"I heard something from inside. I'm not entirely sure what's going on, but I think I should check just in case," Juno said his voice carrying hints of concern. He then walked to the door rising up on his hind legs as he scratched the door a little making sure his nails hit the glass window. He let out an another bark asking his owner to let him in.

Dahlia was a little concerned. Though she was mainly just nosy. She remained where she was, watching him closely.
It was a curiosity to her that he was so concerned about a human. Sure the human fed him and gave him a warm bed, but it was admirable seeing him care so much. Her ears perked as she heard another noise.

When his owner didn't answer, but there still was an another noise and groan coming from inside, Juno was starting to get really worried. He barked again louder than before trying his best to press the door's handle down, but it was apparently locked. The Borzoi pulled his ears back whining softly as he quickly descended the stairs trotting towards the backdoor. However, he couldn't get far as the chain forced him to stay still. He barked again looking at the house before trying to gnaw the metal chain to get free.

Dahlia watched Juno seemingly grow frantic trying to get inside. She flicked her ears back, not liking this situation very much. "You can’t just chew that off." She chuffed softly, limping over to the back door. She took in a deep breath. "Uhm.. the only way to get free is to chew off the harness. Can you reach it? I.. I don’t know if I can even go in there.” She motioned towards the door.

Juno heard something falling again inside and he had a very bad feeling about the situation. He twisted and turned and fought with his collar desperately until finally he managed to push the thing over his head. It was all thanks to him having such a long and narrow head, that was the reason his owner usually chose to put on a harness for him, but occasionally forgot and chose the collar instead. As soon as he was free, Juno bolted to the back door barking. The back door wasn't open either, but he then noticed a tall window that was open. Using his powerful legs and slim body Juno slipped into the house.

Once inside he quickly followed his owner's scent into his bedroom on the second floor where he found the man lying on the floor. It seemed like he had tried to reach for things many times, he could tell that by judging the mess around him. Juno barked again nudging his face with his nose licking it as he was trying to make him to wake up.

Dahlia quickly moved out of the way of the borzoi, watching him leap through the window. She stood on her hind legs, her front paws on the side of the home. "Juno! What should I do? Do.. do I come in?” She called out, barking loudly.

Juno tried to nudge him awake, but when it didn't work, he quickly came running back down leaping out of the window again. "He has collapsed, I can smell that everything isn't like it should be. His breathing sounds different," the Borzoi explained. "How on the earth does one get those loud cars with lights to arrive?" he asked completely clueless how to cll an ambulance for his owner. His owner had never gotten like that before and he didn't know what to do.

Dahlia pinned her ears back, thinking of what she could do. "I’ve got it. You stay with him, I’ll be back." She didn’t wait for a response, sliding underneath the fence and running off. She had to put her weight on her injured paw, using it to propel herself forward. She found a group of humans just a moment later.

She slid to a stop and barked at them, whining and holding her paw in the air. This got a bit of sympathy from them. They moved closer. She took the opportunity to snag a female’s purse. She stepped back when a man tried to grab it. This continued for a moment, then she took off running. The humans followed suit. She stopped just outside of Juno’s home, climbing onto the porch before making her way to Juno, dropping the bag and panting. One man managed to climb over the French, slowly approaching the dogs as to not startle them.

Juno watched as the humans came into his territory and he silenced all voices that told him to protect his home. Instead he pulled his ears back and whined to them trying to nudge the man towards his house. He made sure not to pant so he wouldn't startle the humans, but clearly showed them that he really wanted them to go to the house.

The man frowned thoughtfully, chatting with the woman beside him. He managed to get the back door open before walking inside. He called out, looking around before glancing down at the Borzoi. Dahlia huffed and moved back, going and hiding underneath the stairs. She lapped at her paw. It was worse now. She let out a pained whine, sighing.

Juno tugged the man's pants gently guiding him to upstairs. He would guide him to the bedroom where his owner was lying on the floor unconscious. He had suffered a mild heart attack and the situation could definitely turn much worse quickly, if he wouldn't get medical help soon.

The man’s eyes widened and he quickly called for an ambulance. He pet the dog before crouching down beside Juno’s owner and gently shaking him. He called out, a woman coming up the stairs. The man began CPR and the woman stayed on the phone. Soon the ambulance arrived and a stretcher was used to roll the man out and carry him down to the ambulance.

Juno allowed them to treat his owner, both the humans and the paramedics. He followed them to downstairs and outside watching them to take his owner away. Juno whined after them softly as they drove off before he looked for Dahlia. Spotting her under the stairs, he laid down close to her. "Thank you for helping to find the humans," Juno said softly.

The other humans left afterwards, speaking to each other. Dahlia looked over to Juno, scooting closer once he laid down. She stopped once they were close enough for their fur to brush against the other’s. "You’re welcome. I’ve seen the big loud cars before. I know where they come from.” She proudly wagged her tail. "What are you gonna do?" She tilted her head, taking a moment to lick at her paw again. "I don’t know when your owner is gonna come back."

"I'm going to stay here, guard the house and wait for him," Juno said noticing her getting closer to him. He also noticed her licking her paw and gently scooped closer to her until she was pressed against his warm side. He wrapped his longer body around her to keep her comfortable and warm. "Your paw must be hurting again," Juno said softly before he lowered his elegant head to gently lick it desperate to ease her pain.
