With the Ferus mutation being out for three days now (at the time of this post), how are y'all faring with getting the Mukombero?

I currently have no luck, spending about 1,000 energy at this point in my search.

Those who got it already, tips would be appreciated. Perhaps the Hyena Butter to reduce lioness encounters? I will compile a tips-and-tricks list once responses come in.

Adopt one today! Adopt one today!

Edit:
I noticed some arguing in the responses to this thread. Since this is a discussion, we must respect all opinions on the matter whether it be negative or positive. However, we must not go out of our way to insult other's viewpoints. After all, we are all getting a little miffed on not finding the item, however, that is no reason to get upset at each other. Try to keep it civil, thank you.

Update: Still haven't found the plant. Lost hope a day ago. Ran out of water too. Don't know how long I can hold out for. Send help.

It should have been implemented like Smilus and Felis. The Primal app was a good idea. I dont know why they changed it to this. A Ferus can pass a regular Primal, but a regular primal cannot pass a Ferus?

Yeah same, I have my feelings and I am SURE it is precoded, they choose a number of people and leave the Muko appear to them in certain days. Maybe they choose them randomly, they take the ID pools and sort some out of the pile.. What happened to Mochi is far too suspect.

Pakera, I dont think its that nefarious. Though the Admins have in the past shown social favoritism to their fanbois, I doubt strongly they would do something that blatantly stupid.

I dont think the Admins and Mods are suspect here. Its either a very poor code, or they really didnt think it through when it comes to making the game fun. Thats why people hate RNG so much, its just down right cruel.

Imma be honest here, I'm fairly irked. I've been setting timers, making sure to run down all my energy almost as soon it's full again. I've been avoiding fights and making an effort to conserve energy in explore, but still, nothing. I keep telling myself there's plenty of time left. I'll see the shaman, I'll get my guaranteed ferus, but as the event goes on, I'm just getting more and more frustrated.

I hate that this is an RNG thing. RNG is fickle and careless. Someone could be offline for the whole event, log in on the last day and immediately see the shaman when they start exploring. Meanwhile there's me and plenty of others trying their damnedest to find that shaman just once and getting nowhere with it.

There were plenty of other ways to handle this. I understand a desire for the item to be obtainable by casual players, but by doing it this way, people who do put in more time and effort into the game have just as much opportunity as people who don't come on very often, or if they are on everyday, it's just enough to care for their lions and run down the energy bar just once or twice.

Putting it in the shop has been brought up, which could work, though I don't agree that's the best solution. Other events have quests. This doesn't mean March needs a storyline on the scale of July or June's. It could be something simple with an NPC who gives quests of varying difficulty. The difficulty could increase as the month goes on or could be the player's choice. Completing a quest would increase the chance of finding the shaman, harder quests giving a higher increase, as well as giving a small immediate reward for doing the quest. Upon encountering the shaman, the boosts would be reset and could be built up again. Mukombero could also be offered in the shop for a very high price that would be a challenge to achieve, but still leave an option if even after boosts players' luck is just that sour. This idea isn't considering how much should be added to keep it challenging, but I know I'm not the only one with the opinion that if I'm putting in substantial time and effort, I should be able to get at least one of one of the highest valued event items. The possibility of getting one of those items being at the whim of a slot machine that only gives wins >1% of the time with no way to tip the odds in my favor is infuriating.

Well said, Spork Lord.

I said earlier in the thread I actually had an irl little depressive meltdown over this; it just made me feel so depressed and useless and discouraged and that spiraled until I spent the entire day with zero spoons needing to be taken care of by my fiancee.

There should never be a case where I feel so discouraged that that happens.

Every other game I play has a way to combat RNG. If I don't get a skin I want to drop in OW, I can save up coins and buy it, for example.

But I don't stand a chance in hell in this unless I somehow get magnificently lucky. The only things of value I have to offer are my writing that, apperantly, no one wants- so that makes me feel good- or my tigon's heat, and I can't see to raffle that off, either. Because I guess mine isn't good enough, or maybe no one wants tigons anymore, or whatever.

I don't feel excited and happy about this event anymore.

Just discouraged and sort of starting to feel like people are right and it's rigged somehow.

It should never have been an explore encounter.

Tigons, sure. They were a new hybrid, no other tigon type was introduced, except leopon hybrids which are breed only. When leopons were released, I was like "Oh gee, I hope I breed one!" No rush, its all year any time, any breeding same with dwarves and other muts. Then Tigons were released, "Oh gee I hope I get an encounter!" In the whole month I got 1 encounter between both my accounts. Sad me, but oh well, no big deal.

Then Lioden is like, Hey! We have new primals available with an encounter in explore!!

"Oh boy! Its a primal, not a Tigon or Leopon, so it cant be SUPER rare right!?!" A full week has passed, no encounter. WTF

Primals started out as an app. Then you had a chance to get Felis or Smilus with breeding from primal. They threw that out the window when it should have stayed within the primal breeding mechanic. Primals would retain their breeding desirability.

Now its a slot machine draw, a punch in the face for people who are loyal and spend real money in the game, and to top it off, primal/Felis/Smilus kings are pretty much no longer desirable to a whole other set of Primal breeders. And to make things just as sweet, you CANNOT get a Ferus from a Primal/Felis/Smilus...but you CAN get a primal from a Ferus?! I know, I got a primal potato from a Ferus king.

I've used 12 energy boosts, countless Gorilla Enclave boosts, on two different accounts, still no Ferus Kush.
I honestly just want to get Mukombero to sell, if i have to use 30 GB to get a 600 GB item, so be it.

I’ve officially exhausted my gold beetles, and honestly I shouldn’t have spent the money I did.

200 energy roots, multiple roasted lambs, hyena butters and trying to conserve energy, everything I COULD to try to get this event to pop up.
I’ve done all the areas I could do (only up to dry savanna) with no event.

I’ve given up buying roots and just hoping it pops up.

In the end I bought a Ferus for my main account so whatever I guess.

I feel bad too for everyone here, so if you all want you can stud to my Ferus for free in hopes you get one. Just leave a note to me in the note area if you stud to him or I’ll forget.
Maybe it’ll help take the disappointment of this whole event off :/

Edit: my main is #30085

I just read about laws regarding what constitutes as gambling in some countries. Maybe a few folks could help me with interpreting it.

https://www.lawofthelevel.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/187/2017/10/Loot-Boxes.pdf

This item is RNG based.

To increase odds, purchasing in game items requires real money (Energy boosts) and gives nothing in return (loot boxes actually give something in return and itemises what you could win, explore does not).

As well Lioden does not offer the % of odds of winning an encounter, just a vague statement by an employee, "Its not 1/50,000".

Yet exploring doesn't REQUIRE boosts, I haven't used one.
Also, which country?

At this moment I’ve used... probably 20 full energy bars naturally, daily Envlave energy (40 minimum), + 12 Energy Roots

Edit: make that 15.
