Ruined. Her plans: ruined. Because of a rope. She wouldn't be able to throw her apples, she wouldn't get far on foot, probably loose balance and trip and fall or something. Raz ignored most of what the Prince had said. Most of it, until his last words. Death, marriage to a royal, a life of servitude. Instead of spitting, she felt like puking. She'd left her father to get away from that, and here she was, being taken away. "Oh, you don't kill everyone? How kind of you, your highness.." She kept her face impassive, "You disgust me." She growled. Glaring at the guard behind her and then the Prince. The way he spoke, so nonchalantly... As if this happened every day. They find a woman, man, girl, boy, child adult, and they take them. Nothing new for them. "You all truely must be as heartless as the rumors say."

James shrugged slightly, as the group started moving again, planning to just leave for the castle as soon as possible, a few guards staying around their new addition, making sure she didn't try to escape, but James' cousin was the one holding her, just in case. "Oh, I know, right? Very kind of us." James replied sarcastically, shaking his head. "No, no, I'm not as heartless as the rest of us, honestly. I'm not picking up commoners with magic out of choice, it's simply a responsibility of mine. Trust me, if I could let you go free, I just might." He said, with another shrug, his words seeming genuine, but it was sometimes hard to tell, with him.

Raz looked over at him. She finally let herself actually look at him. Noting his dark blue eyes-- not helping the not-so-heartless opinion-- his black hair, pulled back, his tanned skin. He could be attractive, if he lost the attitude. She returned her gaze ahead of her. "You know," she said, evening out her tone. She hadn't exactly given her best characteristics either. "You could let me free. I'll keep quiet. I don't know you, you don't know me. We never met. I don't even know about... See? I don't know." She hoped she came across as confident, that the slight quaver in tone had passed unnoticed, and that he would let her be on her way. She glanced over at him, looking for any chance at him leaving her then and there.

((Is Raz on a horse?))

(nah, a bunch of guards are just walking her along)

James actually laughed a bit, at her statement. "Oh, and risk getting in trouble, maybe sent away to a remote town, banished or something, by my parents, for not doing my job? That's quite funny, actually." He said, chuckling again, and shaking his head. "Also, you seem to forget all the guards, and my cousin there, a knight. Kind of witnesses to this whole thing." He added, with a small shrug.

Raz's spirit dropped, and so did her head and shoulders slightly. "Well, that's the idea..." She mumbled under her breath, hoping he didn't hear. She walked along. They really knew how to make a girl feel like a prisoner. "I'd never forget that." She said, louder so he could hear. "They're under your command, right?" She paused. Letting that settle in. A small plan formulated in her mind and she started setting it to work. "I know a few tricks, too. Disguises being my specialty." A little mischief made its way into her voice. A small smile playing on her lips. They didn't know she could only disguise herself. They could think that she could disguise anything. Maybe, if she made them believe she was tricking them now, that they were really walking in the wrong direction, then they would turn around, and Raz could get more time to finish her plan. But first, she needs to make them think she is powerful.

James shrugged, his gaze briefly traveling over his guards. "Technically, they're not under my command, specifically. My father's the one who tells them what to do, but yes, right now, they more or less are, mine to command." He replied, briefly wondering why he was bothering to talk with her, a prisoner, really. He briefly narrowed his eyes at her, thinking right away she was planning something, but then again, he would probably do the same, if he was her. "Mhm. I have plenty of tricks, other than having the ability to command highly trained soldiers, to do my bidding." He said, with a small grin. "I dare you to try something. See how that works out for you." James said, in a lower voice, almost more of a threatening one, really.

Raz realized she wasn't going to get anywhere with the Prince, so maybe if she won over the guards... She straightened her shoulders and then turned her head slightly and looked at each guard that she had a chance at making eye contact with, hardening her expression. "I'd be careful where you tread." She said in a confident, almost commanding and daring tone. She took a quick glance at the ground, emphasizing her point, before looking ahead again. If the guards faltered, Raz would win the upper hand. Even if she did nothing, they wouldn't know. She kept in a smirk that tried getting out, only the corners of her lips upturning just slightly. Every once in a while, she would step to the side, as if moving out of the way of something, or lift her leg higher, as if she were stepping over a stump or larger rock.

Most of the guards barely paid attention to what she did and said, simply wanting to get back to the castle, for the most part. A few, though, thought about her words, seriously wondering what she meant, like, if she had backup, or something. james noticed what she said too, and narrowed his eyes at the woman. She was up to something, he knew it for sure. He was almost tempted, to maybe freeze her lips shut, or something, since all the threats would get old after a while, but he figured that might be too extreme. And too painful, really, as that sounded awful.

Not the complete effect she had hoped for, but she'll take what she can get. Raz walked on in silence, still making slight adjustments to her steps every couple of dozen feet. Sometimes, there actually was something here, a bump or ditch in the road in which she had to avoid. After a while of silence, leaving Raz to her thoughts, her exhaustion crumbled on top of her. Cleaning that house all morning, running from totals and guards, and pulling her magic. She hadn't exerted herself that much in... Well, she hadn't ever. It felt good, she felt awake. Yet terribly tired at the same time. She wondered if they were heading to the castle yet. The guards seemed to want to get there as soon as possible.

Within at least another hour, they arrived at the castle, the gate opening when the guards manning it saw who was approaching, and it closed when they were all inside again. James hopped off of his horse with a small huff, letting a stablehand lead it away, to feed it and such. He turned to the captive, and grinned, his cousin still restraining her. "And now, you get to "meet" the king and queen. You try to run, you're probably gonna die." He told her, and nodded at the knight, who nodded in response, to walk off and do his own thing. James nudged her forward, as they started walking to the throne room.

"Good advice." She attempted at sarcasm. Her voice wavered, almost cracking from dissuse. She watched the head guard, her captor-- or was the Prince her captor?-- walk walk away. She felt his absence, even though she hadn't known him more than an hour, she felt connected to him. She knew, though, somewhere inside her, that they would get to know each other a lot more in the future. The Prince, too. She looked back at the Prince. "What do you mean 'meet' the king and queen? Am I to meet them or not?" She asked, looking at him over her shoulder while walking at the same time. She wanted to get under his skin, see when he cracked. She was sure he wouldn't keep his cool forever and would eventually just let her go. Or he would make a mistake and allow her out by some mishap. Whichever came first.

James shrugged slightly, as he kept walking, calmly, occasionally glancing at her, watching for any changes in movement that signaled her trying to fight back or escape. "Well, it's not a pleasant meeting with them. I'd hardly call it meeting them, myself, as you're just going to be presented to them, more or less, and your fate is decided." He explained, not particularly irritated by her remarks, but they were starting to get old, and just a bit annoying, if anything. But it wasn't anything he couldn't handle, though.

"So, I'm your prized game after a hunt?" She asks, raising an eyebrow. "You going to skin and stuff me and put me in a. trophy case?" She continues innocently, a small pout forming, her lower lip just barely jutting out, but enough that it was.

Raz didn't know how to feel about meeting the king on queen. She never really thought of it. They were almost mythical, non existant. And there she was, on her way to the throne room. With a prince trailing her. Thinking about everything that had happened, it seemed bizzar. If Raz had told her mother or father about this, they wouldn't believe her. And she wouldn't blame them.

James rolled his eyes slightly. "Honestly? You'd be pretty lucky to end up like that. Because, you just might get married off to one of my creepier relatives, maybe. Or simply have a slow, torture-filled death." He responded, with a small grin. "But, we'll see what happens, hm?" He added.

Soon, they were standing in front of large, gilded doors, which James pushed open, walking in. The throne room was huge, with huge windows for plenty of light, jewels and gold decorating much of the room, and towards the other end, sat the king and queen, upon their thrones. James approached, pushing her along with him, briefly bowing before his parents, as he was supposed to.

(you wanna play one of them, and ill play the other? the king and queen, i mean.)

"Thats..." Raz couldn't even find words to vocalize her horror. Her terror was forgotten, though momentarily, as they entered the throne room. Raz paused on the threshold, gawking. Her lips parted in awe, as if she was going to say something, but couldn't find the words. Raz had never seen so much wealth in one place. She forgot where she was, but was reminded when he pushed her in. She reluctantly walked forward. She silently gulped as they approached the king and queen. She forgot to-- and maybe purposefully didn't-- bow for a moment as she looked at their attire. She looked over at the Prince, and was reminded of manners-- ironic. She gave a small bow, though she didn't think any of the royals deserved anything.

((Sure.))
