He had never seen the hunters this far, but he did have a feeling she was right- they were all over the place once they suspected there were creatures around. Dragons were a bit more complicated for them, but if they could catch them in a weaker form, well, that was it for them. "Oh, we get hunted. But we're just...sneakier than your kind are." he said with a small smile on his jaws, a bit amused. Noticing the fish chewing on the remains he debated picking one of them out of the water too to see what a predatory fish would taste like, but they scattered before he could reach a claw inside. Shame. "I've been around. Not too long, not too short...wait, watching you?!" He listened to her for a while longer, sometimes his gaze flitting over to the water to check for more fish, before she said those last words. Looking up at her, he looked her over one last time before speaking. "Here, watching you- not long at all. I had just shown up." he said, keeping his eyes focused this time. "Another scent? No- was it a dragon scent?" he asked. He wasn't sure if it could be him- maybe it was one of his family- but he needed to be sure. "As for my name, call me whatever you so like. I don't mind at all." He gave her a small smile which disappeared just as fast.

The Dragon glanced down towards the water below them as she stretched her wings once more. She glanced back towards the Dragon in front of her to huff lightly making a small purple-looking smoke drift from the edges of her mouth as she breathed gently. "Sneakier? Oh like those shadow dragons or those mist wyverns?" The female's voice peeked with some interest as she looked towards the sky, watching the moon calmly before he spoke once more, though she snickered when he exclaimed about 'watching her' it made her shake her head lightly as she chuckled. "Maybe it was, the scent of the water seemed to mask specific pheromones or whatever...." Lacie hummed lightly as she glanced back towards the water and then back to his face in time to see a small smile, making her offer her own light smile as the breeze blew through the trees gently around them. Her form was just a bit taller than the dragon, Lune as she now nicknamed him, " Alright then I'm calling you Lune, you can call me whatever I don't mind, even insulting names. Umm pretty used to those you know? "

Stretching his wings a bit, giving them a small flap to get the purple dragon-smoke away from him, he continued to speak. He didn't know what type they thought he was, but the name she wanted to give him- Lune- was a classic Night or Moon dragon name. She thinks I'm one of the dark-types. He felt as if it would be a large surprise if she found out he was actually ice aligned. "Sneaky like that, yes." he said. "Although less magically sneaky and more...cunningly sneaky." he said, a small smile on his jaws. "You wouldn't be able to see me come up to you." Or at least, he doubted this dragon could find him if he didn't want to be seen. The amused look on his face disappeared as he looked back down towards the water, pawing at it for a moment and lifting a small fish out of it. Doing his usual fish eating process he turned back to her. "Hm. Well- I suppose I'll keep an eye out for that. May not be good." His tail lashed behind him, and he shifted his claws a bit into a more comfortable position. Straightening up his neck a bit more to resume his gaze into her eyes- they were still about the same height- he continued to speak. "Almost everybody is used to insulting names. I prefer not to call you a name at all."

She raised her head while tilting it slightly to the right side, lightly shaking her head a bit as she played with a smooth stone on the ground, rolling it around playfully like a dragonet might. Technically she still was an adolescent for her specific species background, so she still acted like a child at times and instead lifted her head once more as the other dragon spoke. "Oh? Cunning sneaky, nice, I can just sort of blend into shadows or whatever....hence why it's hard to find my specific type a lot because of our scale color and the fact it can sort of morph into a shadow within itself...." Lacie silently blew out a plume of smoke that rose into the sky for a moment before vanishing. Her purple hues observed the other's actions carefully gauging and learning as he preformed certain actions, though she blinked as he plucked another fish-much smaller than the rest he had eaten- from the water. "That's fine, I usually don't get called any names other than annoying, so it's fine if you don't call me anything. Sooo I take it you like fish?" The female settled down on the stone, laying down this time as she whacked another stone with her tail from behind her, sending it flying with a 'Thwing' noise.

He didn't really play with rocks and stuff- usually he messed around with other stuff when he was bored, which was commonly not during a conversation. He wasn't going to comment on it, though. Even despite in human years he would be considered young, he was considered an adult in dragon years- dragon-folk matured fast and died young. Most of that was the fault of hunters and whatnot, of course- he had never known a dragon to live long in an area where they stalked about. It was terrible. "I would still be able to see you, shadow or not." he said, looking at her dark scales. "I can still see in the dark, after all- and now that I know to look for black scales, it's not as easy to hide." he said with a raised eyebrow. "Although I wouldn't be a threat to you." He stared deep into her, hoping to intimidate at least a little bit- not if you don't hurt me first. he meant to say. "I don't like fish more than the usual dragons." he said, blinking once. "It's just what's here- and I don't abhor it. So, that's what I'll take." he said, looking down at the discarded bones at his claws. Picking one up, he started to carve into it with a claw. One eye darting over to look at the stone flying into the river, he watched the scattering fish move by as the ripples spread over the water.

Of course she had a feeling the male might want to comment on how she was acting making her giggle, "I know i'm acting childish, but I have a reason for that....considering i'm still an adolescent in my species realm, my kind doesn't reach full maturity until 130 years old, and i've still got 10 years until then. Even if my kind could still be mothers at 80 years of age..." She huffed batting a butterfly for a moment as she cleared her throat focusing back on him as he said he would not be a threat to her which made her beam, "Really? I'm so used to nearly being murdered whenever i'm around different species of dragon that I hardly get to hold a conversation with them for more than a second." Some of her scales were covered in old claw-like scars as she tilted her head as he stared deeply into her form, not intimidating her and just making her a bit curious. The darker dragon only listened to him speak as he mentioned liking fish as much as the other types making the Night dragon shift lightly in her stance, "Oh? My species doesn't exactly like fish, we prefer boar or mountain goat, deer are also a delicacy from where I hail from...." Her purple eyes darted towards the water watching the fish dart away from the ripples, still alert as to the unknown dragon's moves and stance.

Oh, so she was one of those long-lived species. Many dragons were- he didn't know what he would do with a lifespan like that either way, and he rarely trusted beasts who acted like they knew too much. They appeared to go about the place as if they knew everything that could and would ever happen- silly dragons. Even the longest of lives had to bow to fate every once in a while. "Well," he began, "have you ever met a common dragon-folk? We're less than violent, although we can get snappish, especially from people who think they're all high, and mighty... He growled, shaking his head in disgust. Noticing the clawmarks on his scales he thought about his own markings- many of them were small frost wounds from when his scales were weak and he was learning to control his frost-breath, and many of them were made by his own avian form. Of course, some of them were the characteristic holes made by spears and slashes by swords, the kind of thing the hunters wielded against them. "Well, try it sometime. Deer are all over the place- I've seen at least four today." Of course, they always ran off once he approached, animals being smart enough to scent the beast-smell all over him no matter what.

The darker scaled dragon listened to his words quietly, offering a tilt of her head as he seemed to growl the words 'High' and 'Mighty', "I probably have, i'm not sure, I move wayyy too much around..." She shifted her stance a bit as he growled, slightly in surprise but also knowing the feeling he was presenting, much like how her vampiric side had done to the unknown male earlier, which she had scolded harshly but that never stopped it. Shaking her wings lightly she blew a small butterfly away with the wind from her form as she yawned for a moment silently, her eyes skimmed his scars for a moment as she drew in a breath gazing around quietly at her surroundings before focusing back on the other dragon. She traced, well carved more like it, a pattern in the smooth river stone underneath her form as she gently remained perched on the large boulder underneath her.

He didn't bother responding to the tilt of her head, just like he did most things she did. "Well, if you're not sure, I'll say you haven't see any- or at least, nobody memorable. He shook his head a bit as he spoke. Batting the butterfly, who had dared move closer to him, away with a sharp swing of a claw, he turned back to the other dragon. "Hm." he said, deciding to stay silent for the time being- maybe the less he spoke, the more the other dragon would. Asking questions would be rather rude, after all, but he was greatly struck with curiosity.

Her eyes followed the creature that fluttered around as he swiped at it with his claws making her chuckle as the butterfly dodged it, "If you want you can ask me questions, I'll answer them to my best ability...but if it's anything about my former village of my kind, i cannot answer those too well, seeing as I had been banned from my village for being too 'kind' and 'non-vicious'...." Lacie shifted in her stance for a moment as she spoke, averting her gaze to the ground but was still very much alert to her surroundings. Something felt odd though that she didn't mind being around the other dragon, he seemed friendly enough, then again her inner fear popped up and told her to be on guard for any sudden actions that could result in her being attacked. Those thoughts made her pupils shrink a bit, looking hostile, yet she was not, to prove it she lifted her head a bit but also remained in a position that would be hard to attack from.

Swiping at the butterfly again he caught it with a talon, taking a wing off it with the fast movement. He wasn't much of a fan of insects. Looking back down at the other dragon, he raised an eyebrow as they spoke. "Well, that sounds like a thing those savages would do." He didn't second that with no offense- he really didn't think highly of dark dragons. As far as he knew, dragon-folk really weren't a big fan of them. "Well, that's not that bad of a reason to be kicked." he spoke. "There's worse reasons for getting thrown out of someplace- although most of the examples I can think of would likely be acceptable there." he said with a small huff. He looked at her sharply once she started looking a bit more hostile, and rapidly spoke- "Of course, nothing against you. You seem better than a lot of your kin...and I don't know what you think of my kind. I suppose we should just be on good terms." He dipped his head, looking down at the discarded butterfly on the floor. He knew he needed to appear intimidating, keep up his guard, not yet losing his strong persona. He would only lose that once he knew he was safe.

The she-dragon blinked for a moment as he ripped the butterflies wing off, imagining how much that probably hurt. Lacie shook her head for a moment, breathing out sharply creating a plume of smoke that seeped from within her nostrils as the ever burning fire within her sparked a bit more, mainly just because it could. Her slitted pupils watched precariously as he spoke with a small huff before he looked at her sharply as she shifted her stance in a bit of a hostile manner, but it was mainly more fearful than anything. The dragoness's mind reeled back how many times other dragon folk decided to turn on her one too many times after appearing friendly, huffing lightly herself she lowered her wings around her a bit more in a sort of protective encasement as she murmured, "Sorry for seeming like I was hostile...but you never know...." The shorter dragon cleared her throat as she lightly scratched some pattern into the river stone with her sharp talon before lifting her head once more the gaze curiously at Lune as she dubbed him.

"You never know." he spoke, staying silent for a moment. Well, what now? He had nothing else to say- and after a while not even the fish could keep his attention. At least he didn't hear anything strange from the forest... "So." he said, trying to bring some conversation back, along with possibly finding out some information- "if the two of us are here, do you think any other...beasts could be here?" Cold breath came out of his jaws as he breathed in and out in a calm manner- although no matter how he was feeling, his Ice ancestry kept him still. It was a good thing to have. Ice dragons were always good at intimidation and keeping others away. Most Fire dragons could barely fight once freezing cold, and that was beneficial for him. "There's been some strange scents around here. Whatever they are, I believe a dragon could fight them- but still, I want to make sure it's not me." He did his absolute best not to seem curious about the matter or nervous lest the other dragon do something.

Lacie nodded in her dragon form, "It is likely that there may be more beast types around here." Though when he mentioned the strange scents she froze lightly, "O-Oh there has?" She had a feeling those might have been her own scent, but she could not be sure. Her claws raked against the stone underneath her as she drew in a breath, taking a moment to think, "I doubt it's you, then again I did see someone strange yesterday." Her piercing purple eyes focused on him for a minute as she stood up a bit straighter and stretched her wings a bit, stifling a yawn that may escape her lips. The dragoness looked over towards the forest where she caught some movement that appeared to be some sort of prey in the forested area. Her stance showed that she had spotted the prey off to the right and looked ready to pounce at the prey that had made the faintest noise off to her left.

He thought about this. "Well, if this forest attracts beasts...it would attract hunters too. If we find that to be true, I'll be leaving as soon as I can." he said with a small huff. He didn't pick up the movement of the prey the fellow dragon had seen- after all, he wasn't looking for anything like that, finding her the more present threat he should have his eyes on. If hunters came, he would be unprepared- but who would challenge two dragons? Unless this was some kind of plan... He shook his head to try to get this out of his mind. "You saw somebody strange?" His thoughts flashed back to the strange creature he had seen the last day- definitely one of the more hostile ones, he reckoned. "I may have also seen some sort of...creature, one of the more dangerous ones most likely. I didn't chase them down-" he explained- "but I do have my eyes open for that kind of thing." They seemed friendly enough to tell this sort of thing to- this long without an attack made him more confident- and besides, it could be something that affected the pair of them. Dangerous beasts brought bad reputation to more credible ones- not that dark dragons weren't in the dangerous category.
