"So your telling me, you don't do ANYTHING?" Leon asked, his jaw dropping a bit in surprisment. "Well damn, say, after we go get some food, how about we go down to the creek? I know where it is, I'd usually take walks around there!" Leon suggested then nudged Cassy playfully with his paw. "How about it?" He asked once more with a wide smile, his ears perked and his tail wagged. "There's usually small fish in there that if try to catch sometimes! It's super fun!" Leon continued as he watched a few cars zoom by, must rising from the access water from last nights rain.

Cassy shook her head. "Nope, not really. I guess it just never really occurred to me." She listened at Leon's surprised reaction, and smiled at the thought of going down to the creek. He nudged her with his paw, and she playfully butted her head into his side. She tried to imagine him trying to catch a fish, and it made her laugh. "That would be great!" She looked around at the mist trailing into the sky, and she stepped in little puddles as they walked through different alleys.

Leon rose a brow and didn't really understand what the laugh was for but went along with it anyway. "Perfect! You'll have a blast!" Leonidas jumped in excitement as they walked. Leon wasn't much of the quiet type, he talked and talked the whole time they walked. The truth is, he just didn't like silence, it made him uncomfortable...some humans stared at the two as they passed by, without a care in the world as it seemed. Leon talked about all sorts of things that go on in his daily life, about the shows and how hectic they can be.

As they walked, Cassy listened to Leon talk about events that usually go on in his life, and Cassy listened. She usually didn't have company on her travels through the streets, so she enjoyed his chatter.
"I imagine they would be hectic, all that preparation just for a ribbon." She turned her head to see a sign nailed to a post, with a picture of Leon on it. "Hey, isn't that you, Mr.Free Dog?" She read the sign, it said missing, with a high amount of reward money under his picture.

Leon looked up at the post and furrowed his brows, he growled a bit then jumped up and tore it down immediately. " I don't want to ever go back to that, it's just awful having to do so much for something that will mean nothing in a matter off days..." Leon huffed then continued walking. "They didn't respect me, especially my sisters, all they did was tease and shove me out of the way all the time. " Leon explained with twitching ears, flicking side to side with each new noise from the busy streets of New York, the honks and shouts from angry drivers getting caught in heavy traffic.

Cassy watched as Leon tore down the poster, ripping it to shreds, the little bits of paper slowly falling to the ground. They became mush as they landed in little puddles on the sidewalk. She started walking by him again, Leon huffing in frustration.
"I never had any siblings. But I do know some things about getting shoved out," Cassy said, her ears drooping. Her eyes were a bid clouded, thinking back to when her owners had moved, leaving her behind in the streets of New York. She had kept her pace, but she tuned out the sounds of everything, the cars, the shouts of the people yelling.

Leon looked down at Cassy with furrowed brows, and a worried look on his face. He didn't want to say anything, for it wasn't of any of his business..Leon stayed silent the rest of the way, but made occasional comments here and there. As they walked they passed by many different types of people. Loud people, quiet people, and even homeless people.now, Leon usually thought that humans would find an empty house and claim it as their own, and that some just weren't as lucky as others, so they would have to sleep on the streets instead.. Leon pressed his ears back as they passed by the old man sitting on some blankets. "Hm..." He mumbled beneath his breath as he walked

Cassy came out of her trance, and they passed a homeless man sitting on a cluster of blankets. She knew how he felt, stuck on the street. But she didn't want to spoil the mood for Leon anymore, so she tried to push aside her thoughts. They came to another corner, just getting ready to turn when a man with a scraggly beard and a hat on, who was eyeing Leon and Cassy. It took her a moment before recognition sparked in her mind and she stiffened.
"Leon, we need to get out of here. Now."

Leon's ears perked and turned to face Cassy, who was on her heels. "Huh? What? Why?" He asked, but decided not to ask anymore questions considering she knew much more about the streets rather than he did...so he quickly picked up the pace,though not really sure why, he went along with it. As he fast walked he could feel some one or something watching him, which made the fur on the back of his neck rise. He was uncomfortable and just wanted to blast out of there..

They began walking at a quicker pace, turning down the next alley. She turned her head to see that the man had tutned around and began slowly following them.
"Leon, you need to follow me no matter where I go, okay?" Cassy suddenly ran across the street, narrowly escaping two cars that honked as she ran across.

Leonidas followed, trying to keep up without going into a run, it was hard fast walking with long legs!
"O-okay!"'Leon barked back then quickly got into a sprint, following close behind while trying not to be run over by cars that jerked around, honking and screeching against the pavement. "Jesus Christ! What are we even running from?" Leon barked, jumping on and over cars to keep up with Cassy as best as he could without getting run over or running her over from going to fast.

She looked back at Leon who was trying to keep uo with her without hitting her heels, and she tried to answer his question while running.
"That guy is a dog snatcher. He takes dogs off the street and sells them for profit. And I bet he would love to get his hands on you." She saw the perfect alley up ahead, so she barked,"Turn there!" Leon went infront of her and turned in the alley, with Cassy behind him, but to her dismay, instead of the alley being empty, the otber rnd had a partner of the snatcher standing there with a van.

Once Leon made the sharp turn into the ally he quickly came to a skidding stop, seeing that they were cornered. Leon let out a low growl, his eyes darting back and forth from the two dog snatchers. "Get under me..." Leon mumbled to Cassy, baring his sharp k-9s. Leon snarled and barked loudly, hoping the snatchers wouldn't far to take another step towards them. Finally, Leon decided to make his own move, but before he mumbled to Cassy once more. "Move with me, stay under.." He said softly then took a step toward the snatcher, opening his mouth wide with a loud bark and snarls. Leon moved side to side yet made sure he was able to let Cassy stay beneath him while he continued to try to fight off the snatchers.

Cassy moved under Leon, into the protection from the snatchers. She moved with Leon as he tried to keep them at bay, growling at them. The one that had began the chase was watching Cassy carefully, so when she accidentally slipped on a plastic baggy, he was right on her tail. She yipped as he grabbed her, and she tried to turn and get her jaws around his hand.

"Cassy!" He barked out, seeing her struggle but eventually get her jaws around the mans wrist. Leon Lunged foreward and toppled over the human who tried to restrain Cassy and take her for they're own profit. What a shame...some humans just don't care about other lives. Leonidas pinned the human down, forcing every ounce of weight he had and sunk his pearly white k-9's deep into the mans shoulder, thrashing his head side to side until he heard a loud crack coming from his now broken shoulder bone. Leonidas finally let go and turned to Cassy with blood covering his muzzle.
