It was a fair day, the sky was ever so slightly cloudy and the sun shined throughput the large town of New York. Leonidas and his siblings, his four their sisters who walked in front of him, they're pelt was more of a black and white while his contained of shades of brown and beige. They were on they're way to a show. Leonidas wasn't too excited but he knew it was what he was technically bred for...though he loved the attention and pampering he hated having to follow rules.
As the tall and muscular dog trotted into the large building he couldn't help but notice another dog off into the distance, he stopped to look but the human holding his leash suddenly gave a sharp yank. His brows furrowed a but and his cropped ear flicked to the side. "Maybe I was just seeing things...it is hot out here anyway.." He mumbled to himself.

The tall buildings were shimmering in the sun that was gliding through the soft, white clouds that dotted the sky. Cassy was trotting through the streets, mostly passing through the alleys that she had grown to know like the back of her paw. Her stomach was growling, but she ignored it, due to it being customarily close to empty. The chatter of people was deafening as always, but she was more focused on finding food than anything. It had rained the night befpre, so the ground was still wet. She could see the mist rising in the sun, and the smell of cooking meat pressed to her nose. She stopped, hiding in the shadow of an alley, as she watched a food vendpr hand a container to a woman. Her eyes moved toward someone who moved away from a street bench and tossed a half eaten cheeseburger in the direction of a garbage can. But, having been moving in the process, it didn't land in the can, rather on the ground. Taking the chance she darted forward and grabbed the food before running back into the alley and to the other end. There was a large crowd surrounding the building where all the purebreds had their shows. She sat down slowly ate the half-eaten burger.

Leon was curious, and his sisters noticed. "Leon your dozing off again! Ugh..you know mother hates it when you do that.." One said and scoffed, her ears laid back and her tail raised high. Leonidas just rolled his eyes, sitting down on the red, shampooed carpet and watched as other dogs were shown. Having they're owners hold they're neck up high by the collar and gently tapping they're legs to get the to stand tall. Leonidas cringed a bit, knowing his turn was almost up. But in the mean time a black poodle came trotting at his side, giving him a dirty look then purposely shoved her proofed tail into his face. Leon growled and shook his head, most of the other dogs here were extremely competitive and did NOT like to lose, Leonidas however didn't care whichever.
Finally it was his turn, Leon switched to his work mode and strutted with his chest puffed out and his chin held up high. He walked beside his owner, going through small obsticles and doing random tricks to impress the judges. His most striking feature was his eyes, one was a crystal blue while the other was an amber like color. The oo's and aw's that rose from the crowd gave him confidence and decided to strike a pose for the camera, all until he spotted the same dog from outside just beyond the window. Leon yanked on the leash and let out a loud bark, stunning the audience and causing loud commotion.

When the food was gone, her stomach was about half full, more than it usually was. She stayed on her stomach, hidden in the shadows and watched the people pass by. Soon, she would probably head back to the warehouse where she had taken up residence when she was thrown out of her home a few months ago. A large drop of water dripped onto her snout, making her snort and shake her head. After a while she stood and shook out her fur. Beginning her journey back to the warehouse, she walked down the sidewalk, slowly leaving behind the show building.

Leonidas whimpered, seeing she was getting ready to head off. "Dang...she's leaving!" He growled then finally calmed down after a sharp yank of the leash, he could see his sibling giggling and laughing at his proformance and knew his owners definitely wouldn't take a liking to any of it afterwards.
Hours later That night Leonidas got fourth place in the show, wich did not please his owners, causing him to be scolded at and punished by sleeping outside in the pouring rain. Hey didn't mind too much though, he enjoyed the soothing rain.
The large dog ears perked once he heard rustling in the garbage can about a few yards down, he rose a brow and walked over to the Pickett fence, jumping up and peering over to see what all the commotion was about, only to see the same Australian Shepard he saw twice before. "H-hey!" He barked loudly, his tail waging.

Cassy had decided to make a small trip to a neighborhood , and she had found some trashcans that someone had dumped perfectly good chicken into. She rustled around a bit, finally finding the whole chicken, and grasping it in her jaws. She heard a bark, and she looked around, seeing the head of a Great Dane poking up from the white fence. She tended to keep to herself around other dogs. On the street, it was every dog for themselves, and everyone stayed to themselves. So upon hearing the dog, she backed away and ran back toward the abandoned warehouse at the edge of the city.

"H-hey! Hey wait!" He barked louder, scraping against the fence and trying to leap over. Finally Leon took a few steps back then leaped over with his tail and ears perked. "Hey wait a minute! " he yelped as he ran after her, unfortunately losing sight of her in the crowd of people. Who knew so many people were out at night! Leonidas sniffed the air until he finally caught her scent, following it he was unsure but continued on. "Where did she go..?" He mumbled to himself as he trotted on until he came to a large warehouse. He slowed down a bit and his ears slightly laid back, though he was quite a big dog he didn't have much experience out on the streets.

She ran until she was sure she had lost the Great Dane in a crowd of people. She came to a more empty part of town, and entered the empty warehouse. She padded over to a large nest of ratted blankets which she had found throughout the streets, and made into a sort of nest. Laying down, she started to gnaw on the chicken, but before she could really eat it, she smelled another stray enter the warehouse.
"Well, well. What do we have here?" A large male German Shepherd had crept into the warehouse and was walking towards Cassy. She set the chicken down behind her, and growled in response to the intrusion.
"What are you doing here," she said, anger in her voice feebly trying to cover up the fear in her voice. She was a lot smaller than this dog, and he would probably win in a fight.
"Oh, I was just passing by, and I happened to smell the meat in here. Also, why give up a good place to stay? I even would have a companion!" He got closer to Cassy, causing her to back up instinctively.

Leonidas heard the growls coming from inside, his right ear perked to see if he could listen. He stepped into the darkened warehouse and noticed the German Shepard approaching the female who obviously didn't want anything to do with him. Leon stood tall and furrowed his brows, looking down apon the slightly smaller German Shepard. "Hey...I'm no biologist but uh...when another creature growls, I'm pretty sure it means your unwanted.." Leonidas smirked and looked over at Cassy, then back at the German Shepard. "So...I uh...I think you better leave before things get worse.." Leonidas growled with a snarl, taking a step forward carefully, watching his every move.

The German Shepherd looked over to the great Dane, and laughed harshly. From the look of the Great Danes fur, and how miraculously groomed his fur was, he was a showdog.
"What's it to you, showdog? Why don't you run back to your cushion, and leave us strays to our own buisness.." He turned his head to look back toward Cassy, who was slightly bewildered at seeing the same Great Dane from the neighborhood here, mixed with terror at the German Sheperd.

Leon cocked his head back and furrowed his brows, narrowing his eyes. He looked down at his black collar for a few moments then tore it off with his paws. "What's it to me, you ask..? Well I'm just trying to help her out since you obviously don't have a clue what personal space is..!" Leonidas growled taking yet another half step closer, looking down at the Greman Shepard. "and personally, If I were her I wouldn't want to be anywhere near you with THAT nasty smell" he grinned, chuckling a bit with a snarky look on his snout.

Cassy stepped back, sensing the growing tension between the two males. She could see the cockiness in the German Sheperd, but she thought she could smell some nervousness as well. He snorted, giving the Great Dane a once over.
"Who cares? She is just another female. And smell, doesn't matter here, fluffbutt. " He fully turned to face the Great Dane, growling. His stance was a bit wavering, given the other dogs size. But since he was a show dog, he doubted his fighting skills.

The scruff along his back rose with anger, he growled loudly, his teeth baring. "Don't call me fluffbutt..." He muttered and his ears flattened against his head. Though his overall fighting skills weren't the best he had his weight in his side to potentially knock the other over in case the other male decided to pounce or make any kind of attack. Leonidas looked over to Cassy, making a few motions with his eyes telling her to move to a shadowed area where she can hide whil he would deal with the German Shepard.
"Listen,bud...I'm just trying to help her out...and your not helping the situation.." Leon grumbled, starring straight into the males eyes.

Cassy could see the show dog motion for her to move away, and she backed up again, but not before the German Shepherd looked back at her and snarled,"Hey missy. You stay right there!" Cassy froze, afraid that he would jump her. "Good dog," he snorted. "Now, back to you buster. You may think you can get whatever you want because you are a show dog, but that isn't how it works out here. But you wouldn't know that would you?"

Leon smirked and began to pace side to side. "Maybe your right...hm...maybe I should go back to my 'cushions' and, 'groomers'. OR-" Leonidas explained then came to a stop, looking back at the German Shepard. "I could show you that your ignorance can turn you into a fool within a matter of seconds..." Leon snarled angrily, becoming tired of the other males demands. "And I don't remember you claiming that female not this warehouse, the only main scent I can tell here is hers..." Leon barked out, his tail swaying side to side, showing his impatience
