Plot: Hunters have been moving in on the land, killing all animals. Construction workers are right behind them, destroying everything else in their wake as they work to expand their city. Now the animals of the forest must escape or pay for their lives for staying behind. However, they'll never survive alone. Prey is scarce since the humans cause so much noise and their water is becoming polluted to the point the fish are dying and it stinks too badly to even attempt drinking. This will cause different species to either group together and travel as one of the most unusual packs ever, or face their death by going at it alone. Which will you choose? Rules: - be polite OOC to eachother - be semi lit - literate - must respond often. If you don't respond within 4 - 7 days, I'll give you a warning. If it happens a second time, you will be out. If you are going to be gone for a while, let me know. - stick with lioden rules. If you want to go into more detail with certain things (i.e. breeding, gory fights, ext.) go to pm's - No godmodding - you can play up two or three characters each but must be able to keep up with that amount. Also, your own characters cannot be in love with each other - try to stick to more realistic colors for your animal - different species can fall in love with each other and produce half breed pups/kits/cubs whatever you wanna call 'em Replies must be at least a paragraph. Wait for two other people to reply before you do to avoid 1x1 happening. Character SheetsNo thread generated. What a suitable sounding designation for a striped feline like this one. With a faint hum, Palpetta coasted into lazy circles above her find, her eyes never once leaving the feline. A chuckle eventually left her and she cooed, "Please, the pleasure is mine. You look a little hungry, but I haven't seen a finer example of your kin in a while." A little casual flattery could go a long way. That, and perhaps an offering to earn the feline's trust and friendliness. "I could use a little company to talk to. Also it had been a while since he good friend, Valka, had gone out for a long hunting expedition, and Trija was happy to have someone to talk to. Valka | wolf | female | mentions: Skylar, Tomas, Luna | Valka snorted at the bird and continued on her way, even though her hunting camp was the other way, she figured she would make a wide birth around the rude animals she had encountered. as she began to round in a wide circle she notice that nothing seemed familiar anymore. she was in completely unfamiliar territory, she stopped herself from panicking and started heading back the way she came. she caught the scent of the bird and the Tiger not far off. she strained her eyes trying to see them, she could, but just barley. there was no way around them, the river boarded one side of them while the other was accompanied by the sound of fierce cougars and hunting hounds. she got closer to the others and sat not to far off and waited for them to clear up before she would head home. she thought about Trija back at her real home and about how she had protected her in many situations, not that she needed it, she thought. she missed Trija and the white tiger reminded her of her. she almost considered asking the tiger the way to the large lake that Trija and her lived on, But she new he would just try to chase her off if he knew she was there. so she waited for things to clear up. 0 players like this post! Hunter - female cougar - mentions: Abraham She panted a little as she followed. Noticing him glance back, she looked back as well and saw the hunters looking quite mad. Things weren't going to be going well. Pain was starting to radiate from her leg and she could feel it getting weaker. She wasn't sure how much longer she could stand running like this. Her eyes glanced around for some place to hide in. But then the male seemed to find a place and pointed up the tree. So she used the most of her strength to lead up into the tree. She scrambed up the tree, trying her best to get high faster. Normally she was great at climbing trees but her leg kept wanting to give out of her. But she soon managed to get on a thick branch and laid there, panting a little. She looked back to the male and then in the direction the humans could be heard coming from. Ivy - squirrel monkey - mentions: sundance She cocked her head a little as she looked at the bird, finding it slightly strange it wanted to be her friend when they normally ate her kind. "Well...if you're serious....then okay!" she said, smiling. "I'm so glad to finally have a friend! I've been on my own for a while now." She glanced around, but soon heard sounds coming from below them again. Looking down, she saw a tiger and bear cub and thought it was a rather odd sight. She glanced back at the Sundance. Tomas | Male | 4 years | Amur Tiger Mentions: Luna, Skylar The tiger chuckled warmly as the cub crawled up onto his back. He felt slightly-irritating pinpricks from her claws, but he didn't mind. He flicked his tail, turning to face further into his territory. "Alright, hold on," he cautioned. "Don't want you to fall off, little Luna." Tomas started forward, walking slowly at first so Luna could get a grip on his fur. He looked up to search for Skylar, but he didn't see the falcon anywhere. He felt a flicker of worry, but he dismissed it after a moment. Skylar was a Peregrine Falcon - he could fly away from danger with ease. Tomas just hoped he didn't do anything foolish. Tomas walked further into his territory, his scent getting stronger the closer he got to the center. He moved swiftly, trying to put distance between the danger and him and Luna. Soon enough, he had reached the center of his territory, the place where he spent most of his time. It was a grassy, beautiful glade, and it was Tomas's favorite place in the whole world. There was a serene pool of water opposite his den, and he frequently swam about when he wasn't hunting. His den was large, and it could easily fit five Tomas's, so Luna would have plenty of room. Tomas went to the den and stopped in front of the entrance. He crouched down to give Luna a chance to leap off his back. "Alright, we're here," he announced. Luna || Female || Black Bear || 6 months || Skylar, Tomas Luna looked around eagerly as Tomas walked, and she hardly noticed when he sped up. She also didn't notice the lack of falcon, but that didn't exactly occur to her. As they reached the clearing, she hopped off his back, sniffing at the ground for a moment before taking the scents in. It was all so much, all at once...! She poked her head into the den, but she glanced back at him before she stepped paw in it. The pool of water didn't appeal to her as much as trees did. It was a behavioral difference between black bears and grizzlies, that was a fact. But she would be willing to get her paws wet if the time came that she had to swim. She padded into the den, sniffing around the rocks and grass. 0 players like this post! Like? |

She ought not get ahead of herself, but already she was picturing a beautifully conditioned tigress to utilize. Patience, Palpetta chided in her thoughts, One step at a time. "You are more than welcome to come along, dear! Though I do request you wait on the swimming until after I've caught a few fish. I'm afraid you may frighten them into hiding otherwise. After I'm done, though, you can swim to your heart's content." She circled lower, now but a few short meters above Trija, and bobbed her head to signal for the feline to follow her. With a minute twist of her wings the eagle swung around and headed for the riverside. Catching the fish would be an exhausting effort, but it was for the good of her long term plans. As she watched Palpetta's wings flap she dreamed of what it would be like if she had some of her own. When Luna went near the den and looked back at him, Tomas bobbed his head to confirm he was fine with her entering. She went into the den, sniffing around at everything. Tomas walked in as well, lying down and stretching out. Skylar always called him lazy, but it wasn't his fault he liked lying down so much. Besides, he hunted, so there was nothing wrong with him relaxing every once in a while. Luna seemed the opposite him, with her searching everywhere. Passing the blood she reached the edge of her border and picked up a trot to her den. As she padded into the entrance to her den she noticed that her stomach was growling madly, ignoring it she layed down and rested her head on her paws. Small stones and pebbles shifted beneath his mass as he moved in deeper. The chill of the water went ignored as his eyes searched for the nutrient and fat rich fish his body craved so badly. At first there was nothing. Did the sow happen to get lucky? Minutes quietly ticked by and eventually a few fish began to swim about, but nothing worth catching. And then he saw one. It was no giant salmon, but it looked like just the quick meal he needed to follow up on the grass he had consumed. His entire frame went still, muscles coiling up and preparing for a quick launch. Bit by bit the unaware worked its way closer to him. Then, just as it entered striking range, Wren dove for it. At first teeth bit into nothing but water, but a quick slap of his paw stunned the fleeing meal just long enough for him to snatch it up and drag it out of the water. Now THAT was a meal he could enjoy. Palpetta | Pallas's Fish Eagle | Mentions: Trija, Aurora (indirectly)Up ahead movement caught her eye. It was brief, but she could have sworn it was a small flash of orange and black banding near a fallen, hollowed out, tree. Hmmm.... could that be another tiger? It seemed she had quite a lucky streak going on if it was. She'd ignore it for now, though, and settled with lazily gliding over the surface of the river, eyes searching for a few choice picks. Once minute passed by. Then two... then three... Silence ruled as she combed over the river. And then suddenly she dove. At the last second her legs swung forward and briefly dipped beneath the water before she pulled up, a fish flailing in her iron grip. Luna || Female || Black Bear || 6 months || Tomas, Skylar Luna nodded enthusiastically. "This is awesome!" She squeaked as she went out the den, sniffing at the water's edge. It was interesting, seeing a bear cub wander about with a tiger watching like this. She lapped a couple of times at the water before moving on to the next object, which happened to be a rock. The cub seemed really energetic and happy about this change in her life, which can be said more than... Other changes. Luna had also forgotten about the dogs that had scared her earlier today, which had made her climb the tree in the first place. After a moment of sniffing through the dirt and getting some ants on her muzzle (which were licked off as she raised her head), she looked back to Tomas, tilting her head. An ant was still on top of her muzzle, but she didn't lick it off. ".. Where's the falcon?" She asked. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Trija gave a little bounce of joy before digging into the fish's flesh. Once she had finished she licked her maw and looked back to Palpetta "Thank you so much!" she roared to Palpetta, in a sweet and happy growl. She gave palpetta a playful glance and said "my turn!" She plunged into the river gracefully, the fish had made her feel as if she had gained a new power. She thrust her head under the water for a moment and watched, waiting, for a fish to shoot by. she saw a green blur in the corner of her eye, now! She told herself before striking her paw out and snagging the fish with a powerful blow. she brought the fish out of the water and grabbed it between her jaws before leaping out of the water, her pelt was soaked and it felt heavy against her back. She tossed the flailing fish to where Palpetta was hovering over the ground. She stood next to a hollow log and shook out her dreanched pelt flinging water everywhere. 0 players like this post!
