Dawnclan Territory:
Dawnclan's territory is lightly forested, with wider, slow rivers connecting to the two small central lakes. The terrain is moss covered and gently hilly. A sandy area on the edge of a shallow river is their training area, and to the south is the two-leg gathering place where small nests nestle between thin cut trees on the edge of a small lake, which merges into the two-leg town the more south one goes.
The camp is nestled in a dip in the land, with a series of rocks that make shelters for the Leader and Medicine cat dens, as well as the nursery. The rest of the nests are in old burrows, the edge of the camp sheltered with prickly brambles. It is spacious and open, with plenty of places to relax on moss covered stones or tussle in soft grass.
the territory is marked to the east and north by a large, uncrossable river. To the south by the two-leg camp ground, and to the east by their boundary with Duskclan, which is marked most notably by a large spread of rocks along a thin river that eventually turns into Duskclan terrain. It is a spot of much conflict.

Duskclan Territory:
Duskclan's territory lies to the east side of the territories, in thicker forest where mist lingers longer in the mornings, and navigation requires agility and precision. The rivers here are often thinner, but more wild with faster waters in many of the places. Their training area is a clear patch of forest where the ground is soft and a fallen log and tree stumps provide a boundary.
Their camp is nestled up, and along the side of a hill that inclines sharply, with pathways between and going up its walls. The dens nestle close together, with the Leaders den above inside a fallen tree root system, the medicine cat below in the same system. The dens are in a mixture of burrows and makeshift nests in the brush, some nests in the jagged hill walls. Outside the nests they have a spacious area for sharing tongues and meetings, protected by thick foliage and the numerous rocks.
Their territory is marked by a sheer cliff drop to the east, an uncross able river to the north, the two-legs to the south, and their border with Dawnclan.

 CURRENT EVENTS
Two-legs are in the territory!
Currently due to the nice weather, two-legs have been more prevalent than normal, walking along the paths that trace between both clans.
Though they often leave cats alone, the threat of dogs and scared prey is high.

NEWS

CLUES

Sootpaw | Duskclan Apprentice | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Training Valley | Mentions: Owlfeather(direct), Fernfoot(indirect)

Sootpaw quickly got to his paws to show no real damage had been done. "I'm fine, of course!" he said, still miffed. His anger, however, was slowly being replaced with a mix of worry and curiosity as he watched Owlfeather react to the sound of the mysterious yowls. Lowering his voice, he repeated the question. "So, what is it?" Sootpaw had never heard such a creature before. Or, if he had, he had no recollection of what it could be.
The small cat looked over at Fernfoot, whom he had only just noticed. Well, if it was anything serious, at least there were three of them to take care of it. Sootpaw's gaze returned to his mentor, searching for guidance and awaiting instruction.

Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy|Siamese She-Cat|Location: Training Valley|Mention(s) Directly: Sootpaw|Mention(s) Indirectly: Blackstar

Two-legs, why where they so close? Especially now that most of the cats were out, somewhere in Duskclan's territory. The she-cats tail twitches, as she heard Sootpaws. Looking down at her apprentice, the deputy let out a sigh, "Two-Legs, that's the sound of two-legs far too close to camp", Owlfeather answered solemnly. Sitting down the she-cat wrapped her tail around herself, her eyes intently staring at the boundaries of the training area.
Where were the sounds coming from? and how many were there? The deputy wondered. Worry was gnawing at her chest, if two-legs were this close to camp.... Where there dogs? The sudden thought brock into the she-cats mind. Should she go and investigate? or report back to Blackstar?

Scorchwing | Warrior of DawnClan | Long-Limbed White & Charcoal Female | Location: DawnClan Territory | Mentions: Flamepaw [Direct]

Spotting the younger cat slink from her den, she sat up straighter, knowing she had to keep her good impression, despite any comfort that might spring from familiarity. She watched as excitement seemed to prompt her into moving even before she had opened her mouth. With a chuckle, she lifted herself fluidly upon able paws, giving the young cat a friendly bump of her head. “Well, I was thinking maybe we should work on where you think you’re lacking.” She started, gazing down upon the bright she-cat. She did want to be a good mentor, truly. Mentors were the building blocks of a good Clan, responsible for teaching the young and providing able and dedicated warriors. Of course, she had doubts within herself, so her next words felt rather hypocritical.

“Confidence is very important to a cat, as long as it’s true confidence. False bravado and arrogance will get you nowhere. Unless it’s on the other end of someone’s claws.” She turned, gently sweeping her tail along her apprentice’s flank as she began to guide her out of camp, gradually coming to a fork in the worn paths, one taking them to the training beach, the other leading deeper into the forest. She turned to give the she-cat her full attention. “We will work on where you feel to be lacking. Confidence in one’s self goes a long, long way. And I want you to be confident in your own abilities more than anything.” With a gentle smile, she waited patiently, knowing how much Flamepaw had a knack for thinking things through. She didn’t doubt the apprentice had gauged her own abilities from her observant character.

Harepaw | Apprentice of DuskClan | Small, Hickory & Cream Female | Location: DuskClan Territory | Mentions: Redeye [Direct], Dustpelt [Indirect]

Harepaw nearly snorted. Obviously it was, though she couldn’t really find it in her to get angry at Dustpelt. She was a new apprentice, just as he was a new mentor. They both had somethings to get used to. Doesn’t mean she wouldn’t give him a tongue lashing if she were able. Maybe, if she were petty enough, she’d wait for her warrior ranking to give him such sharp words. Redeye’s other words caught her off guard, plunging her back into the conversation rather than imagining what words she’d have with him. “Well… well I’m not just gonna sit around and be lazy, just waiting for him to return!” She nearly flared up at the older cat. She knew the consequences. She had run them through her head about as many times as she was able, perhaps as many times as there were stars in the sky. “And besides, I think if I can outsmart and outrun a few mutts, I think I can handle some stinky, drooling DawnClan cats.” With a disgruntled huff, she ran a soothing tongue down her downy-soft chest, pouting childishly.

A second later, she had picked up on his intent, only to lift her head and shoot him a knowing glare just as he began to speak once more, casual and idly as if he lost the motive within seconds. What a strange, strange cat… With a simple shake of her head to thrust herself back into a focused mindset, she lifted herself nimbly to her paws with a simple, cheery bounce that seemed to strange to see from a pouting cat. “You better not be leading me onto a goose chase, Redeye! I will smite you!” She called as she bounded after him like a doe through the greenery. Why fate, why did it have to be this one? Guess he is a bit better than the dogs…

Sootpaw | Duskclan Apprentice | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Training Valley | Mentions: Open

Sootpaw's eyes widened and, for a heartbeat, he felt very young and afraid. The moment passed, however, and the cat managed to compose himself. "Twolegs", he repeated softly to himself. Sootpaw wondered where they were exactly, as it was a bit hard to tell from here. He also wondered if they'd actually see the tall creatures he had heard about, and the guilty curiosity began to creep back up again. He would greatly prefer to see them from afar with no danger to the camp, of course, but still. If Sootpaw was given the chance to get a glimpse of one, he'd likely take it.
After all, he reasoned with himself, I really should find out what they're like at some point. So there's nothing wrong with wanting to get a little experience, right? ...Sootpaw realized there was no point in trying to convince himself; He was already sold on the idea of seeing a Twoleg as soon as possible. But, if he were directed to steer clear of them, he knew he would have to oblige, albeit begrudgingly.
Sootpaw, too, sat on the soft ground and continued to listen, and wondered how one would even go about getting rid of a Twoleg...

Fernfoot|Duskclan|worrior|white tom|Location: Training Valley| mentions open owlfeather, sootpaw

He finished his meal as he watch the two, it seemed OwlFeather was teaching him stalking or ambush. As he watched he heard the faint sounds of two legs drift on the wind his head swivled so fast, that one may think his head would spin off, towards where he thought the sound came from. As he looked back to the two in the valley he saw owl lash her tail as she looked up in his direction. Fern was pretty sure she was beckining him over so he stood and quickly trotted down the hill. His fur and whiskers pulled in the wind as he ran.

Stopping immediately as he was inches from his deputy. His pelt flying forwards the settled back to its original position. He assumed he was summoned down due to the noises witch he could still hear standing in the valley seeming slightly closer then when he was at the top of the hill. Fern lowered his head in respect be for he spoke "I hear it to" he said casting his dark amber gaze towards the trendline once more. He then spoke towards sootpaw "yes its two legs, ive lived around them half my life" he told the young kit. Agreeing with OwlFeather

(May be a little short sorry I'm at work)

Flamepaw|Dawnclan|Apprentice|Ginger She-Cat|Location: Territory|Mention(s) Directly: Sorchwing|Mention(s) Indirectly: Foxpaw

The tabby ginger she-cat nodded her head, as Scorchwing started to speak. She appreciated that her mentor was trying to sound confident, the young she-cat would rather have a mentor who taught and acted like Scorchwing, then one who acted all snobby. Only when her mentor sweeped her tail over her shoulder, did the young she-cat realize that Scorchwing had started to head out of camp. Quickly catching up, the young she-cat listened carefully to her mentors words.
Thinking for a few paces on the things that she still needed to practice, Flamepaw almost tripped over a rock. Catching her balance before it was to late, a slight blush came to the apprentices face. Shaking the embarrassment off, Flamepaw cleared her throat, "Well", she began, "I have been pretty confident with the battle moves that you have shown me, but....", Flamepaw paused for a moment, searching for the words. "I have not been very confident with my swimming skills, my long and thick pelt always drags me down and I don't know how to fight it. Whenever I jump into the water, I always feel like I am going to drown", the young ginger she-cat confessed. Flamepaw looked down at her paws, normally she would not be so open with her concerns, but if it would help her to become a better warrior, maybe just this once she could admit this flaw. Flamepaw looked up at Scorchwing and continued, "I would also like to work on catching fish, those stupid scaly and slimy things always slip through my paws", the she-cat said, a scowl on her face. She probably looked a lot like Foxpaw right now and here she was always teasing her littermate on her ever scowling face, while Flamepaw was now doing it herself. Letting her fluffy tail swish on the ground behind her, as they walked, the she-cat waited for her mentors response. Flamepaw's white tail tip twitched, as a small song bird settled on a branch over head.

Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy|Siamese She-Cat|Location: Training Valley|Mention(s) Directly: Sootpaw, Fernfoot|Mention(s) Indirectly: Two legs

A slight growl came from the deputy's chest, her claws digging into the ground Owlfeather stood up. Turning to her apprentice and Fernfoot the she-cat said, "We will go investigate, we need to see where they are and where they are going." Quickly heading up the small rise, the siamese she-cat started to look around. Her eyes were not able to spot any sign of the two legs, looking back at Sootpaw, the mentor directed, "I want you to stick by my side, two legs can be unpredictable." Slowly the deputy started to head deeper into the woods surrounding the training area, her nose and ears pricked for any sound of the two legs.
Stopping next to a large pine tree she looked up it, maybe.... Looking back at the white tom at her side, she started, "We could probably see something from up there, how good of a climber are you?", Owlfeather asked. The deputy could climb well enough, but she was not keen on leaving her apprentice alone on the ground. She had only been able to teach Sootpaw the basics of climbing a tree.

Sootpaw | Duskclan Apprentice | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Training Valley | Mentions: Owlfeather(direct), Fernfoot(indirect)

Sootpaw nodded seriously and followed Owlfeather, being sure to stay by her side as he had been instructed. As they walked, Sootpaw's eyes darted left and right, scouring their surroundings for any sign of anything tall and, well, walking on two legs. All he really saw as they passed the edge of the wide and empty training valley were leaves, trees, and birds in the trees. Nothing out of the ordinary so far.
Sootpaw halted beside his mentor as she came to a stop near a tall pine. He, too, gazed up at it's high branches, and almost felt dizzy in doing so. The young cat was a bit relieved when Owlfeather turned her question on Fernfoot. Starclan knows Sootpaw wouldn't have enjoyed the task of scaling this thing, no matter what answers lie up there. Sootpaw again eyed their surroundings carefully while waiting for the pale tom to give Owlfeather her answer.

Fernfoot|Duskclan|worrior|white tom|Location: Training Valley| mentions open owlfeather, sootpaw

He fallowed behind the two once owlfeather started to move towards the treeline. He wasn't as concerned with the two legs as it seemed most cat were and it showed in his lazy and loose gate.as he walked. Scanning the area as he did however as it can be a threat if these two legs had kits with them. They loved grabbing at fluffy little things. He knew if they did the first thing they'd go after is sootpaw as he was the smallest of the treo.

Once owl stopped I'm from of a pine he looked up as she spoke and directed a question at him " I'm not the best climber but I could scale this tree, well mos likely" he said as he placed his paw on the base of the tree feeling the rough grooves of the bark that would make climbing a bit easier.

Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy|Siamese She-Cat|Location: Training Valley|Mention(s) Directly: Sootpaw, Fernfoot|Mention(s) Indirectly: Two legs

Owlfeather gave the white tom a look, he did not seem to confidant about climbing up the tree. Giving another glance up the tree, Owlfeather stepped forward. "I'll go up instead then", the deputy said. She was confident in her climbing skills and she did not want the tom risking his neck, if he was not confident enough. "You both stay down here and see if you can find a trace of the two legs", Owlfeather directed.
Looking up at the tree again, the she-cat dug her claws into the bark. Pulling herself up with a hard tug, Owlfeather started to climb up the tree. Reaching the first branch, the deputy pulled herself up to it. From this branch she was easily able to jump to the next one up, from there the climbing went esear. Soon enough Owlfeather reached the top of the tree, standing on a sturdu branch the she-cat looked around the area. Her eyes scanning the surrounding Duskclan territory, Owlfeather tied to find any trace of the two legs.

Sootpaw | Duskclan Apprentice | 13 moons | Small, gray tabby tom | Location: Training Valley | Mentions: Owlfeather(direct), Fernfoot(indirect), Twolegs(indirect)

Sootpaw paused to watch Owlfeather begin her ascent up the tall tree before turning away, keeping watch for anything Twoleg-y. He could still hear their cries, but still saw no sign of them. Were they harder to see than he thought? Though he tried, the apprentice still couldn't scent them. Sootpaw flicked his tail, a bit annoyed. If Twolegs were so big, loud, and mouse-brained, how could they even make it this far into Duskclan territory without tripping into the lake first, let alone without being discovered the second they set paw into the woods?
Sootpaw decided that, if the wind was going to be so bothersome today, he'd just have to focus on sight and sound. Although, even the calls of these creatures were tossed around in the air and were difficult to pinpoint. Sootpaw began to slowly circle the tree, giving it a wide berth. Senses focused, he hoped for the best.

 Events!

 Even for: Sootpaw, Owlfeather, Fernfoot

From the tree's, you can just see flashes of the lake through the branches. Skirting this south eastern edge, two two-legs are walking near its shore, calling loudly into the forest. They seem to be heading towards the two-leg paths and nesting site towards the south, but are off the trail for now. Something is glinting off them, but from the distance its too difficult to tell if its just a reflection or not.

Owlfeather|Duskclan|Deputy|Siamese She-Cat|Location: Training Valley|Mention(s) Directly: Sootpaw, Fernfoot|Mention(s) Indirectly: Two legs

Owlfeather's gaze stopped, as it swept over the lakes bank. The she-cat could only spy parts of the lake edge, through the branches and needles of the tree. She was certain that she had seen something though. Narrowing her focus on the water's edge, two shapes came into focus. They were definitely two legs, even from this distance the she-cat could accurately place their shapes.
The deputy watched them for a few moments, as she did a harsh gleem reflected off the two legs. Strange. When she was still a rouge, living near the two leg places, the she-cat had often encountered two legs, but never had she seen that strange light coming from them. They were heading back to the two leg places, still it was worth investigating.
Getting up from her lying position on her branch, Owlfeather looked down towards the ground. A normal cat might feel queasy at the sight, but to Owlfeather it was an exhilarating view. Digging her claws into the rough barck under paw, the she-cat started to come down. Jumping from branch to branch where possible and climbing the larger distances, by clinging to the trunk. With in a few heartbeats the siamese deputy was on firm ground again, liking a slight scratch a branch had made on her shoulder. Looking at the small gray and larger white tom infront of her, the deputy reported, "I spotted a pair of two legs by the lake, they are heading for the twoleg place. I want to go see what they are up too, they are not sticking to the usual paths their kind take this time of season", the deputy said, getting up Owlfeather started to head in the direction of the two legs.

Weaselflight | DuskClan Warrior | 21 Moons | Tom | Camp | Dustpelt; Harepaw; Redeye

Weaselflight's fur rose slightly when Dustpelt mentioned twolegs. It was true, the smell... it was definitely something that smelled like his h-... FORMER home. He had to mentally correct himself about halfway through the thought, pulled back for a moment to the shivering apprentice he had been just a few moons back. He had craved those familiar sights, those familiar scents, and yet now... now he was repulsed by this. Had he really changed? He had missed even the most foul of smells that came from twoleg place, the ugly scents his people had thrown in the air to cover the smell of themselves, the fragrant and choking smell of the monsters, even the stench of an uncleaned litterbox.

The more he thought about it though, the less he wanted to go back. His ears tipped to the side slightly when Dustpelt mentioned company. He carefully straightened himself up, forcing his fluffy fur to lay back, and posed himself to meet the newcomers. He smiled weakly when he heard Harepaw's small voice piping up angrily above the brush.

"You better not be leading me onto a goose chase, Redeye! I will smite you!"

"She's got sp-spite," the young tom informed his friend lowly, "you're really in for the long h-haul aren't you?" He waited patiently for the two cats to break from the forest and meet them.
Better safe than sorry

Larkclaw
15 Moons || Female || DawnClan Warrior
Location: Clan Border || Mentions: Hornetpaw, Foxpaw

Larkclaw held back a sigh. There was plenty of tension between the two Clans, and the sights and sounds of the two-legs only brought more of it. She had no doubt that sooner or later, a patrol would come by and catch Foxpaw’s scent on the rocks, and then a messenger was sure to find their way into DawnClan’s camp demanding an explanation, or even declare war. It was bad enough that the two-legs might wander near enough to camp to cause panic… and two-leg kits are as curious as any kit, following strange or loud noises. A fight would draw too much attention right now.

“Very well,” the tabby she-cat replied. “We’ll stop by to pick up your prey. I have prey a little closer to here, we’ll go by there, too.” Larkclaw gave Foxpaw a glance as a way of silently telling her to stick with them. Even though Foxpaw was nearing her warrior assessment, it wasn’t good for her to be this close to the border alone.

As the three headed in the direction of Larkclaw’s kills, she opened her mouth to speak only for a strange scent to pass in front of her nose. Her muzzle wrinkled and she lowered her chin, tongue slightly hanging out to draw the scent over the Jacobson’s organ in the roof of her mouth. A few moments of breathing the scent in deep told her that it smelled of blood, but something else lingered beneath that she couldn’t quite place. Her fur began to bristle as she turned to Hornetpaw and Foxpaw.

“Do you smell that?” she asked. “It smells like blood. I can’t make out if it’s a cat’s or what, but I think we should take a look to make sure no one is hurt. I think--” she paused to catch which direction the scent was coming from “--that it’s coming from that way.”

Fernfoot|Duskclan|worrior|white tom|Location: Training Valley| mentions open owlfeather, sootpaw
fern watched as owl scaled the tree almost amazed how she did it so gracefully once she was out of sight he turned his eyes too the horizon scanning the nearby area as he couldn't smell the two legs due to the winds of the day. his tail laid lazily a whisker from the earthy ground, he wasn't on high alert as the two legs still sounded far off.

keeping his amber orbs scanning he sat next to soot as he waited for the deputy to report back. he thought of starting up a conversation the small kit next to him but, he hasn't delt much with kits to know how or what to talk to them about. so he stayed silent as he watched the scenery a head. it would of been quite peaceful to just lay here under the trees as light danced between the needles of the pines. but with the possible threat that loomed over their territory, that would have to wait another day. just as that thought had passed owl land on the ground making him jump slightly as he was not expecting the she-cat to appear so suddenly.

quickly fern composed himself as he stood and turned the owlfeather as she expressed wanting to go check out the two legs that she saw when she was above in the trees. "sounds like a fun adventure" fern expressed as his tail raised from its rested position. the tom loved exploring and it showed in his face and body stance. " but you didn't see and two legs kits did you?" he questioned, once again looking towards Sootpaw a bit worried for his safety.
