You're such a bold rat, why would a mangy cat scare you? You scurry over to the compost bin and sniff around, trying to figure out how you can get it open, or even just get inside.

Aha, there's a latch! You climb up and start straining against the latch and it moves a little, but you hear something too.. uh oh, the cat noticed you and maybe you're a little nervous after all.

Do you:
- Give up on the latch and get out before the cat comes after you
- Throw all your weight against the latch to get into the compost
- Shout at the cat and puff up to scare it

It's a smelly place, such a lovely stinky smelly place! There are mounds and piles and small hills of debris and discarded waste to play around in.

You scrabble through the pile of garbage taking in all of the various smells and trying to decide just which one to follow. One way smells like food, but another smells oddly sweet and yet another you can't quite place, wet maybe? You're spoiled for choice!

Do you:
- Try and find some food
- Try and find the most interesting smell
- Try and find something pretty

You throw yourself against the latch as hard as you can and for a moment you aren't sure anything is going to happen and then suddenly it flips open and you tumble right in!

The lid slams shut above you and you hear the cat yowl, startled, as it runs off.

You sniff around gleefully and taste a few different things before you find a prize, Chicken Bone Marrow, which gives you a fair chance at a mutation when breeding.

You sniff here and you sniff there, letting your nose lead the way. First you climb up a old washer and dryer, and then back down a pile of cardboard boxes when something very interesting catches your attention.

Not really sure where it is, you slide down another pile and sniff around.

Do you:
- Try digging straight down into the pile
- Try looking in the questionable puddle to your right
- Try pulling something from the pile to your left and starting a landslide

You scurry over to the larger pile and sniff about for a few minutes to find the perfect piece of trash to tug on. Satisfied with your choice you bite down and yank!

There's a rumble, then some shaking, and then whoosh! You are knocked back in a rush of trash and tumbled about in the garbage flood. You hear some surprised squeaks and do indeed see a few other rats tumbled about as well.

As the trash comes to a stop, do you:

- Laugh at the fun and see if anyone answers you
- Jump up and see see who's there
- Shout and ask if they are all right

You hear a laugh from beside you and another rat pops up agreeing that that was freaking awesome! She'd like to come along with you and see what other fun you get up to.

You scamper through the streets of the city late one night once things are nice and quiet with the moon reflecting in the few puddles. It's a very quiet night and the new sounds there are echo through the streets and alleys.

You pass in front of a mostly empty parking lot with a car near the entrance and see some shadows moving near the back.

Do you:
- See if there's a way to get into the car
- Creep over to investigate the shadows
- See if there is anything else in the lot

You slink through the dump, passing by rows and rows of all sorts of different trash, it's hard to decide just where to go. Funny what people throw out, isn't it!

There's a pile of soggy cardboard, and is that a compost pile! Ooh what about that stack of tires, who knows what might be stuck in them.

Do you:
- Tear through the cardboard to see what there might be in there
- See what you can find in the compost
- Explore the mountain of tires

You happily scamper up to the tire pile and find a likely tire to hop into. That tire leads into another, and another, and another until you pop out on top of and look out surveying all!

Uh oh, seems like you might have knocked something off balance! The tires wobble a bit and you see a few things falling down and a few squeaky noises to one side.

Do you:
- Chase after the falling objects
- Rock the tires back and forth to see what else falls out
- Jump down to see where the squeaking is coming from

Exploring the dump:

You scamper into the dump late in the night after watching a junkyard dog go by, and waiting long enough to be sure it was gone!

The mound of garbage in front of you is wonderfully sparkly, it seems that you've found the section of the dump devoted to scrap metal. There are springs and cans and plates of metal, and all sorts of small bits and bobs strewn around among them.

Do you:
- Pick through the small pieces on the ground
- Play with the springs, they look like fun!
- See if there is anything left in any of the cans
