Exploring the City

You are scurrying around the rooftops, having climbed up a fire escape to get here, sometimes interesting things are left in strange places after all. There is an unpleasant smell from a vent with steam coming up out of it, and you avoid that.

This roof has a small shed and you see that the rickety door is loose enough to slip through, but there are also some discarded bags around behind it.

Do you:
- Slip into the shed to explore
- Investigate the bags
- Head to the far end of the roof

You head to the dumpsters through the back alleys and as you get there you see some movement, it seems that you weren't the only one planning to score a meal here tonight. But before you can tell what it is, one of the dumpster lids slips and slams shut, trapping the creature inside.

Do you:
- Take advantage and search another dumpster
- See if you can help out
- Give up on the dumpsters for tonight

You scamper across the roof to check look at the bags piled up together. There are three bags in all.

One of them is open at the top and looks like it might be able to be pulled over. Another one has clearly already been picked through and is shredded with holes. The third one is tied up and very full.

Do you:
- Pick through the ripped open bag
- Try to tip over the open bag
- Try to chew through the closed bag

Oh dear! You scurry over to see what you can do to help, and at first things look grim. However after you circle around the dumpster you see a rusted hole near the back! It's a little small, but you could probably squeeze through.

Do you:
- Try to coax them to the hole to try and get out
- Try to climb through the hole yourself to go in and help them

It's early morning in the forest after a rainy night and there is dew all over everything, getting in your fur and soaking your toes.

There is a bit of debris from the tree canopy here and there and you come across a nest that tumbled down from a large oak. You aren't quite sure, but it looks old, and you don't hear any noises coming from it.

Do you:
- Leave the nest be, just in case
- Approach the nest to see if there is anything interesting inside
- Find somewhere covered and wait to see if anything happens

There is no end to the interesting smells coming from the ripped open bag, and you eagerly start to root through it. All in all, it does seem like anything edible has been picked through already but you do manage to find something else that is interesting!

You find a Broken Chicken Bone which grants you a chance at a mutation when breeding.

You scoot closer to the rusty hole and can see a bit of a clearing, the dumpster must not be very full. You call out into the hole to let the creature inside know they might be able to escape.

For a few moments, you think they may not have heard you, or are choosing to hide, but then bam! A red face suddenly pokes out of the hole!

Thank you! I was worried for a minute, do you want to share some food? The rat seems to be quite friendly, and is happy to join you provided there is food involved.

It's a lovely bright day in the meadow with plenty of bugs buzzing around that are fun to chase. The grass is just above your head, so every now and then you stop to stand on your hind legs and peek around.

There is a clear patch you know of that has some gopher holes that can be interesting, provided the gophers are feeling friendly, but you've also seen the grass rustling a bit in another direction and a lovely sunning rock you found last time you were here.

Do you:
- See if you can have some fun in the gopher holes
- Investigate the rustling grass
- Head for the sunning rock for some relaxation

Cautiously, and with your little nose wiggling, you approach the nest. You get a little bit closer, then a little bit more, and then a little bit more. Nothing bad yet!

Reassured that nothing is going to jump out at you, you peek into the nest curiously and as you do you smell something wonderful. Inside the nest is a stash, and it seems like you've gotten to it before the owner came back.

You found a small piece of Cheese! which means that the next rat you find will be rarer than usual!
