“Nice to meet you!” Reedfeather laughed.
Rosepetal leaned im close to Lilynose.
“Will you meet me at the border tonight?” She whispered.

Wosh did it get warmer? No....no that was her fur flushing, heart fluttering even more so than before, she found herself nodding unable to make words come out her mouth.
Had the others heard Rosepetal's request or where they too enrapt with listening to the leader's reports. She didn't care if they had...

Rosepetal purred quietly and listened to the leader's reports.
Flicking her ears gently while she listened.
Reedfeather glanced at his sister for a moment, wondering what she whispered to the other she-cat, but decided it wasn't important. He went back to listening to the leaders, curiously.

When the gathering finished, Rosepetal followed her brother to their leader.
They started leaving, making her glance around.
She bounded towards her clanmates when she fell behind.

Leaving this gathering was harder than she'd expected it was only the prospect of meeting Rosepetal tomorrow night that kept her paws moving.
Her head was swimming with questions, tummy knotted with worry, paws feeling both heavy and light at the same time. Lillynose couldn't wait to curl up in her nest, maybe she'd feel better in the morning.

Still she kept smelling the sweet scent of minnows.

Lillynose being one of the cats who got the honor of going to the gathering was allowed to sleep in till sunhigh; she awoke a ruffled mess with heather stalks sticking to her fur, a feather even clung to the side of her mouth.
Harefoot had chortled a mocking comment towards her appearance, she laughed with him while he helped untangle the stalks from her white fur.
"Don't suppose we've been put on a patrol?" She'd asked between giggles.

Rosepetal sighed and dipped herself in the water.
She swam to the bottom and waited for the fish to scatter over her.
She jumped out, holding a smaller trout tightly.
She landed on the shore and set it down, going to start fishing again.

Lillynose had been sent out on a hunting patrol near the Riverclan border of all places.
At the moment the young white furred warrior was on her own, dashing after a fat looking rabbit, the creature swerved it's path so both prey and hunter were running along side the river.
She'd soon tire the rabbit out till it was slow enough for her to leap up and kill it, she wasn't even breaking a sweat, in fact she quite enjoyed the exercise.
Soon she'd leaped squarely on the rabbit's shoulders sinking her teeth to give it a swift killing bite. She held her catch proudly, flanks heaving heavily as she fought to catch her breath.

Rosepetal dried her fur, about to start hunting for land prey.
She fished up a minnow.
Rosepetal was about to bring them back, but thought she could fish a little longer.
Sighing, she continued.

Rosepetal heard one of her clan mates draw close.
A big tom with a brown brindled pattern and pale green eyes.
He had a lighter under belly.
She spoke with him for a little while they fished.
He seemed to have the same fluff that Rosepetal had!
She sighed, her forepaws getting tired.

"I'm here!" A desperate panting cry, "Rosepetal!"
Lillynose skidding to a halt her dust covered paws inches away from the river that bordered Riverclan and Windclan territory, her pelt was once again tangled with heather flowers and branches their pollen tickled her nose.
"I'm so sorry to have kept ya." Her eyes were wide open sparking with regret.

The tom she was with had left.
"I got to fish a lot" She meowed.
Rosepetal swam across the river to Lillynose.
Her eyes were mingled with tired flecks.
