I can understand though

There's more players than last year, and with more players it means more of said item goes into the sale/items circle, and the prices go down. There will be so many in the sales that they will loose price or be overused, so raising the price helps keep that number down.

I dunno I'm still in the fence about it.

Not necessarily. More players buy the item, so if people are buying 2+ then you have more in circulation, i.e. sending prices down cause it's so much easier to get them

They're consumable items. Between the Primal variations, Sunsets, Leopons, and the new Lethal, they're going to get drained out of the game fast.

I guess, but if the price goes back to 500 then the prices for the item itself will stay low until they majority are cycled out and used, whereas setting the prices higher keeps that balance of the prices at normal.

Agreed. There may be more of the item, but there's also more people and amount of lions that people want to use it on. Such as a dwarf buff + lion balls combo. Plus let us not forget pons. I used my last pair of balls yesterday on a pon I froze yesterday since I figured I'd be at least able to get 2 for the one I left unfrozen. I used to be a constant player but lately have become a little more casual. And it's definitely harder to get stuff. And that's with me still using 3-7 energy bars a day. I'm not really getting as many bones as I'd hoped. I've only gotten 475 right now. And as a daily regular player you'd think I'd have at least a little bit more.

I agree with the bar thing too. They keep messing around with it and it doesn't really inspire me to aim for one goal or another if they were going to mess with it anyways.

The prices for GMO cows was raised and now they range from 25-50 gb. Buffalo Balls are consumable and most of the people buying them will keep them for themselves or sell them at 30+ gb.

Also to be honest, the price for balls are usually a little more expensive than the aphrodisia event anyways because they were still a lot harder to get in this event then that one. Though no matter what it's still expected for the price to drop a little bit. But because they were so expensive in this event already, the prices normally evened out again within a month or two anyways. I don't think the amount of people would really matter that much in this case to be honest. There's always a flood when it comes out. It usually lessens within the next month. Nothing wrong with that and a ton of what was bought would be gone in that amount of time.

That's how the game works though. That's how it's always worked.
Items come in from events, prices go down for a bit, and then go up immediately after the event ends. That's how it works and that's how it's worked for the past 2 and a half years I've been playing.

I personally think this is just another cash grab. In actuality, it's going to do the opposite. I personally planned on buying around 200gb when the shop unlocked and buying scrotums to last myself a few months, but now I won't be spending a dime. I won't be getting the bang for my buck that I thought would happen at the beginning of the month before the surprise change, and I'm not spending extra money for an item when there's no reason to.

That's actually a really good point Lex

I've noticed a lot recently that Lioden has been pushing for more GB sales and didn't even consider that. I just thought it was due to more people playing so they needed to raise the price
But just a random raise now, and the other pushes like the new lethal and primal just came out plus bases and marking it does make sense...

Regardless of their value in GB, a lot of people had plans for what they had earned so far, and to have that yanked away is not really acceptable.

My complaint is more about the admins taking away the point behind events, that effort = rewards, and people are going to be discouraged from event participation if their effort doesn't have any benefit for them. Incentives like good items in the shops for reasonable amounts of event currency that aren't changed suddenly are a good way to get people participating in the game and having fun.

But when that's taken away we lose a lot of camaraderie and trust between the players and the admins. It makes them seem like an enemy to the players and that's not really good for a game atmosphere. Look what it did to neopets. Nobody trusts TNT on there because they're a pack of liars, and have been for years. The game is basically a ghost town now, largely because nobody believes in the team behind the game anymore.
