Upon hearing the correct words, Smokestep beamed at her apprentice, her tail twitching in delight. Meadowpaw was a smart cat, even with her hesitations.
"Exactly." With a purr, Smokestep began to pad after the scent, trying not to let herself get distracted by all the other scents and sights that flooded her senses. They were after all, on a patrol and not on one of her casual territory wanders.
"And why is it important we make sure a badger isn't nesting in our territory?" She mewed, slowing down as the scent grew lost to her. Her tracking skills were not always the greatest, her reliance on the other senses, and so she paused both in anticipation and to give Fogstar a look to see if he was still on the trail.

Meadowpaw glowed at her mentors praise, but then worried. A badger? in there territory? It could kill them all! What if it came to camp? what would they do then? Was she ready to take on a badger if they found one? what if there were multiple badgers?! Meadowpaw found it easy to answer Smokestep's question, "Because, if we run into it we could die!!!!" she exclaimed. She winced at the idea of their claws raking through her throat. Meadowpaw took a deep breath realizing she might sound a bit paranoid, or weak, and made her fur lie flat as she continued following.

FOGSTAR - LEADER OF VVINDCLAN - SEASON: LEAF FALL, ALMOST LEAF BARE. - LOCATION: TERRITORY - MENTIONS, Meadowpaw, Smokestep. TOPIC: PATROL / BADGER "HUNT"


Fogstar nodded in approval at the young apprentice's recognition of the smell. He noticed how they had to take a few tries to pinpoint the exact animal creating the odor but was proud of how she was determined to get the right answer and did not begin mewling for help after one failed attempt. He carried along silently next to them, thoughts churning in his head and pearls of aqua scanning the horizon and moor below to ensure no dens opened up underneath them. Quite contrary to most cats in VVindclan, his eyesight slightly fuzzed out to nothingness quite closer than other feline's vision. His nostrils were flexed open and his jaws hung limp as he drank in the air.
It was getting a little bit weaker more and more as they padded along. Eyes narrowing, the leader made eye contact with his deputy and gave a shrug. Optics scanned over Meadowpaw and noticed her frightened demeanor and the stench of fear ebbing away at her smell. "Myself, I have lost most of the trail but the stench is still..faint" He meowed softly, pausing for a moment as his eyes scanned the terrain. Their search pinpointed a somewhat slanted boulder jutting out of a large mount off to the group's left. "I think it would be beneficial to trot on up to that rock up there." He turned back to his clanmates and made switching eyecontact with the both of them. "Hey, Meadowpaw. VVhy do you think I believe it would help us out to go to a higher point in the territory? Besides from the fast that we might loose the scent more by going a different direction or find it once more." He let a tiny shrug ripple his ashen-hued shoulders. "I just want to find that darn badger." He let a slight chuckle slide from his chest.
As he spoke, he repeatedly lifted up his slim feet and bustled them around eachother to avoid having them all placed sullen on the chilled earth at one time.

Breezepaw exited clan camp and she looked back, she was sure they wouldn't have any problem if she just went and caught a rabbit or a hare, she padded out of camp and slightly opened her jaws, the scent of hare was all over the territory, was one running from one of her clanmates? she followed the scent until she found a big hare just sitting there, it lifted it's ears and Breezepaw stopped moving, hoping that it wouldn't hear her, the hare started moving slowly to flee from WindClan's territory before she pounced on it, she bited it's neck and it was a clean kill, the hare was bigger than herself, but it was no surprise since she was one of the smallest cats in the clan even if she was the oldest apprentice, she grabbed it by the neck and carried it all the way to WindClan's camp, she set it down in the fresh kill pile and she stood proudly of her catch.

Meadowpaw tilted her head and thought for a moment before answering his question. Why would it be good to get to a higher point in the territory? Though as soon as her thoughts repeated her leader's words she slowly began to think she knew the answer, "So we can see more of our territory, and maybe the badger?" She said tentatively. She was glad that she got the other question right, but she still wasn't sure if THIS one was right. Though she did have a bit more confidence from getting the last question right. She looked curiously up at the bigger cats waiting for a reply. She could take a no, but the idea frightened her until she got it. The she liked to try again.

Tallpaw sat in the medicine cat den, he pawed the dirt wondering what to do, he already had learned what the herbs do, they were full on herbs and no cat was hurt, he was bored and he wanted to do something, he sat and rolled over the floor.

Pearls of brilliant sky lit up with happiness and pride as she answered almost the exact right answer. "Good job! That's right! If we can get to a high point, our moor-running eyeballs can scout out the rest of our territory. VVe should head up there real quick and just make sure there are no real threats if that is alright." He shrugged and turned his head away, pursing lips shut. "I'm commanding way too much. Hm. VVe can just head back if you guys want."

She looked the boulder up and down. It sure wouldn't be easy to climb! Meadowpaw smiled excitedly at his praise though. Two questions in a row right? Wow! She shook her head at Fogstar, "You're not to commanding, and besides, you are out leader." She wondered if she could climb it, she was never good at climbing. She tried to climb a tree once that was near the Thunderclan border. She didn't get very far before falling. Meadowpaw wanted to look strong though in front of her leader, and mentor.

Hello everybody! My name is Cobia, also known in this rp as Fogstar!
I am excited to announce the first ever Windclan prophecy / event for all of you guys to enjoy!
I assume you can tell what some parts of this creepy omen mean, but, we must decipher the rest of it on our own!

If you are interested in this part of the storyline, please private message me! I would prefer if your character was a medicine cat/MCA, but that is not a requirement. More or less, I determine if you could possibly have this role by:

Birdpaw nodded. "Sure, c'mon." Birdpaw led Tallpaw out of camp quietly. She definitely didn't have a mentor yet, hers had went missing a moon or so ago. She didn't really know the old cat too well, as he would just sit there, staring up at the sky and talking to Starclan. He wasn't a medicine cat, so she didn't actually know what he was doing. When he disappeared, it wasn't much of a 'bad thing' to the clan.

Tallpaw smiled, and he followed Birdpaw, he looked at the territory he had explored so many times, he looked at Birdpaw as if asking them where they would go, he looked over to the territory again, he was lucky to be born in in WindClan, he smiled, this was his home and nothing would change it.

Birdpaw saw a songbird, which was rather common in the moors of Windclan. "You see that bird over there? Get in a position like this." Birdpaw lowered her body down, her front legs going under her body, same with her back legs. "You'll shake your body in rhythm, then you'll kick off with your legs, aiming at the prey."
