Ahmen shot through all the dry grass, the excitement of a hunt coursing through his body. The gazelle Lunar was guiding was steadily moving closer. Enough for a pounce. When close enough, he mustered up enough energy for a short charge. Coming from the side he pounced, using his claws to grapple onto any flesh. The poor creature couldn't handle 400 pounds and toppled onto the ground. Seizing the opportunity Ahmen clamped his jaw around its' throat, stopping airflow. The gazelle struggled in hopes of breaking free but eventually stilled. Only then did Ahmen release.

The lion shot his head up to scan the savannah. He spied the girls own kill. The group managed two carcasses in one hunt. Amazing! The morning was off to a good start. Elated, the dark male puffed up his chest taking in a breath before bellowing out a series of roars. "GUYS WE DID IT!!!", he yelled.

Tumbleweed gripped the dead gazelle with powerful jaws, hauling it over towards where Ahmen and Lunar had made their kill. She dropped the gazelle a few tail lengths from the other one, before joining Ahmen in celebrating their triumph. "That went amazing!" Tumble's voice was laced with a purr. She began to lick the blood from her paws, making sure her claws would stay clean and sharp. She looked around at their little group, eyes shining with pride. It would be a good meal.

Mistletoe smiled. "Nice leading Tumble!" She complimented the lioness as she joined the group next to Lunar. "This is going to make a good meal! Plenty for all of us to share." She cleaned her muzzle and paws of the blood. Her ears flicked as she sat down, her whitened tail flicking at bugs.

Lunar huffed for a bit, catching his breath - but he soon ran over to Ahmen and Mistletoe and sat down next to the two kills, smiling. His eyes were fixated on the meal and it seemed like they were glowing the the anticipation of the meal. Eventually, Lunar managed to collect himself.

"Well done Tumble! Those were some awesome moves! Do you want to have the first bite?"

“That was a great plan, Tumbleweed!” She smiled in satisfaction at what they had all successfully done. The hunt had gone spectacularly well and she was ready to dig in. “Yeah, you should get the first bite, Tumbleweed!” She smiled kindly at the lioness. “After all, it was your plan that made this hunt successful!”

Tumbleweed

"Sure!" She picked a good bit of meat from the flank, easily tearing it off with her sharp fangs. Tumbleweed could feel the gazes of the other lions on her pelt, so she rather quickly moved away from the kill, making room for the others to get a bite.

As Lunar saw Tumble step back from the kill, he couldn't help himself and dashed towards the pile. Tearing a big piece out he ran around excitedly until he found a nice place to sit and eat his meal...

Mistletoe tore herself a chunk of meat off the flank of one of the prey, hulling it off towards Lunar, she laid down next to him to eat it. She savored the taste of the raw meat, taking her time as she peacefully ate the chunk of meat.

Tumbleweed

She settled over in a somewhat shady spot, tearing into the large chunk of meat with long, powerful fangs. She ate slowly, enjoying the taste, and the simple fact that she was hunting with a group again, a group of lions she was starting to like. Ahemn hadn't taken his share of the kill, and Tumbleweed found herself hoping that he would sit somewhere nearby. Just so they could continue to exchange stories, of course. He was surprisingly fun to talk to, considering his rather imposing exterior. With a slight huff of amusement, she watched as Lunar excitedly took his share, reminding her a little of the cubs in her birth pride, always eager for a meal.

As she waited for most of them got a chance to get food, Obsidian couldn’t help but stare off towards the distance. Her birth-pride should be in that direction, if memory served her correctly. ‘If only they could see how wrong they were about me..’ She couldn’t help but think. She felt proud of what this little group had accomplished. She shook her head to clear it and looked back at their kill. It seemed only Ahmen and herself were left to take something to eat. She looked at him for a half moment before going and taking something to eat and sitting down slightly on her own but still in the grouping.
