@River, I was saying that I couldn't find this mutation even IN small cats. There are cats with naturally large ears, but they look nothing like this suggestion and do not serve anywhere near the same purpose. (IE a Maine Coon's large, 'radio signal'-esque ears serve a specific function and are not a mutation, but an evolved advantage. So, not the same thing.)

@Aconitra, it could be a lineart change like Fear, Anger, Rabies, etc. that molds itself to your lion's base.

unfortunately no decor changes the lines while adding the base color...its not feasibly possibly ^.^ itd basically be coded as a mutation at that point...itd just be unequipped which is an insane amount of work for coders and i (personally) think not fair to ask of them given how much they already do ^.^

and keepp in mind all changes start as mutations...so at some point the maine coons ears were a mutation...they just helped them survive and/or the other ears were bred out...so it could happen...it just hasnt been seen yet or hasnt helped a lion survive so simply vanished again but it could just as easily appear again (especially in a game like this) :)

This seem's pretty cool but no support. Even though lioden can be unrealistic (blue lion's, red lion's GREEN LION'S.) this is gone way to far for lioden. There's already ear tuft decor and i just don't see this happening. I also see this as a halloween type thing not a everyday like thing to Occur. However If this does get added to the game i may have second thought's for it but i Just simply don't support for now.

Aconitra, but it's not considered a mutation. Munchkin cats are still fresh enough to be considered a mutation, and that is a clear medical problems (dwarfism with arthritis), and other cats with weird ears- Dwelf, Scottish Fold, etc- we can easily tell 'there is a medical problem causing this'. If it's not a medical problem and is a part of that creature's consistent, naturally-occuring anatomy, it's not a mutation.

And, IDK. A decor that changes lines might be cool. Like poses...Oh no now I want that

I’ve been watching for a while, and I’ve put in my support, but I have to say something. I don’t quite understand how this has ‘gone way too far’. It seems to be rather reasonable, though not entirely realistic; as mentioned, there are green, blue, and pink bases— I’m just not sure how this is ‘too far’ when those are not. ^^’

This would be the first mutation not based off of real animals, even humans or extinct animals. That is too far for me. The bases and markings, I'm ok with, because I mean...it's a pet breeding site. But, and not naming names of other pet breeding sites here, Lioden uses real animals as a basis, unlike another very popular pet breeding game based off of fantasy animals. If that game introduced Manticore [redacted fantasy species] ears, I wouldn't put it past them, but Lioden uses a real, existing animal as a template. I feel like decor, bases, mane, and markings are where we get into the fantasy aspect, using a real animal as our template.

Also, I want to sincerely apologize if I've come off as snappy. I've tried to remain very civil here, as civil as I possibly can be when it's a heated topic for me. I am still incredibly frustrated and will be extremely disappointed if this is passed, honestly, but the most that I can do here is explain why I do not support this, and maybe convince someone else to see my side, too.

And now, my hands are hurting really badly, so I should rest, haha. Don't get into heated discussions when you have a joint disorder aggravated by a lot of typing, friends.

@fort, look i understand you opinion and your preference along with anyone who doesnt want it. just sell the lions... but for the people who do want it you have to think about the fact that there are green,blue,pink,purple and red lions in this game. along with the primal mutation which, i know, is based off of saber cats, but they are unrealistic. along with most any of the markings and eye colors on lions. but i would like this, so please be respectful to those who want it.

Honestly there have been things on LD that frustrated me and things I didn't think should pass (but did) and you know what? That's fine. This game is not just for me, it's not just for any one player and if others like it, if it enriches their game play, then to each their own. If you don't like my suggestion I completely respect your opinion (we all like what we like and dislike what we dislike - if the mutation passes and you don't like it, you don't have to have it in your pride); I'm not insulted and I understand your point of view - those of us that like this suggestion politely disagree and we ask that you respect our opinions as we respect yours.

Thank you for supporting my suggestion everyone, I am flattered that all of you like this idea as much as I do. I know not everyone likes it and that is fine, they don't need to because everyone likes something different - that's what's great about LD, there is something for everyone (and I'm sure we all hate at least 1 mutation, marking or base, haha).
