because there's no other way gameplay-wise I can think of to implement body types without way too much extra coding work, I think having fat lions would be a cute mutation to breed for. Perhaps a less-rare mutation, or still rare but passable, as obesity is a genetic predisposition. chunky lions wouldn't feel like hunting, and, if it wouldn't be too much of a pain in the ass to implement, lose hunger double as fast as vanilla lions. Perhaps in lionesses it looks a little bit like the pregnant pose, or just use the pregnant pose outright if Xylax doesn't feel like drawing a new one lmao. For males, it'd be neat to have an actual sitting pose. Adding some heft to the current models would be okay too, but not ideal as Xylax's new stuff is much, much better. a little exaggerated cause my drawings bad atm, but you get the idea for males :) let me know what you guys think or what you would do with a hefty lion! I would make a Danny DeLeo. |

No support for other reasons stated above. Unlike mutations such as dwarfism, deaf, blind, etc, those are things a lion/human cannot control! It's something that just happens and nobody can stop. And although there can be certain genetics that makes weight gain more prominent/make loosing weight harder, that seems to very rarely ever be the case. Most of the time overweight animals/people is self inflicted, whether we want to admit it or not, and by the supporters going "uwu fat chungus!" really ffing concerns me. Implementing this for the reason of it being "cute" just adds to the problem, encourages people to overfeed and abuse their animals because "Lioden says fat animal cute, so it must be okay!" Awareness is one thing, but people seem to want this for the wrong reasons. Realism aside, I can see this further damaging real life problems with the overweight animal trend, which is absolutely disgusting. Animals aren't MADE to be fat! They are made to run to either chase their prey, or run away if they ARE the prey. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I'd honestly prefer it to be lethal/semi lethal. For example after the age of, say 4, the lion would have an incereasing chance of passing away. So they could theoretically live 15 years but it would need a lot of luck. Or a jellyfish could be used. I don't really want "cute chunky lions" because NO, obesity isn't cute, it's a health problem. Not a mutation either but I understand it would need to be marked as mutation in order to be possible to implement. But if it was implemented I would prefer it to be realistic. A lion that doesn't hunt or do anything other than lying in one spot all day will die pretty quickly, either from health complications or because their pridemates would chase them away from food, since they do nothing to help the pride. No support right now, but will be following this thread to see how the discussion goes. 0 players like this post! Like? |

You don't need it to be a mutation, it doesn't need to have gameplay that's insulting to real people. You can just ask for a pose that makes lions look fat 0 players like this post! Like? |
