As you can see many citizens are running and creating chaos from this once peaceful city. Behind me you can see humans with deathly pale skin "rising from the dead" just after they have died, and have the sudden urge to attack anything living. Thats right, these people attack the living. If you look to the left of me you will see one roaming the streets as of now. Please if you are at home lock your doors and make sure your loved ones are near, again don't leave-" -Female Screams- ........... PLEASE STAND BY........... WE WILL BE RIGHT BACK____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ A deadly virus has swept across the world, nearly taking over human population in a matter of days. Government officials released in what hoped to be a cure to cancer, brought successful results until another disease erupted, the side effects from the cure. Not only did people die, but were plagued with another unknown virus that reacts in a matter of days, the symptoms of a state of fever, aches, and internal bleeding, and this illness ultimately lead to death. The infected just right after they die, reanimate into living corpses who only have one agenda in mind; the lust for blood. Blood spilt and only a few remaining survivors roam this havoc of destruction. You are one of them. You fortunately have survived in what killed many friends, family, and other loved ones. You might just be humanity's last hope in this now destroyed world. We don't have time for anythi-" Levi was cut off by Edgar lunging on the end of his leash to roll in a dead squirrel in the middle of the road. "Edgar," Levi reprimanded, pulling the pup away from his smelly prize. Levi's eyes scanned the area around him. It was quiet... too quiet, especially for a day like this. "Edgar, heel," he added. The pup trotted at his side while Levi checked each of the houses for unlocked doors and keys. But before attempting each he gave the slightest tap of his finger on the door and pressed his ear against it, listening for any sounds of those who may have turned while holes up in their homes. Levi's knife was poised to strike at any walker that dared to cross his path. After deeming his first several houses clear, he noticed Edgar was acting strangely. Edgar was sniffing at the air and ground his floppy ears were trained on any noise. Levi took this as a bad sign, as the pup had sharper hearing than him and would know of any walkers out of his ear shot. But what made Edgar's scenting different was that his tail was not rigid and held alert, rather it was wagging loosely. The way he walked was loose and Levi let down his guard a little. Probably some other dog. There's plenty of strays hanging out here. Just hope they haven't gotten too feral. he thought, loosening his grip on the knife. He knew he shouldn't get sidetracked by whatever Edgar scented out and he tugged a little on the leash to convince Edgar to go the opposite way. The pup thought otherwise and gave no heed to Levi. He was on the brink of picking up the pup and leaving, but all of a sudden, Edgar's tail wagged rapidly back and forth and the pup began to back up, his whole back end wiggling. And that's when he began to let out several high-pitched yaps in excitement. He'd just scented out another dog. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Hunter | Male | 25 years | Enforcer Mentions: Max (directly), (Max smells Beatrix and Ren) | Beatrix (indirectly) Location: Outskirts of Newark, streets | Time: 12:50 Hunter was now in the outskirts of Newark, where there was a slim chance of finding Beatrix there, though it was slim; She could be anywhere. He walked quietly down the street, Max sniffing the ground continuously, though he occasionally warned Hunter of walkers, which he would just shoot with his bow before retrieving the arrows. Max stopped and looked up at Hunter, nudging him softly with his shoulder. The dog smelled two humans, females specifically, and he recognized one as Beatrix. Hunter nodded, though Max wouldn't understand, and the Belgian Malinois continued down the street, following the scent. Hunter crouched a bit, staying low, occasionally having to stop to kill the walkers that came and having to retrieve his arrows after. Oh, I forgot to say, I don't know why, but Max is wearing a dog muzzle on his snout because he's very aggressive (army dog;) )) 0 players like this post! Like? |

Ren || 24 || Female || Hetrosexual || Hunter || Streets, Outskirts of Newark|12:50| Mentions: Hunter, Max, and Beatrix(indirectly) A part of Ren wanted to place Kido's muzzle on in fear of not knowing what was ahead. Kido often protected her from the walkers. She learned early on that animals were unaffected by what ever virus was being carried by the living dead. Her bow was being gripped tightly in her hand, arrow ready for any attack. At her side was a gun holster which carried a pistol, though she only used this in extreme cases. Kido again stopped, his head raised as his gaze fell upon Hunter and Max. A low growl rumbled in his chest, his hackles raised ready for what he thought was an incoming attacker. Ren noticed the change in Kido's behavior, now seeing a male and his canines coming in their direction. She made swift work of place the muzzle on Kido. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He wagged his own tail stiffly, head high and alert. He walked on stiff legs toward the human and pup, letting out a couple of quiet huff and rumbles from his chest. A pup! Meanwhile, Shaun dug through the house, looking for anything he could get his hands on. A couple of cans of food, some bottled water, and a lot of junk food and cereal. The fridge held nothing useful, most of its contents were going rancid, but he took out the eggs to check anyway. Eggs didn't actually need to be refrigerated, and could stay good for a couple weeks. And if they were bad, maybe he could throw them at that punk with the shepherd... He flung open the pantry and rifled through it, finding a large bag of dog food. He grinned and hauled it out. Before he could check the bathroom for medicine, he heard a series of yips and barks, and he cursed under his breath. "I am seriously beginning to hate dogs..." He glanced out the window in time to see Trouble racing off, and he grumbled. He stashed his backpack beneath the sink and ran out after the dog. "Trouble! Get back here before something eats you!" He turned the corner after the canine, and spotted more company. With yet another dog. But, at least this company was cute... He lowered his machete and swallowed the lump in his throat. "Uh... hi?" Hunter | Male | 25 years | Enforcer Mentions: Ren (directly) | None (indirectly) Location: Outskirts of Newark, streets | Time: 12:53 Hunter stopped in his tracks, immediately and instinctively raising his crossbow when the human, female in particular, came into sight, a small tan/gingery color wolf by her size. Damn it. Wolf, one of the only animals that Max, the Belgian Malinois, couldn't beat. At least it was a smaller than average wolf, probably from lack of food. Hunter didn't say a thing, but was happy Max's muzzle was on, for the dog would probably be barking loudly and snapping his jaws if it was not, but the dog was still growling and snarling, his tail erect and his body standing up straight. Hunter's eyes narrowed, one hand ready to restrain Max if he attempted to charge. -is offended- Hunter is cute, oh wait, its because he's heterosexual and Shaun is Bi, thats why. He'd been cooped up with Levi for the past week in the attic and needed a way to channel his puppy energy. The other dog didn't seem too threatening, despite his appearance and Levi was glad the dog was lunging towards him with the intent to rip out he and Edgar's throats. Levi didn't trust Edgar off his leash and if the puppy got hurt or died, well, he'd feel bad. It would be like letting his little brother die. Aiden... I haven't given up on you. We'll meet up soon. Just... hold on. he thought, shaking the dark thought from his mind. Levi held back Edgar until another person came into view and surprisingly, it wasn't a walker. Levi put his pocket knife away and instead focused on the other guy and Edgar. Edgar was trembling with excitement, tongue lolling out the side of his mouth. It was funny how Levi who could be so serious got stuck with such a goofy pup. After all, the pup could have died without him- either torn apart by the walker or starving to death. When he's found him, Edgar was underweight with no way to get to any food. All the cabinets had been adequately "puppy-proofed". Levi's eyes met those of the stranger. He wrapped Edgar's taut leash around his hand a few times and asked. "And who are you? Would ask what you're doing, but I think I know well of what everyone's up to these days," he said, pulling back his pup. 0 players like this post! Like? |

He had considered giving a fake name, but what was the point? He opened his mouth to speak again, but a sound caught his attention. One he was growing to know well. "Well, great as it is to meet someone not trying to kill me, I think we should move this conversation indoors..." He took a step back toward where he had come from, machete now gripped tightly in his hands. Trouble flicked an ear, hearing groaning and shuffling, and he scooted closer to the pup, snarling in the direction of the sound. "Trouble. Trouble!" Shaun called, patting his leg. The dog was hesitant to follow, casting a sidelong glance at the boy and pup. He huffed at them before walking toward Shaun. "Got a place around the corner. Boarded windows and all that. If... you wanna come." He again kicked himself mentally. ((Sorry Hunter, you lose hotness points when you aim weapons at someone. XD )) 0 players like this post! He flicked the blade out and in a deep voice with the end of it pointed at the boy who introduced himself as "Shaun", Levi gave his warning. "You pull any kind of crazy shit, it won't just be walker guts splattered all over the walls," he said. Edgar was itching to go and he was starting to whimper. Pfft. Baby. he thought with the slight roll of his eyes. Levi's eyes met Shuan's once more. "Alright then, lead the way, unless you want a walker feasting on your brains." he said, clicking his tongue at Edgar whose eyes were full of nervousness. Lifting his blade, he took the head off of an approaching ghoul, watching it tumble back as the body grew limp. He ducked into the house and held open the door, waiting for everyone to get in before he quietly shut it and did up the bolt. He panted softly, swiping the back of his hand across his forehead to chase away the sweat. Once he had caught his breath, he finally reacted to Levi's threat. "Pretty sure that little pig sticker of yours wouldn't be able to cut me open too bad. Lot harder to stab someone to death than people think. Plus, then you'd have to deal with him." He jerked his thumb in the direction of the behemoth canine, who had already gotten into the bag of dog food by ripping it open. Much like one would with the belly of an enemy. He was wagging his tail as he ate, scarfing down massive mouthfuls as though he hadn't eaten in ages. The dog lashed his tail, though for some reason he didn't charge, like Hunter expected him to. Hunter's crossbow remained trained on the female, ready to shoot if need be. Then a figure appeared behind her and he rolled his eyes, same thing had happened to him and the male earlier. He moved the crossbows' aim a bit, trained on the forehead as the creature got closer to her and released, the arrow hitting the walker right in the middle of the forehead. He let out a sigh, now needing to retrieve his arrow, but it could wait. "The names Hunter, you?" he asked, eyes narrowed, though he had returned his crossbows' aim to her, still ready to make the shot. She was a potential ally, he had kind of saved her life - though it didn't matter, she probably could've done it herself - but there was still a chance she would try to kill him. Max wanted to bark at the female wolf, but didn't because the dog was smart enough to know it would attract walkers, well because Hunter had taught him to not bark in army training. 0 players like this post! Reading a god awful self help book...in the middle of the Apocalypse. Was he stupid? Jasper had no idea when he finally put the book down, and oh damn, he's hot. flashed through the younger males brain, before the older male walked up the stairs and shot something multiple times. Wincing, Jasper could guess what was about to happen as he stuck his bow on his shoulder and climbed up a bookcase, careful as to not knock anything down. Once reaching the top, the lanky male took wide steps - yet freezing when the stranger made his way back down the stairs. Upon hearing the first groan and foot steps, Jasper crouched down and pulled his bow off his back quickly loading an arrow in it. "Despite the fact you locked the door, you seemed to have under estimated some things." he stated quietly. "Now, before they are able to break inside I suggest you climb up. She couldn't quite tell what it was but it was moving and they appeared human-like. Serena decided to go take a peak: perhaps it would make her day more exciting. She brushed the dirt off her pants as she stood up quietly and climbed down off the barn roof. She latched her quiver to her back and held her bow tightly as she began to walk toward the city. It took her quite some time to approach the city, probably about an hour or so. When she finally arrived, she maneuvered around the wasteland formerly known as Newark, New Jersey without making much noise. Suddenly she heard two or three voices in the distance. She moved herself up onto higher ground as she began to look for the source. It wasn't long before she saw it. Two males. One took the head off a walker before running into the house she was in with the other close at his heels. Serena lifted her bow with the arrow loaded into it and aimed it right at them as they ran inside. "Don't move," she commanded as she held her bow at the ready. 0 players like this post!
