Have used 18 energy boosts and explore daily. Don’t fight, different areas, ignore lionesses and.... zilch. Nada. Nothing

I don’t get much luck with these random events, I get more luck with shiny Pokemon to be fair. So my plan is to keep exploring when I can and maybe I’ll get it. The odds do seem to be very low, both with getting the herb and with breeding but as with everything, it’ll get common in a few months and nobody will care about it

I think the issue here Ani is the fact that this isnt exclusive to just this item, though it might be the catalyst for a lot of frustration and anger RNG is a trend seen across the board lately, super cruel RNG, almost a punishment to dedicated loyal players.

Over the past few years, its been getting more frequent.

And really, they have been focusing on these new muts and hybrids, but tease us with MAYBE getting new king poses. They give us new decor and upday explore encounter art too. But nothing for people to enjoy outside of these super rare encounters.

I cant go, well I didnt get a Ferus, but hey, at least I can get a better king pose.

Very true, RNG is cruel sometimes but I’ll be completely honest and say that all these new things being introduced through entirely random chance is making this game a chore. I’m an old player but I can’t keep up with all these events and chances

But still, it’s just a game, no point being enraged with it. Eventually people will run out of money or get tired and just quit, then changes will have to be made

Thats how some online/MMOs have gone Ani. One in particular boasted 12,000,000 players. But they changed the business model, made it a chore, it stopped being fun and they started using more and more RNG. People stopped enjoying it, it became painful, exhausting and worst of all, disappointing. Now its just a shadow of its former self and players are leaving in droves for other games.

I love Lioden. 5 years in June for me. Im not enraged about the Ferus thing, but its implementation. This new RNG gambling business model is like an epidemic in the gaming world. Thats what has me so upset, Im seeing something I love and actually dont mind spending money on, turned into a money pit with no reward at the end. Its essentially a carrot on a stick, you can see the carrot, you just cant get it, ever.

Would be a shame to leave, but if RNG is how they want to go, thats fine. Ill spend my time and money somewhere where RNG isnt the end all.

Yeah it’s not nice to see this happening again. At least implementing it using a pattern or even making it part of a quest would be better.

Hey Juniper, just wanted to say congrats (although really sorry about all that gb) and that is a super awesome thing for you to do! < 3

Also, I was curious as to why they didn't just make the item like 3000-3500 RB? Making it really expensive would keep the item rare, plus it would encourage event participation. I think people would still be spending money on energy roots, however, they wouldn't feel like all their money/time was getting wasted. It would be like "If I work hard, I can get it." Not, "I can work forever and never get it." However, looking back I don't think I've ever seen this sort of approach to rare items. So I'm honestly just curious, is there a reason? I actually do like the RNG a little bit and see that it can be exciting, I just don't like that it seems to be the only way to acquire several of the most desired items.

I'm also interested in seeing how many Muk's are being acquired daily. I think more people are starting to give up/run out of money so that could account to fewer being found. However, I also noticed that there are several in-game that haven't been used or put up for trade. It would just be an interesting thing to see the numbers! c:

Fallen, the reason why RNG has become more frequent is that it it stimulates spending. But its not the ONLY way to make money.

GB does not generate without purchases.

To get people to buy, they are using a carrot on a stick to get people to spend money.

Thats not so bad, but when over the last year its EVERY new app or base or in this case, appearance is using this SAME RNG method to try and get people to spend money, it feels like a loot box system, and essentially it is. Explore has become nothing more than a slot machine, put your money in, and get.....Nothing!

Its leaving a sour taste in peoples mouths.

Im all for supporting the game, but this is going a bit far.

Its started with Leopons, dwarves and rosettes with breeding, but maybe that wasnt enough of a carrot on a stick, breeding items are a one time use thing, then you wait for the next heat. Now its Tigons, Interstellers, Solaris and Ferus with explore. Energy boosts are instant and require no waiting. Just click and buy.

Yea that would be 100x better then this! have it both ways even maybe.. but at least allow a for sure way to get it with hard work..
