Some people don't have the luxury of playing all hours of the day. It would have been better if they'd notified everyone clearly about the specific changes so that players could adjust accordingly.

I wouldn't be surprised if the price was raised due to Felis coming out and the fact that, according to the New Posts, Buffalo Scrotum assists in helping you get Felis. They probably realized that players would buy an influx of scrots, and so to counter that they ended up raising the Buffalo cost. But to be honest, I'd rather have waited until after the event for Felis if this would be the consequence of having it this month.

Buffy balls help with any mutation's pass rate, as there is more cubs in the litter that could end up with it... It has nothing to do with felis. I would've tried more for sunsets or a pon with balls, not a felis when there was already nearing 10 within hours of its release.

Actually that's only true for hereditary mutations. A mutation like Achromia or Folded ears is not increased by using buffalo balls unless you were to include Lion balls in that mixture.

Still, that's no excuse to yank the rewards for hard work right out from under their players at the last second.

It just feels like the game is constantly flipping us the bird, every single time we get close to getting something done, they raise the bar. Every single time something good is going for the players in the event shops, they raise the costs.

Usually without notice. Which as a participant in the event, it feels like they just saw how we were doing and were like "No."

If they wanted Felis to be rarer, lower the pass rate even more, don't screw the entire community so a few breeders can't get their candy so easily.

Yeah, honestly. This has been happening for quite a while actually but it's really been grating on my lately. My enjoyment has been sapped real quick lately, way more than ever before.

The reason the bars are even here are so it's a "team effort" thing, so the community can feel like it achieved something. I don't feel like I achieved anything when this happens, I just feel like a jackass.

The only real issue with the changes is the extremes it gets set to in response to us doing well. Like last month, we opened up the first tier within days, and then got the 2nd tier a while after that, so what they did was raise the final tier's bar to the point we couldn't open up the murder stone until July had 3 or 4 days left to it. That's an extreme no one was prepared for and everyone wanted changed, yet we didn't get that.
