Yes, since all the 2nd gen lions were bred by you, the cub is still considered Hard Mode compatible, even though they are 3rd gen. The restriction on generation only applies to any cubs you buy outside of your pride, not the cubs you breed from them.

I want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding. Are gen3's allowed only if they are either the child or a grandchild of my king?

No lions *have* to be descended from your king. But the only way for them to not be descended from your king would be to breed your girls just to Heritageless studs.

So they would only ever be Gen 3+ on the mother's side, with only your pride females and Heritageless studs in the maternal lineage.

I'm considering joining either with my current king or the next one. I just wonder if my current one qualifies, he's a damu groupie, so heritageless for sure. but if the rules are strictly about starting with a rolled king, then no big deal. most of Qardu's glory days are over and I haven't used his genetics too efficiently anyway so no reason to start now :D

If your king was a regular lion that had heritage and you used a groupie to make him Heritageless, then he will not qualify.

If your king *is* a groupie and has the groupie's looks, then he is fine! :) A groupie is still basically "rolled" in a way (only has 1 or 2 special traits and is random, game-generated, and Heritageless) so there's no need to waste money to reroll.

ohh he should be fine then! he's a legitimate groupie, all I did is add a couple of markings to him randomly over time, didn't change anything else. thank you for clarifying

Well, folks. It's done. He's here. Azzy's design has changed the most it has in over a year. It's mostly finished; got a few markings I plan to add in November, but until that time… I'm satisfied with his appearance now.

For now he is Sunspot, but eventually I'd like to crown a Maziwa.

So we can't have any heritage stud/lions- I kinda wanna join but love my lion too much I'm gonna try doing this when my King dies or a new king is crowned/rerolled
