The room was silent for a few seconds, James noting his mother and father analyzing their newest captive. "What's she do? Is she worth keeping alive?" His father eventually asked, getting right to the point. James shrugged a bit, as he looked at her calmly. "Some kind of disgusting magic.. Would you like to explain further?" He asked the woman, narrowing his eyes slightly.

Radia straightened and looked at the king, and then the Prince, watching the transaction of words. When she was called out, she glanced over at the king and queen. She didn't think she had enough strength to pull something off in front of them... She noticed the queen give a small glare to her husband, almost saying 'stop being so blunt!' Radia had to hide a small smile. She took a small breath in, and then out. "I can change what you see." For effect, Radia concentrated on something small... Her clothes. She closed her eyes, pulling on her strength. In their eyes-- hopefully-- she would look like she was elegantly dressed in a beautiful hue of lavender purple. She kept it up, and opened her eyes. She looked down and saw herself in both what she actually wore and what she wanted them to see. Which meant it worked.

James was silent, as she used her magic, to change her clothes before their eyes. Mostly, it was considerably rude, to talk at times like this, though he was a prince, without permission. He looked towards his father, who was nodding slowly. "I see." The king said, looking towards his wife. "What do you think?" He asked, withholding his opinion, for now.

Radia held her magic up for a little longer, the effort sapping her energy. She took longer, labored breathes, trying to keep from panting. She could feel beads of sweat form, and now her magic wavered. She never felt her enery go so fast, but it was because they had magic, so it took more effort to disguise herself with them around. She looked up at the king and queen, waiting for their reaction. You see? If course you see! That's what my magic is all about! Radia, right away, didn't like the king. But she doubted they were better off with the Prince, so she kept her mouth shut.

As he looked to the side, Raz followed his gaze, looking at the queen. So, she gives the final verdict? I'm dead. The queen seemed to look Radia up and down, and she felt her magic slip, but she grabbed it just before it fell away completely. "That is a very interesting power." The queen finally spoke. Radia stood still. Interesting... Does that mean she lives, dies, or gets married off to some creepier-than-James-cousin? She shuddered at the thought, and her magic finally fell away. She felt dizzy, but she kept her balance. She looked down, no purple on her. Just her brown plainclothes. She tried looking back up at the king and queen, but she didn't know which one to look at, there was two of both. She looked towards where she heard the queens voice coming from. "I think she could learn to be of of use. Keep her. For now."

James watched his mother as she spoke, nodding when she gave her verdict. The king did the same, nodding with approval of that decision. All was quiet again, James waiting to be dismissed, just in case they did have more to say about her. The king gave him a dismissive gesture, signaling that he could go, and take her away, and James led, and somewhat dragged her, back out of the enormous doors, which a few guards closed behind them.

More guards actually tried to take Raz away, to the dungeon or whatever, but James insisted that he could take care of it himself, and they left again. "So, would you prefer the dungeon, or an actual room? The room wouldn't be much better, honestly, as it's made for a servant. You'll probably get a better room and such, if you don't try to escape and all that, and you do get to live, whether it's for marriage or not, though." He said, as they started walking again.

Radia half stumbled half walked out of the throne room as the Prince pulled her out. She smiled mischievously. "Finally decided to be a big boy Prince and escort me yourself?" I ask after he shoo's off all the guards. "I feel so honored." Walking down the hallways didn't help much with her dizziness. Every step returned another wave. She would have a splitting headache later, she knew. "I'll take the room, but," she paused, and then stopped. "S-stop." She half asked half ordered. "Please." She added, as an after thought. She put a hand up, and leaned to the side, using the wall as support. She closed her eyes tightly, trying to dispell her dizziness. It helped, but only slightly. She let out a pathetic laugh. Living on her own for all these years, and she finally breaks. I guess this is what I get for not being careful. she tries standing with no support from the wall, and succeeds. She places a hand on her forehead. She opened her eyes. Everything was still for a moment. And then another. Raz took a deep breath in, and out. "S-sorry..."

James rolled his eyes at her remark. "Of course. I wouldn't dare "escort" you without guards, outside the castle, but here, of course I'd do it myself." He said simply, with a shrug. He did stop when she did, watching her lean on the wall, almost annoyed that they had to stop, but said nothing about it. "You get tired that easily, and dizzy, from using your magic? Hm." He said, frowning slightly, as he studied her for a moment. "If you get to live, we can help you with that, probably. As I'm sure you can imagine, we have excellent magical training, and all that. Someone could probably help you." James said, though it was not a guarantee, definitely.

"Can you stop?" She asked, half glaring at him. "If you live, If you don't run, If you don't die, If this, If that." She said annoyed. She really was going to get herself killed, though. She didn't want to push his limits at this point, but the way he spoke... It was just so annoying. "And I'm sorry I didn't get a life of luxury, as you can imagine, I had to learn I even had magic, and that on top of being able to go a week without starving." She didn't want to sound bitter, but she did anyways. She had to live in one of the poorer towns, where food could be abundant in the summer, but it sure was not in the winter. She looked him up and down. He probably never went a day without food.

"I can. But, I probably won't." James replied, with a small smirk. "But, we'll see, hm?" He tilted his head to the side slightly, frowning just a bit at her words. "Oh, I'm fully aware of what you've experienced. I've been to plenty of poor towns in my time, trust me. Believe it or not, if there was something I could do, to help you poorer folk a bit, with food and wealth, and all that, I would help." He said, his words genuine. "But, sadly, I can't. At least, I can't do anything until I take the throne."

Raz had a hard time believing him, but an even harder time not taking his words into consideration. From what Raz had taken, he seemed pretty cold and distant, with a dry sense of humor. Akin to ice, Raz supposed. "There's always something you can do to help. Visit the town's more often, perhaps, with a less sour attitude, and a different intent." She suggested. "I don't think you understand how your presence affects the towns." She added. When the royals visit, there are two types of people. The ones that adore-- the higher class people, some middle class, and few lower class-- and the ones who hate and/or are jealous-- most lower class, a few middle class, very few high class, if any. The ones who adore the royals, just knowing they care is enough to spark hope in them. When the totals visit, to them, it seems like they care.

James narrowed his eyes slightly, but he was silent as she spoke, briefly wondering why he was even listening to what she said, she was more or less a prisoner, after all. "I can't just leave whenever I want. Every time I get to leave the castle, it's for something political, or picking up someone like you. Discussing trade deals, and so on." He said, briefly shaking his head, and sighing. "And as for the attitude thing, well, would you be very happy, if you were only visiting somewhere, to capture some people? Kind of hard to be all happy, with that." He said, and shrugged.

"That doesn't mean you can't get side tracked. I'm sure when your out capturing someone, you don't always come back successful. Why don't you use those days to interact with your people?" She couldn't believe she was talking to him. She couldn't believe he was listening to her. "Dont you get to go on trips with your father? Training for being a king?" She glanced down the hall. No one seemed to be around. She could break for it... But she didn't know where she would go. She wasn't familiar enough with the castle. "You can't guide a kingdom of people without knowing those very people."

James chuckled a bit, and looked down at the floor for a moment, sighing a bit. "I can't come back empty-handed, I'm sent away, a kind of short banishment, or punished in some kind of way, if I don't bring someone back. It's just how things work for me. Always has been." He said. "And my father refuses to teach me how to rule, for the most part, he thinks he'll live forever. So, I don't get to learn much." James explained, and shrugged. "Any trips I go on, I'm on my own, aside from Malcolm, my cousin and the knight who restrained you before, he'll come with me sometimes." He added.

What a horrible way to rule. Radia almost softened for him, but then she remembered he took her. She couldn't bring herself to feel sympathetic towards him. After a moment of silence passed between them, Raz decided to change the subject. "May I see my quarters now?" As she was reminded why they had even stopped, she noticed her dizziness had passed, but she still felt fatigued. She felt like she could sleep for a day. She looked down at the floor before looking back up at him, noting those dark blue eyes again. She wondered why he hadn't turned to ice already, they seemed similar enough.

James was mostly still and silent for just a few seconds longer, studying her with slightly narrowed eyes for a moment, before he nodded in reply to her question. "Of course." He responded, and turned, to lead the way, walking rather quickly, wanting to get there as soon as they could.

When they got there, it was quite clear that rooms such as this were meant for servants and the like. Inside, the room was fairly dark, with just one, fairly small window, too small for most people to get through, though, if an escape was attempted, but it was possible. There was barely any furniture, just a bed, with one straw pillow and a blanket, and a small table to one of the relatively small room's corners.
