Survey ResultsSome of you were interested in seeing the results of the July event survey we published in last week's Community Update, and we're happy to share the feedback we've received!
From the results shown above, we can see that launching without a storyline for July was unfortunate. We have always planned to have one, and it will be coming next year. We have decided to make a small link between the previous storyline and the new one after many of you have expressed that you're sad to see the old characters go. Whilst we won't be seeing the old characters again, there will be something that links them, so 'homage' will be paid. It was absolutely time for the previous July event to be retired. Rewriting the storyline wouldn't have erased how existing players felt about the characters from playing the storyline as it was, and it was just time for it to come to a close. This new event is still based on the existing celestial theme and does fit within the lore of the previous event. There is unfortunately not enough time for us to release the full storyline this year that will better explain things. We think the storyline and coming expansion next year will really tie it all together and make it make sense. We're very sorry it's not ready now. We really appreciate all of the useful feedback so many of you have given and will take this into account to make sure it delivers as well as possible next year! * Per the feedback and survey results, the base, mane colour, and marking applicators are now available to purchase for Axion Cores within the Draco Demiurge Exchange. * We have added in a 'Firefly to Silver Beetle' exchange tool within Tefnut's Memories. If you have Fireflies available on your account, you can exchange them for Silver Beetles at a rate of 1 Firefly to 5 Silver Beetles.

Oh man I forgot to put in my response to the July feedback poll last week, but it seems like what I would've voted was majority anyway, haha. Glad to see the applicators back in the store, and I'm already really excited for the event to be expanded upon next year. I adore the theme and the art a lot, and I do think the new Explore mechanic is fun and fits the event. Even with a rocky start I've been enjoying my July, and hope the community's input will make it even better next year. 0 players like this post! Like? |

Thanks for sharing the survey results! I'm also happy to hear that there'll be a storyline next year and that it'll tie into the old one. Additionally, the AC prices for the old apps seem high, but they've always been high. It's much better than when they were SB. Although I will say that daily AC acquisition still feels low. It's definitely much better than it was, but participating in the raffle is really draining (I only use AC I earned on my side for it so I can save on my main for decor and now apps). 0 players like this post! The way this event was approached this year was really professional, I just started playing again this year and didn't notice that the old one was to be retired, but it was really for the best. I'm really excited to see what comes for next year! Hooray for news!   0 players like this post! Like? |

Overall, I appreciate the transparency and the willingness of LD staff to listen and make accommodations, it hasn't gone unnoticed! The art is glorious, and I am entirely happy to wait and see what storyline will be drummed up for this event next year. I miss Tefnut and the characters of July, but I do agree it's probably best to move on. In regards to this year, though, I do hope for the sake of folks who hadn't had a stockpile of MS saved from previous years that the drop rate of these shards increases in both explore and Celestial explore (I was lucky enough to have a stash of them, but many are not so fortunate which makes even just participating nearly impossible for them). More than this, I hope there can be another look at the balance of the Celestial battles; even taking into account unique weaknesses/mechanics (which I DO enjoy as a part of the battles), you're more likely to lose than win unless RNG is really on your side. There are non-boss NPCs capable of three-shotting a player, and instances of NPCs stunlocking you for 3 rounds, usually leading to defeat without a chance. Additionally, the arrows indicating your strength in battle seem.. Irrelevant. I don't know if all of this is deliberate, but it's problematic and leaves many players, including myself, feeling like participation is exhausting and stressful, rather than intriguing and challenging as it should. Don't get me wrong, I love a challenge, and do actually enjoy it when I figure out each NPC's gimmick, but because of how overtuned these beasts can be, it's often a fruitless effort and you lose anyway. tl;dr: - Adjust MS drops in both explores and encounters so that people actually have a chance to participate, or lower the cost of MS steps - Adjust battle NPCs; you can do everything right in the battles, and come out a loser over and over again. I just think it needs another look so that every player at least has an average chance of earning enough AC for this year to be worthwhile edit: spelling 0 players like this post! @ (#213313) astral fire was only released in 2020 and was released once - given to users who completed the storyline (not buyable). all of the storyline bases are buyable the next year at the same price as the other bases. maybe you are talking about a different base app…? 0 players like this post! I do not understand why you would only address the storyline point. There were CLEARLY many people complaining about balance, mechanics and drop rate, yet you said nothing about this friday, and it very much felt like 'yeah, sorry, you people really would like storyline... we'll make it better next year, don't worry.' Please adress the rest of the complains, even if to say 'we have already changed a bit more from last time, we just didn't say anything'.
