me stories about Sianna the warrior wolf, and I always liked the name." She grinned at Pyre. "Remember, sister? Cato would even act out the parts like he was putting on a show for us."

Pyre chuckled and nodded "Mother always told him to stop being so dramatic and Otac would fall asleep in the middle of them, every single time." She hummed in wistfulness.

Soren smiled "I think they are wonderful names, for amazing little pups." He grinned at her response to the pup's name and pressed his nose to her chin affectionately.

Nova | DF Beta

Nova quietly approached the small family, his green eyes nervous and his ears low. He wasn't sure if Aela would want him so close to her newborn pups when he wasn't related. But his worries were soon washed away when she beckoned him closer with her tail. The large male moved closer and gazed down at the little red pups with fascination. They had Pyre's pelt, he noticed with a spark of amusement. No doubt she loved that. He met Aela's gaze and said "Congratulations, they're really something." Aela agreed warmly and nuzzled them again. Nova cleared his throat, not wanting the be the one to break up the sunny mood. "But we should be getting them back to the pack before anyone grows suspicious. We've been on 'patrol' for most of the day"

(Wouldnt they have Soren's pelt? XD Well Noris at least has soren's exact pelt xD)

Soren frowned in sadness, and gazed longingly at the pups. He reached forward and pressed his nose to each of their muzzles, so theyd get a good whiff of him. He murmured to both of them one at a time "Your father will always love you. Be good to your mother and Nova, he's doing all of us such a huge favor, and while Ill always be your father, he will be your dad - the one that comforts you after a bad dream and makes sure you have great mentors, makes sure you feel alright, everything." He turned to Nova and smiled warmly at him "Please take care of my family, i owe you everything i have." He dipped his head lowly to the other male, and turned to Pyre "Please help watch over my family, as well." He dipped his head a bit again to her, before lowering his head to Aela and pressing his forehead to hers "I love you. I will always watch over you best i can. Take care of our pups, alright?" He smiled sadly at Aela, sorrow in his warm eyes.

(Oh, does he? I thought they were based off Pyre. Sianna is at least XD Maybe as newborns they have more her colour than his. THIS IS SO SAD WAHHH)

Aela felt hot tears fill her eyes and she blinked them away with frustration. Things had never meant to get this far but now they had and there was nothing they could do about it. At least she had their pups out of it however; the whole affair hadn't been for nothing. She shut her eyes at Soren's touch. "This is goodbye then. I'll be Aela the scout and you'll be Soren the Royal Guard again. Nothing else. But one day your children will know you as more than that, I promise," she managed to say around the lump in her throat. The golden she-wolf shifted to a sitting position with the two pups between her paws, and her blue eyes flicked between Pyre and Nova. "And thank you, for helping us through this. I don't know if I'd have had the courage without you." Nova nodded silently, not saying a word, though his gaze communicated his feelings enough that they were not needed. He leaned forward and gently picked up Noris by the scruff, breathing in the warm milky scent.
