Amadi sort of felt sorry for the old male, his time was nearing it's end and he would soon join the kings of the past. But the aging king, or former king, whichever that was, seemed satisfied that he would have left one last litter of cubs in his passing.

Simba returned from the hunt again, he'd only really gone out to give the pair privacy for the day. But on the way home he'd thought to actually hunt and bring back a gazelle. It wasn't big but enough for his uncle and the female, Amadi.

{Outlands}
"Perhaps a reminder then. Different tactics work best for certain prey. Ambush for the faster ones and charging the herds that stay close together to separate them."

Ramla turned, leaving the meerkats and going to Hal, "We're done here. Shall we head back?"

Scar sighed contently, "Thank you, Amadi, for allowing me one final litter. You will make an excellent queen, and mother." He said softly. He sees Simba return. "Welcome back, my boy, nice catch." HE said then gestured for him and Amadi to eat, "I'm fine, you two go ahead." He said, his appitite becoming less and less as of late.

{Outlands}
Huru nods, "Yes, that would be benificial." She said as she then felt a set of teeth on her tail. "Oop...Oh!" She said as she looks behind her. "Hi Vitani." She said chuckling.

Halberd smiled, "Wherever you lead, my dear." HE said standing and waiting for her to lead.

Amadi nodded, "It's the least I can do considering everything you two have done for me." She stood when the gold male returned, looking at the old one, "You need to eat, we'll be sure to leave some for you."

Simba nodded in agreement and began eating alongside Amadi, keeping an eye on his uncle.

{Outlands}
Shaka chuckled at the cub, "Feisty little thing isn't she."

Ramla nodded, walking past him and brushing her tail along his side, "Let's go to the waterhole then."

Scar seemed to doze slightly, fighting it with everything he had. For the first time in his life, he was truly afraid to sleep, but soon he dozed into a light slumber, body relaxing as he slept.

{outlands}
Well, she is my sister...must be in father's blood." She said chuckling as she tapped Vitani on the nose gently with her tail then swayed it some for the cub to play with.

Hal smiled and nods, "As you desire, my queen." He said with a smile.

Simba frowned lightly at his uncle, he knew it was inevitable but he had only his uncle left and didn't want to loose him.

{Outlands}
Shaka watched the little female and chuckled softly, "So much energy too, it's a wonder she ever sleeps at all."

Ramla went to the waterhole and got a drink before laying in the sun for a nap.

Scar moved only slightly, seeming to relax more and more. His breathing soon slowed, He felt the pull of death, wanting to fight to the end he forced himself to wake again. He looks at Simba, "Don't worry so, I am old...and drought or no, my time would have come soon enough." He said softly, looking up at Simba. He soon smiled weakly, "Mufasa would be proud of the lion you've become...once I'm gone, speak to Rafiki...he has something to tell you." He said standing with all the strength he can muster, and walks from the den. "I love you, simba...I never said that enough when you were young." He said as he then left for the gorge that Mufasa had died in many moons earlier. He lays by what's left of the tree, and succumbs to his age and weakening body..the dark king soon died.

{Outlands}
A wave of sorrow hits those closest to Scar as they feel their mortal connection cut.. "F..Father...I'm sorry." Huru whispered softly as a single tear traced her cheek. Vitani stopped her bouncing as she saw Huru's eyes, the cub tilted her head, confused.

Hal smiled as he lays beside her and watched the area as she naps, being more protective of her for some reason.

Amadi hung her head, sending a silent prayer to the lost kings in honor of the latest king's passing.

Simba sighed heavily, walking into the den and slumped into the corner having lost his apatite.

{Outlands}
Shaka stared for a moment, "He's gone isn't he?"

Ramla lifted her head, looking around for a moment. She sighed sadly, realizing it had not been a bad dream and laid her head on her paws.

Yes...he's gone..." She hung her head. She felt like, in some way, she was at fault. "You would think that after seeing so much death I'd be used to it by now." She said with a sad smile.

Hal noticed Ram's swift awakening. "What is it, my golden flower? What's wrong?" He asked noticing her sigh, he nuzzled her gently.

Shaka nuzzled her gently, "It's different when it's your family. He could be the most evil lion to ever live and you would still miss him. He is after all your father."

Ramla sighed again, "He was terrible and made no secret of his favorite cub. But he was still my father.....and he's gone."

I know, but...with the way I left....I regret not going to at least say goodbye." Huru said with a cracking voice. "May the kings give him rest...for none are completely blameless of jelousy and envy." She said softly trying to compose herself.

Hal's eyes widened, he then lays his head beside hers and licked her nose gently. "Desert sand we were, and sands we, become, Great Kings give the old one a place at your side. Allow us to find comfort in the peace he has found in eternity." The large male says gently.

{Pridelands}
Rafiki comes soon after the severance is felt. "He's gone, and now...we must talk." The old baboon said looking to simba.

Shaka moved closer, nuzzling her gently and licked her ear, "The time comes for everyone. Your father outlived most lions as well. Tyrant or beloved all kings find their place among the stars."

Ramla sighed once more,snuggling into his side and laid her head down again, "Thank you Halberd. As bad as he could be, I will still miss him."

Hal nods, "We all feel our parent's leave when their time comes, and that pain stays with us, I still miss my father, and my mother." HE said softly.

Huru nuzzled him back. "Thank you, Shaka." She then looks to the sky. "Looks like it's going to rain again." She said softly.

She looked up at him, licking his cheek, "Thank you, it means a lot that you'd stay with me. But we should probably head back before the rains fall."

He looked up and nodded, "I suppose so, do you want to go inside now or wait a while longer?"

Lets go inside, don't need Vitani catching a cold." Huru said softly, picking her sister up gently only to set her back down. Turning on her hind legs she faces what seems like, a very aggravated Zira. Zira then rakes her claws across Huru's face, causing her to cry out.

Halberd smiled, "Now, if I wasn't willing to stay by you in this difficult time, what kind of mate would I be?" He asked softly as he nuzzled her again, standing ready to walk beside her. Soon Huru's cry could be heard even there.

The day your father died, your uncle explained what had happened, but by the time you returned, he had grown too weak and soft spoken to tell you." The old baboon said, "When your father fell...it was due to the stampede...the vibrations had loosened his footing, causing him to loose his hold...Scar tried to help him, but even he couldn't help where there was no grip." He added

Shaka snarled, moving forward to stand between the two females. "Zira! What's the meaning of this?! Have you lost your mind?!"

Ramla smiled slightly before turning to the sound of her sister's cry. "Huru? Huru!" She took off, running toward their den as fast as she could.

{Pridelands}
Simba listened to the old baboon, eyes widening in surprise at the new information. "So then......it wasn't my fault? I had always thought it was me, I was the reason for my father's death."
