OOc Thread Here! In a time of Great Sorrow, the land of Pyrrhia is thrown into turmoil....The assassination of two of Pyrrhia's dragon queens has sent the land into turmoil. An assassin on behalf of the former NightWing queen slaughtered both the RainWing and the SandWing queens - hungry for power, the SkyWings and Mudwings allied with the Nightwings in the Queen's quest for more power, fighting against the Seawings, Sandwings, RainWings, and Icewings.. The bloodthirsty NightWing queen's reign ended with her death, but the damage had already been done; the war rages on. Hybrids are being slaughtered left and right, eggs are being stolen from hatcheries; every dragon lives in fear as the bloodiest war in Pyrrhia's history wages outside their homes. Meanwhile, there have been reports of scavengers killing more and more dragons each year - the creatures they had never imagined as a threat were starting to fight back against them. Desperate to save her land, her tribe, and her lover, an icewing/seawing hybrid, Queen Bermuda sought the help of a Nightwing seer. He foretold that only seven hatchlings, one from each tribe, could help unite the seven dragon tribes and bring peace to the land. How, however, he could not say - and so, driven to exhaustion, Queen Bermuda stole an egg from the hatchery of each kingdom and hid them in a secret place. She can only hope that the seer had been right- she is close to death, and the land she so desperately loves is close to going up in flames...… -------------------------- Rules-You can have as many characters as you like, provided that you can roleplay with them all. If you make one and then decide you don't want to use them anymore, we can find a way to remove them from the roleplay (ex: killing the character, chasing them off, etc.) -Please no animus characters. :) -Please ask before designating any characters as a princess, king, or anything similar if the tribe already has a queen. Please ask the person in question who is playing the queen. :) -The roleplay will start when we have all the prophecy dragonets. You can have more than one. -Be nice! :) Anyone is allowed to join this roleplay as long as you follow this rule. ((@Light Stars, if you need somebody to fill you in, please ask in the OOC thread. :) i'd prefer roleplaying to be the only thing here. Anything else clutters the thread up.)) Starchaser shot up as he watched Scorpion leave. "Fuck." He growled, shaking his head and pacing as he watched him leave. "So what? You're just going to be a coward and leave? Did you ever really care about anything but yourself? Fool!" He roared after him, continuing to pace. "This entire day has been nothing but a disaster." He snarled, flopping down on the ground, both emotionally and physically exhausted. Bermuda came running out of the room as fast as she could on her stiff legs, greeted by the site of Scorpion leaving the cave. She couldn't say a word. She just sat down, staring blanky out into the distance. First she loses the Seawing egg. Now she loses another dragon. She shuddered. I thought I could do this with six. I can't with five. "We have no hope now." She murmured. Solstice was standing beside her, staring into the sky. "Let him go. If he dies, that's what he gets for being stubborn." Solstice spat. Bermuda knew she didn't really mean that, but she was angry. Everyone was angry. Except Bermuda. She was just.....tired. Starchaser stared at Bermuda, bewildered. He had never seen her so lost before. She had never given up hope. She seemed to be now. "We can still do this, Bermuda. I will still do this. For you." Bermuda gave him and weak smile as she watched Torch leave. Starchaser followed, worried that she might be leaving after Scorpion, but he was greeted by the sight of her angrily taking her rage out on a tree. He smiled sadly, seating himself on a rock. Bermuda seemed to relax when she watched Scorpion return. She had just overreacted. They all did. She sighed, standing up and making her way towards him before sitting beside him. She didn't say anything - she didn't really think words would suffice at the moment, but she figured that if he wanted to speak, he could. Instead, she looked out at the sea, watching the light of the setting sun sparkling across the waves. Solstice sighed, returning to Hurricane, who was busy tending to Blizzard's wounds. She wasn't one for drama. She had to leave soon, anyways. She would stay for a bit longer, but her kingdom needed her. The Seawing kingdom needed Bermuda, too. She returned back to Bermuda, jerking her snout towards the entrance of the cave. "I must leave, Bermuda." "I know. Good luck on the flight back, my friend." She dipped her head with respect. Solstice sighed. "I don't believe in prophecies, but...if anyone can make this happen, it's you." Her words comforted the old dragon. "Thank you, Solstice. I'll return to my own kingdom. In time." She murmured, looking back out across the sea. Solstice watched her for a moment before nodding and taking off, heading out to sea before banking left and disappearing from sight, heading back to the Icewing kingdom. Starchaser smiled, making his way towards Torch. "You did good. If it wasn't for you, Blizzard would be in far worse condition than he is now. Your level-headedness literally saved him, yeah? Abyss swam quickly and efficiently in the dark depths she called home, front legs and hind legs pressed together to make her slimmer and more hydrodynamic, something she had seen other scaly beasts do to move more efficiently closer to the surface. The dark dragonet was on the hunt for food as she swam through the ceaseless darkness. Even after years of living here, Abyss still had some trouble relying only on her eyes to find her way to food. Luckily, she picked up a few tricks from some sleek fish with holes on their heads, they emitted sounds to help find their way, feeling slight vibrations through the water to feel for abnormalities in a usually boringly similar sea. Abyss began to make a sound somewhere in between a click and a short, low-pitched growl, feeling for the the discrepancy that squid often cause when swimming through the sound vibrations. Abyss swam on, continuing to admit these weird sounds, slowly swaying her head side to side to get a larger area that was 'searched' by the sound. Eventually, she felt the vibration return to her, food. She picked up the pace and made a beeline for the direction of the feeling, her powerful tail propelling her along. She didn't actually see the squid until she was almost on top of it. Her mouth flashed open quickly, the golden scales shimmering as she did so and giving the squid the only bit of warning it would receive before she fastened her fangs into the soft flesh of the squid. Blood weeped from the opening wounds and the squid tried desperately to free itself, tentacles waving and ink being ejected into Abyss' mouth, not her favorite taste, but one she would endure if it meant food. Abyss continued swimming forward, leaving a trail of blood and ink, thrashing her head from side to side, making larger and larger tears in the squid's body before it went still save for the motion of drifting with the current. The dragonet ate quickly, never stopping so as to keep sharks from showing up to see if they could nick a bite. The squid was gone quickly, and the sharp pangs of hunger were dulled.
