Name: Aurelie "Aurey" Quinn
(Or-eh-lay Qu-ih-nn)
Isle of Origin: Rockfall - Riter
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Appearance: Aurey is 5'1 and scrawny. She wears clothes that barely fit her and do nothing to compliment her modest figure, but they're easy to move in and maintain. Mousey brown hair is hardly ever brushed, typically thrown up in a bun. She has smokey green eyes and an intensity to her features. More often than not, she's covered in some form of dirt or grease, but it doesn't bother her. Beneath the grime, she has a spray of freckles that are most visible in the summer.

Personality: No one knows much about Aurey, probably because she almost never speaks. People take this as her being shy or stuck-up, but in reality she's a sweet girl underneath her tough exterior. She is fiercely loyal if you can get her to open up. Not afraid to get her hands dirty, she values hard work and honesty. Aurey can be stubborn, which isn't always a good thing. The girl can pack a mean punch as well.
Likes: Good food, a warm bed, animals (typically the underdog/runt/reject), music, bunnies (!!), street fighting styles, cooking, drawing
Dislikes: Displays of weakness, entitled folks, pity, thieves, socialization of most kinds
Backstory: Aurelie began her life on Alstor, before it became infected with rot and crumbled. She lead a peaceful life with her mother and father. They ran a cafe. It was a meager living, but they were happy and able to provide for their only daughter. She got to go to school and take riding lessons.
Aurey lost her parents during the evacuation, when everything began to fall apart. She was 15 at that time. This is also when she learned about her particular "skill", which became active due to the extreme trauma at the time of her parent's death.
Homeless, parentless, she found herself traveling to Riter. She spent the next four years trying to survive on the streets. She took odd jobs, finding she had picked up the talent of cooking from her parents. She also had to learn how to fight - fast and sometimes dirty. Every day was a struggle for food, shelter, safety...life itself, sometimes. Aurey put her name into the raffle with the hopes that she could find someplace she could settle in and make a comfortable life for herself. She's not terribly upset about being drawn, even though she knows her outlook is grim.
Mutation/Power: "Sonic Scream": Amplification of her vocal chords to create a sound wave that can blow you away - literally! It's also good for shattering ear drums. However, Aurey has never learned how to control this. In fact, she's afraid of it and considers herself a freak because of it. This is the reason she doesn't talk, for fear of harming other people unintentionally. This is also a major strain on her body, making her hoarse and weak for hours, sometimes days. Sometimes, extreme anger or sadness can make this ability "explode" from within her.
Other: She carries around a tattered, dirty sketchpad for drawing and communication.

Name: Detton Romaro

Gender: Male
Appearance: Detton has light, mocha colored skin with dark, kinky curls on top of his head. To say the least, he's your typical black guy, blessed with gorgeous skin that makes his teeth look unrealistically white. Unlike most black people, excuse my use of words here, he has light green eyes that really pop because of the color of his skin. Detton is very tall for a young man. Standing at six foot six, he towers over many people that are around him. But Detton isn't intimidating, maybe if he would build some more muscle, but he is lean and tall, making him look skinnier and weigh less than he does.
Personality: Detton is a silly guy. He is quite bubbly for a guy and loves to be around people. He almost can't live without being around people, he feels too alone. Detton also loves to talk. About anything really. He can babble on and on until his voice goes hoarse. This aspect of him causes some people to get annoyed and he has heard "Detton come on and quit your yapping," way too many times. His talking has even caused him to be late to important things. There isn't anything specific that Detton likes to talk about, he enjoys conversing about literally everything. Detton is also very outgoing, there isn't anything that keeps him back from introducing himself to new people. Although Detton is very outgoing, he doesn't have many friends. He keeps a few close ones but he was never the type to have twenty friends he hungout with all at once.
Detton can be a little impatient at times, especially when things aren't going his way. He has been known to rush people until they get annoyed by him. Detton likes to rush into things that he shouldn't necessarily rush into but rather take the time to learn about what he is getting into. Whenever he is starting something new he normally rushes it and ends up failing in the long run. Detton is a genuinely happy person and can be really fun to be around. He is a joy at parties and can make just about anyone laugh. Although he has his quirks he is genuinely a good guy.
Likes: Anything athletic, farming, plants, animals, learning new things, long conversations, anything that will give him an adrenaline rush.
Dislikes: People who can't keep a conversation, the big city, slow people, when people try to rush him [even though he rushes people]
Backstory: Detton was born and raised in Kraen. He grew up on your typical farm that housed many different creatures and species of animals. He was taught to tend to the animals and plants on the farm so he knows quite a bit on both subjects. When he was very young he was taught the basics, like how to water and to feed, as he grew he gained more knowledge and now he knows what plants are what, what they can eat, what each animal can eat, and how to tend to them when they are sick or injured. When he became old enough to work he would help out on neighboring farms and inside animal clinics where people would bring in their banshees and what nots. He was almost never inside when he was younger. His family had so much property for him to roam that he never felt the need to stay inside. This also helped him to learn different types of plants and trees. Not only is Detton good with animals and plants, he also knows how to track them since his older brother was an avid hunter. He knows the sights and sounds of different animals and knows where they may be in a certain season.
Detton joined the raffle because he knew that in the end he would get something out of it. His parents aren't very rich and are beginning to struggle with the ranch. Detton has his hopes that he can win something that can go back to his parents. He also entered because he was tired of working on the ranch. It was beginning to take a tole on his body and he wanted to experience something new.
Mutation/Power: Detton has quite the coincidental power. After he came in contact with the rot, he began to be able to speak to animals. It at first started with small whispers, where he would walk by an animal and it would whisper. He thought it was someone playing a joke on him, but when he began walking alone he noticed that he could talk to animals. It isn't like they're mouths would move and he would listen, it was more their thoughts interrupting his. Even though he can talk to them, they are still animals, and have their own personalities, thoughts, likes, and dislikes. Many of them are still wild and wouldn't think twice about killing him even though he can communicate with them. Not only that, but many wild animals are still afraid of him even though he can talk to them. This power does come with its perks. Detton can't turn it off, so when he is sleeping he can hear any animal that tries to speak to him directly and during the day he can get a mix of voices in his head and wouldn't be able to pick out a certain one.
Detton has also...grown something. After he came in contact with the rot he not only began to be able to talk to animals but he also grew a tail. Yes. A tail. This tail is kind of odd. It's much like a dogs where he wags it when he is excited or happy but unlike a dogs tail its scaled, but not entirely. It's very slim and long but very strong. It has shimmery blue and purple scales and dark purple hair or fur on the bottom and on the tip of the tail. The unfortunate part about this tail is sometimes he can't control it and he thinks it has a mind of its own. It can also be stepped on or cut off so it can be a disadvantage.

Hey davvy, i was trying to think of a physical mutation, and i belive ive got it! :33
Im modifying Artemia's literal genetic code for the mutation/power, but it isnt an apparent PHYSICAL mutation, so im going to give her slitted eyes and elven ears (heightened senses is her power/mutation) that her genetic code 'grew' when it was changed.

EDIT: Changed her to have a more PHYSICAL mutation with the elven ears and slitted eyes. Im not really sure what i could do for a physical mutation for my second bab, since its basically animal telepathy....
