Here's my character sheet/intro!

It is a moonlit night. Countless stars are weaving their way in the dark sky above you and your footsteps leave small dents in the dry grass behind you as you walk toward a lone tree. An owl calls from somewhere.
A deep, kind voice makes you spin around.

"Hello. You look... lost. May I help you?"

It is a lion king. He has a thick, dark brown mane, swept back by an evening breeze. He walks towards you slowly, then sits down. You notice that he has a strong-looking paler body. Highlighting his noble features, he his long, wide paws are white and his muzzle looks as though it was dipped in paint. His gold eyes eye you kindly, waiting for your reply.

The light of the moon highlighted the black lion pelt. His large build was littered with scars and persistent cub marks that stayed despite his older age. The male’s large mane almost seemed to be glowing as a gray halo from the light, as he moved towards the lone tree. A voice broke the silence of the night. The dark lion let out a startled sound, whipping around to spot another. His orange eyes surveyed the pale lion, taking in his appearance but still being wary. Before he could speak, his white stomach answered for him. Letting out a rumble.

“Help would be wonderful about now? Know any food spots?”, his voice rang out, too loud again in the quiet. “My name is Ahmen, and you are?”

The lion lifts his head and smiles kindly.

"Lunar, it's my pleasure to meet you, Ahmed."

Lunar slowly walks over to Ahmed and calmly sits down next to him.

"Would you mind telling me something about yourself?"

Ahmen didn't know the guy well enough but who would give up an opportunity to talk? With pleasure! Knowing they might be here for a while he laid on a more comfortable position on his side. "Well I grew up in a pride really far from here, much colder than here. I had to leave. Something about I was old enough now, taking up space, and a threat to the king's manliness...Whatever that means. He let out an irritated huff. "So I've been on my own living the nomad life. Meeting new people and joining small groups until we disband. Ahmen paused for a second, a sorrowful look in his eye but it was gone in a flash.

"And what bout you Lunar? Who are you?"

Lunar eyes wander, tracing a path through the scarce trees and bushes in the area.

"I have always looked up yo my older brother Scipio and when he left to start his own pride... things just weren't the same anymore. I decided to leave and follow in his footsteps."

Although Lunar eyes watered slightly while talking, his eyes seemed to shine and a content smile lay on his lips as he finished speaking.

The dark lion nodded his head in listening. He could understand the the feeling of a place no longer feeling like home. It took guts to go out and follow your heart. "So where's your pride now?". A quick glance and discreet sniff told that no one was in proximity. Other than the small bugs buzzing and crawling about but that was a given.

Lunar's eyes briefly looked left, and he moved his paws closer towards his body and wrapped his tail tightly around his paws.

"Errrmmm... so... uh..."

He wanted to look good in front of the younger male - maybe they could even become friends. For a few seconds, silence hung in the air. Finally Lunar turned his gaze towards the sky, unable to meet Ahmen's eyes.
Then he whispered quietly:

"Uhh... I... uh... don't really have one yet."

Ahmen watched the slightly curl into himself. The pale king seemed a bit smaller; literally and figuratively. Now Lunar wasn't even looking at hime. There was no time for sadness, life was fleeting and deserved to be enjoyed at every moment. He's lived long enough to know that.

"Aw buddy! It's all right, these things take time!". Ahmen headbutt the other in consolation. Though he did it a bit aggressive, nearly toppling over onto Lunar.

He hasn't known the lion that long, but from his voice and demeanor Lunar seemed genuine. He knew what he had to.

"Hey, what if joined you?", he shouted. He's been in worser positions before and this was by far not even close to the worse. It was time to find a new home anyway.

"Really?!"

Lunar shakes his head and paws and gets up his tail swiftly moving from side to side, his face beaming.
He chuckles.

"To be honest, I didn't really know how to start a pride - but I hope I can learn!"

Lunar liked Ahmen allot - he seemed like a smart and brave lion. And he was very nice too! He even wanted to be part of Lunar's pride!

"Hey, do you want to be friends?"

Tumble shook out her fur, rising from where she had been crouched on the hilltop. Another day with only small prey to sustain herself was growing tiresome. Perhaps she'd have some better luck down in that valley, where it would be easier to stage an ambush in the thick bush cover. If she got lucky, there might even be a kill stashed somewhere nearby. Wandering down the slope, keeping herself close to the ground, she was surprised to hear voices. A couple of lions, be the sound of it. Sniffing the air, Tumble realized that they were both males. A coalition, perhaps? It would likely be better to avoid them, but their chatter had probably scared off any prey long before she got there.

Keeping low, Tumble continued into the valley, her sights set on the two males. They seemed to be getting along well enough, so Tumble allowed herself to focus on finding prey. A small weasel might be the best she got tonight, but maybe those males had a pride she could join. If they were still there when she finished her meal, she would go introduce herself.

Lunar ears twitch.

"Sh."

He closes his eyes and turns his head to sniff the breeze - picking up on the faint but definite smell of a lioness. He slowly gets up and quints his eyes to get a closer look. The female has pale fur - but that's about all he can tell. HE turns his head over his shoulder towards where his friend sits - still thinking of an answer.

"Ahmen, do you happen to know who that is?"

Tumble doesn't notice that the lions are now looking at her, but she definitely notices when they stop talking. Slowly sinking to the ground, she makes sure her pale, golden fur was laying flat along her spine, and the antelope calf she had been tearing into was stashed beneath a bush. She still couldn't be sure if the two males were a threat, so she kept relatively hidden, her only movement being the tip of her tail, which was twitching slowly. Would she be able to fight them off, if it came to it?

Ahmen couldn't help the grin forming on his face from his new friend and pride member excitement. "Of course, duh. We're going to be spending time together".

Watching Lunar attention shift, he took a more readying stance. Ears strained to pick up any disturbances his new king may have heard. Following the pale male gaze, he too notices. The shine of pale gold hidden amongst the greenery. This was becoming interesting with more lions appearing. It made sense given the time of day.

Focusing his attention on the lion, he did a once over. Taking in the scents in hope of discovering something. From the metallic smell of a kill, Ahmen stomach gave a rumble. Oh right, he was hungry but his priorities shifted with the appearance of Lunar. Maybe the other would be kind enough to share their meal. Though he figured his chances were slim, no one liked to share. But crazier things have happened.

Taking in the lioness low position, she seemed on edge. "Hey!!!", he yelled out. "I'm Ahmen and that's Lunar, we aren't a threat". Hopefully that introduction would be enough to win her over. "I'm also very hungry at the moment, could I get a bite? I'd even repay you". The hunger pangs were increasing, he'd have to find something soon.

Tumble looked up sharply, noticing the two lions had found her. Drat. Well, no harm in introducing herself. They said they weren't a threat, and Tumble was sometimes overly willing to speak with others. "Sure? I haven't been able to catch a ton, but I found an antelope calf. You could have some." Tumble sat up a bit straighter, giving her chest a few quick licks. It had been a few months, most of the dry season, sense she had really talked with anyone other than a quick team-up for a hunt. Hopefully the two males wouldn't try to just take the kill.

Maybe grandpaw was looking after him from the stars, his night keeps on getting better and better. A buddy and now a meal that required no strenuous activity!? "You're the best!!!", Ahmen hummed. He trotted over with a pep in his step. Now that he was closer he could fully take in the lioness appearance. She seemed young and possibly friendly, if the sharing of kill was anything to go by.

reaching over to the lioness spot, Ahmen made sure to put a polite distance between them. He didn't want to be rude. "Thanks again...uh...", he faltered. "I never got your name".
