Jayne quickly parked her car in the school parking lot before checking her watch. She sighed; at this point in time, it wouldn't make much sense to go to class. After all, she was already ahead in all of her classes, and walking in late would just be a distraction for all of the other students. Instead of being a disruption, she decided to wait for soccer practice to start. Instead of walking into the doors, she just walked out back to the bleachers. Once she arrived, she sat down in the front row, her elbows propped back on the bench behind her. She then grabbed her phone, scrolling through her texts and social media feeds. She smiled at the idea of a party at Kylie's. She wasn't the type for drinking or heavy partying, but at least it would give her the opportunity to hang out with her friends, or at least to be out of the house.

She looked around the open expanse of the field. Something felt off about not attending class, or going to lunch, or whatever it was that was going on. She couldn't really remember exactly where she was supposed to be right now anyways. But still, she wished she didn't have to miss the beginning of school because of her physical therapy appointment, but she had spent most of the track season in the bleachers because of some knee problems, and if she wanted to actually play soccer, she had to make sure she didn't hurt herself again. Still, she couldn't let any of that get in the way of her school performance. God forbid that she get a B on a test because she spent more time at doctor's appointments than she did studying. She quickly reached into her bag, pulling out her laptop to begin writing an essay for her AP english class, despite the fact that it wasn't going to be assigned for another week.

Right when fourth period came to an end, she headed straight to the cafeteria. She was a bit hesitant on who to talk to so she sat at table by herself, taking a small bite of an apple she picked up from the lunch line. She decided to give up on trying to find someone to socialize with. She never had that many friends growing up anyway, so learned to be alright with just her,and sometimes she finds it to be quite a bit lonely, but she tries her best to ignore it. A moment after she finished her snack she pulled out a small book from her bag and started to read it.
