"maybe they want the strength and power of others because they are afraid of something, I have my doubts about it being the winter that worries them now" Banshee Whispers. "I think they should be more careful though because a larger pack will be harder to manage" She says.

"I guess you are right, I'll apologise to her in a little while" Sol says. Sol looked at Kai and listened to what she said. "Are you afraid this pack is at risk of attack? If that's the case if the Alpha was smart, they'd attack in winter when most packs are vulnerable, if that time comes I'll give my all to make sure you lot get through this I owe your parents a lot and I'll do anything to repay that, you are all family to me now and I'd hate to see any one of you get hurt" Sol said.

“Who knows what they’re thinking. Maybe we’re getting ahead of ourselves, Dakota and Ahanu are crazy loyal. They could just be following Nanook’s lead,” Matsi added. He didn’t like speaking out against his dad, and he wanted to believe they would keep the pack informed of plans, like they always had.

“Not necessarily,” Kai responded. “Ahanu’s old pack is from the mountains. When he was a pup they had talked about moving to main ground, since the winters aren’t as harsh. That was years ago so we all figured they decided not too, but every year I worry they may decide to come here.” Kai was looking at the little bit she could see if the far away mountain range. It was a few days away, and she couldn’t see the peaks through the thick clouds.

“They’re big wolves. When Ahanu and Dakota left there were 30 of them in the pack. They do anything to survive. The way Ahanu speaks of them, they’re viscous. In a way they do what they can to keep the family alive, but only select family members. Ahanu used to tell me stories of how each mother would bring her newborn pups in front of the alpha, and any he didn’t dean worthy would be killed.”

"Well right now Nanook runs this pack so we just have to trust that he knows what he is doing, if something bad happens then we will deal with that when it happens and if we need larger numbers my mother has ways of rallying packs she has ties to, no sense in worrying about what could be going on or why they are being so weird but if it's worrying you so much I'll go talk to him" Banshee offers. Banshee wasn't afraid of Nanook but she did respect his position as Alpha.

Sol looked at Kai and smiled. "they maybe vicious strong wolves but Its nothing new for me, I took on Turbo's pack because they killed my parents I never told anyone about it even Turbo never knew, I tore into as many of them as I could before I was chased away, I got my revenge on his pack though and watched that pack destroy its self from a distance, the point I'm trying to say is any pack no matter how big or strong can easily be broken if you know where to hit it, War is a nasty thing but you can survive anything if you know how to do it right, if it comes to war I'll make sure your pack is safe just trust me on that, I've paid the price for my actions before and I'll do it again if it means your pack makes it out alright" Sol says.

“No, that’s fine. He’s my dad, if I need to talk to him I will,” Tamaska said, looking in Nanook’s direction who was sitting far away with Dakota. “I’m just hurt they still haven’t let me join them...” Tamaska hung his head slightly as he said this.

“Tamaska, out of all of the brothers you’re the most likely to take over for dad. You’ll be able to join them soon, when they think you’re ready,” Matsi said, trying to reassure his brother.

“Thank you, Sol. But regardless, that’d be Ahanu and Dakota’s mother and father we’d be trying to kill. I’m sure once there was a time that didn’t bother them at all, but they’ve changed. I don’t think they’d handle it well..” Kai said this quietly. She knew they didn’t like talking about their family. “Don’t get me wrong, they’ll do anything to protect us, but it would be extremely difficult with the morals they have now,” Kai explained.

"Kato was meant to take over our pack, when it was still a possibility even though he seems like a lazy goof ball he was the preferred choice, I would offer him for advice but he is gone" Banshee says. "you seem to be the leading type Tamaska but don't worry I'm sure your father would let you join in soon enough" Banshee tries to reassure Tamaska as well.

"usually I have good morals, I'm sorry if I've given you the wrong impression, I will always try to sort confrontation out in a civilized way first before I deal with it in a savage way, I'm just saying if the good way doesn't work you have other options, I wouldn't want to hurt or upset Dakota and Ahanu as they are part of the pack" Sol says. "I'm still in a little bit of a dark mood so sorry about the way I've been acting and the things I've said" Sol adds.

“Thank, Banshee,” Tamaska responded. “I think I’ll go talk to him about being let in on meetings.” As Tamaska stood up and turned towards Nanook, he saw Ahanu, Dakota, Anoki, and Nanook quietly leaving the clearing and heading towards the frozen waterfall.

For a second, Tamaska stopped, but then he decided to join them anyway. He jogged a bit, and once he arrived at the waterfall, they were all sitting in the circle on the rocks.

They all turned to look at him and he stood there silently.

“Hello Tamaska,” Nanook greeted. Tamaska said nothing. Every part of him wanted to turn around and leave. He felt embarassed, like he’d stumbled upon something he shouldn’t have. Just as his foot stepped backwards, he held his head Hugh and walked forwards instead, sitting between Ahanu and his father.

Nanook watched for a moment, but said nothing.

“No of course, I wasn’t offended at all. If they ended up coming here, based on what I know, killing them would be the smartest option. It would just be hard to do so for Ahanu and Dakota. For that reason I pray they don’t come,” Kai explained. “They’d have a hard time killing them because it’s blood relatives, if they weren’t related it’d be no problem at all.”

Banshee watched Tamaska go before turning to Matsi. Banshee thought for a moment and sighed. "Matsi will we have to break away from your pack when the winter is over?" Banshee asked. "I think my mother will be moving on after winter, she has told me she wants to start her own pack again but she will have to find a Mate so she may need to leave the area, I'm just worried that she will stay because of me" Banshee says.

"if they do come then Dakota and Ahanu don't have to be the ones to kill their parents, I understand it will be hard infact I'm sure they will feel how Banshee felt, as cruel as Turbo was he was still her father and she helped kill him, so if anyone would understand them then it will be her, but if everything goes well we won't need to worry about them coming down here" Sol says.
