Jo looked at his hand, wondering how in the world this gentleman was the same guy as the stupid man she had met earlier. Maybe she had judged him too soon. She took his hand and got down off of the horse, sliding down beside Adam and she rolled her eyes at him. "I didn't need your help," she states, smiling at him before looking at the saddle bag he had with bread. Of course Jo wanted to accept the bread, but she wouldn't. She's couldn't. Not knowing the fact that there were people starving. She refused to be like the people she despised. "And I can't take that bread," she states, turning to look at Adam. "I can't be like the people I despise. I can't stuff myself knowing others are starving."

"I knew you would say that," he shook his head, "I have three loaves, one for me now and two for you to do whatever you want with. Will you at least eat some with me?" They were small loaves, really just like large rolls, but he had been able to sneak them out and they traveled well. Taking two out, he offered one to her.

Jo extended her hand, ready to take the rolls. She hadn't planned on eating them herself, rather she would give one to her family and one to a different family whom Jo though needed. But then she withdrew her hand and shook her head before smiling. "You can give it to them," she states. "I can take you to my town later? And as for me....." Jo reached out and took a bit of the one loaf that Adam was eating. She got that piece and smirked before eating it herself and moaning at the taste of it, her eyes closed. Jo fluttered her eyes open, as she smiled at Adam. "Delicious."

Adam bit his lip when she mentioned him taking bread into her village himself. Any guards or officials had a higher chance of recognizing him and just having a horse would give him some attention along with his clothes. "Hmm, I don't know about going to your village," he said, not sure what excuse to make now.

Jo paused for a moment and cocked her head to the side, the smile leaving her face. "You can't go? Why not....?" Then it hit Jo. She didn't know how she could forget that Adam wasn't like her. He didn't want for things. He had them. He thought he was better. Jo pulled away from Adam with a disgusted look on her face before she nods her head. "I forgot," she starts, backing away from him. "You're rich which makes you so much better than us poor people. You're far too good to even set foot into our putrid villiage." Jo scoffs. And to think she thought something was staring for them. She had to remind herself. Love was stupid, and she didn't need it.

"It's not like that," he shook his head again, "I would love for the people you know to get the bread, but... I'm not really supposed to be away from home and some others might recognize me. I don't want to get you or me into trouble." Adam knew that he would really need to tell her who he was before much longer, but he did want to help her village now. The king was asking him what he wanted for his coronation and he was considering doing something selfless for the first time in his life.

What happened this morning, Jo realized. It hadn't been truly real. All a hoax, really to remind her that there were things she would always want but could never have. Jo smiled. "I know the best way for us not to get into trouble," she states before the smile leaves her face completely. "For there not to be an us. Whatever was here.......," Jo takes a deep breath. "Wasn't real. We shouldn't meet anymore. Shouldn't even talk or see each other ever. Because the last thing I want is for you to be caught with a commoner like me." She inhaled. "So forget about this and forget about me because I certainly will." Jo turned on her heel, ready to walk away.

"Jo, take the bread, please. Give it to someone that needs it," he said and just held out the loaves to her. It she didn't want to see him again, he would honor that, but he was already planning his request to his father. It would blow his secret, but hopefully show that he wasn't as arrogant as he seemed. On the other hand, a crown on his head might drive her away for good.

Jo turned around to glare at Adam. She wanted to hate him so bad! To feel the hatred for Adam course through her veins, but she couldn't hate someone who would do nice things. And though she was furious with him, at the moment she didn't truly hate him. "Stop doing that!" She exclaims after signing. "Stop being nice and stop doing nice things. Stop pretending to care about us." Jo looked Adam in the eye. "Stop pretending to like me because it's doing more harm than good." Jo would be lying to herself if she said she hadn't started to like Adam but she's wouldn't admit that to him. Not if he was ashamed and embarrassed to be around her.

"Take the bread," he insisted again, "Take all three and then I promise that you won't see me again for a while. I will come to visit your village when I can." Within a week would be his coronation and he was going to insist on getting what he wanted instead of a week long feast with people he didn't like anyway.

Jo looked Adam up and down before she shook her head and put her hands up in a surrender gesture. "No," she answers. "I don't want anything to remind me of you." And she turned around to leave, feeling a few years streak down her cheek and Jo vowed to herself three things that day. Never again would she let her guard down. Never again would she fall for a boy. And never again would she cry over a boy.

His father had almost literally thrown a fit, but now they were leading a convoy of wagons out to the village. Adam had arranged for a few to be sent to the largest villages in the kingdom, but he insisted that they go to this one. In the wagons were bread, cooked meat, and even sweets while the others carried livestock like young pigs, chickens in crates, and huge bags of grain, sugar, and containers of oil. While the King rode in the royal carriage, Adam rode Silver and was leading another white mare beside him.

As they walked into the village, it seemed to come to life with excitement and everyone was looking at the royal purple clothes he was wearing and the golden crown on his head.

Jo was awakened by Mya, as she told them the royal families were in the villiage. Jo had first begun to ignore her since she knew they were probably only there to collect taxes. Taxes that her villiage didn't have. But Mya didn't let her think that for long, as she said they had brought wagons and wagons of food. This stunned Jo, and she really couldn't believe the words that were entering her ears. She pulled on a large t shirt and some sweat pants before running her hands through her hair which was differently for her since seldom did she wear her hair down and not up. Jo followed her sister outside and couldn't believe the sight in front of her. Mya had been right. There were about three wagons with good, not to mention the sound of the live livestock. Jo felt her jaw dropped, as she's thought for once that the kingdom wasn't only thinking about itself. And as her eyes moved across the people, she saw a familiar horse and person. Adam. She shook her head thinking how before it hit her. Adam was the prince.

He had been looking for her and Adam gave her a nod and a tight smile when he saw her, holding up the reins of the white mare as if to say, 'For you.' Adam couldn't go to her right now since all the people were thanking him and he was making sure that they all got at least something from the wagons without being too greedy. Everything that was sent around the kingdom would've been the supplies for the week long feast in the castle, but he didn't want that.
