Spice let out a gentle purr, putting her head against Auream's affectionately. She rasped her tongue over the kit's head, her voice soft. 'I'll teach you how to climb soon, okay? You'll all be the best hunters in the forest.'

Auream

“Okie dokie!” she grinned, her eyes landing on a butterfly. She raced away from her mother, chasing after it. The butterflies blue wings fluttered as she leaped behind it, squeaking as she went. The butterfly landed on a tree, spreading and closing its wings, almost teasing her. She huffed looking around. She stood up against the tree, testing her claws. She looked back at her mother before deciding to risk it. She put a paw on the rough bark that provided easy traction. The otter dug her curved claws into the bark and leaped up a bound. She hugged the tree tightly, straining her neck to reach the butterfly. It only fluttered up higher. She rumbled angrily, trying to climb more. Splinters showered the ground beneath her. She looked at her mother, then back at the butterfly. Determined, she continued to try climbing higher.

Sayha

She looked down her tree to see one of Spices kits climbing. Wait… Climbing!? Her eyes widened as she leaped from branch to branch getting closer to the ground and the kit. She cleared her throat, looking at Spice. “Need help?” She laughed, her tail flicking in amusement.

'..A bit, yes.' Spice said hesitantly, her eyes fixed on her kit up in the tree. Her fur was bristled with nervous panic as she clicked her paws against the ground, not sure what to do

Sayha

Sayha gently picked up the otter kit by the scruff on her way down. Auream squealed happily as she swayed the jaguars jaws. Sayha purred, setting down the otter at Spices paws. “Look at my paw, I told you it would get better.” She smiled, showing her scarred paw. “It’s just sore now, soon I’ll be catching us some deers and caiman!” She stood tall, flexing her new muscles. “Anyway, what was she doing up on the tree? I’ve seen you do some odd things but I’ve never seen you climb, much less Auream.” she patted the otter kits head with her large paw.

sayha is having a growth spurt, she’s almost fully grown! )

'Auream wants to learn how to climb trees. I suppose she just wanted to try..' Spice lowered her head, licking her kit's head. 'Im glad your paw's better Sayha. Do be more careful when hunting though..

Mpoi peeked jer head out of the den, staring at Auream. "What're you doing? You gonna fall!" She squealed.

“Climbing trees?” she lifted a cat brow, shrugging. “If she ever needs to learn from a professional, come to me.” she purred sarcastically. “Anyway, I will be more careful I promise.” she meowed softly, her ears flicking as she listened to the surroundings. She paused, lifting her head higher, her ears perked. She thought she heard a rustle in the trees… She opened her mouth to inhale the scent of another jaguar. She lowered her head, glancing at Spice then the trees. Another louder rustle came, and she pinned her ears, a deep resolute growl rumbling in her throat.

Spice lowered her ears back nervously, ushering her kits into the den. She opened her jaws in a threatening hiss towards the new scent, staying near the entrance of her den. She flexed her claws into the damp, muddy ground near the banks of the river.

Sayha

Sayha’s spotted tail lashed as she slowly approached the tree trunk. She dug her curved claws in, and roared a threat. Silence went through the forest for a second then the roar was returned. This time it was a much more deep, scary roar. She spotted movement in the leaves above and saw a huge male jaguar. Sayha bared her teeth at the unknown feline.

Auream

Auream sensed the tension in the air, and didnt make a peep when her mother ushered them inside the den. She snuggled into her mothers fur, trembling with fear.

The jaguar snarled, their muscles tense as they leapt from branch to branch, leaves brushing against their pelt. The stranger growled and approached Sayha, their eyes vivid and bright orange.

Spice kept her mouth agape, fangs glinting in the light, a quiet raspy growl emitting from her throat. She kept her eyes fixated on the jaguar, completely ready to sink her teeth into bone to defend herself and her kits.

Sayha hissed, her fangs bared in a threat. She backed up, lowering her head. Her fur ruffled up, making her look bigger. She lowered herself slightly to the ground, showing she didnt want to fight, yet she still hissed at the much larger imposing jaguar.

Spice didn't so the same, her jaws open in a threatening hiss. She kept in front of her den where her kits were, her claws sinking into the filthy soil. She'd fought younger jaguars becore- though this would be much harder, She'd definitely try scaring them off with a few bites.
