According to the Wiki, "Rosettes seem to be the most popular marking on Lioden currently, due to the mysterious nature of how they're passed on, and the fact that they can randomly pop up in any breeding. There are tons of user theories and conspiracies floating around regarding how Rosette works, but nobody truly knowsβthe code has yet to be cracked." I do. Every. Single. Father. Has. At. Least. One. Feline. Marking. See it? Maybe parents with Feline markings produce rosettes, but it's rare. Um I just found something I thought was interesting, not sure if anyone's seen something similar but I have an NRLC of the June 18 2021 Scoundrel RLC (my fave design so far) and I was messing around in the scry stone (i spend way too much sb there) and after about three tries, a random rosette popped up in slot 6! so I recorded this, kept trying then again at try #78 (  ) guess what happened? ANOTHER ROSETTE, slot 6 also! Coincidence??  I've recorded the results in the cub's description below (I'd say the time I did the scries was between 8pm-8:25pm LDT July 29, dry season, sunny if that's of any significance). She's a 7/15, all her markings are exactly what they should be for their respective slot, no feline markings for either my cub or the stud. To add my own random rosette cubs to the mix in case it helps find a pattern... I've been keeping track of only the same slot markings from mom and dad, haven't kept track of bases or anything else. Cub Slot 10: Ebony Heavy Rosette (tier4) Dad Slot 10: Blue Poinsettia Snuggle (tier 3) Mom Slot 10: Leg Banding White (tier 1) Cub Slot 7; Ebony Soft Rosette (tier 4) Dad Slot 7: Rime Reverse Vitiligo Mash (tier 3) Mom Slot 7: Cherry Upendezi (tier 3) Cub Slot 5: Dark Brown Rosette (tier 4) Dad Slot 5: Hoarfrost Hyena Unders (tier 3) Mom Slot 5: empty Cub Slot 6: Fiery Inverted Shaded Rosette (tier 4) Dad Slot 6: Mistletoe Reverse Indri (tier 3) Mom Slot 6: Empty For all of my random rosettes, dad has had a tier 3 marking in the same slot as the rosette. Dad does also happen to have a feline marking on a different slot, but personally I don't think markings on other slots are as much a factor. With other breeding projects, if you want something on a particular slot you have to find markings on that exact spot, and I suspect it works the same way with these. Most of the other lions I was where genetics of cubs and both parents were listed seemed to follow the same trend of one parent had a tier 3 marking in the exact same slot that the rosette appeared in the cub. The only exceptions I recall seeing were when the rosette appeared in a slot after slot 10. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I know that this is a page for cracking of the Rosette code but my G1 jaglion had 2 heats resulting in 6 cubs. Of the 6 cubs 4 had the phantom rosettes pop up. Two different studs were used. Both of them have rosettes but non "normal" rosettes passed. My question is has anyone else noticed that phantom rosettes has a higher passing rate? 0 players like this post! Like? |
