Community UpdateAside from monthly event news posts and the 2nd Friday of each month being focused on art/coding updates, all other Fridays are centered around the community!

Bug Fix* Fixed a longstanding issue where food items in clans would sometimes end up with extremely long expiration dates (730,000+ days). Any affected food should have their correct rotting times now. If you do come across any food that is set to expire far in the future, please let us know in the Bug Board!

AJGecko - because he's been taking so long to do it, she just gave up on him and thought "Too tired of waiting, better this way to just end it rather than keep waiting for him.". A lioness is never forced to mate with any male - these are still lions, and she could have ripped his head off if she felt forced. Even just slightly annoyed lionesses sometimes leave males with missing ears and ripped noses. Lionesses are quite ferocious when they are in heat. 2 players like this post! Like? |

If that's the true intention, then I apologize. However, I think it should definitely be made clearer. It truly looked to me like the lioness felt obligated to have sex. And honestly? I would be upset if some random stranger interrupted me and my lover, even if we were having trouble. Also, yes, it would be disturbing if a rando picked up my lover so he could do the deed- that's why I edited that part and deleted it entirely. But I think this was a misunderstanding on my part, and thanks for respectfully clearing it up. However, I worry that others might have this misunderstanding too and never speak up about it and get it cleared up. This is why I think the encounter should be tweaked to be a little more obvious in the lioness's consent. I will edit my original comment to amend it 5 players like this post! I always imagined these guys were not exactly a long-together pride, but more of a pair on their first date. Usually well-established prides breed deep within their territories, protected and safe from random weirdos, so its pretty clear the couples in February event are mostly all just out for quick dates, but arent exactly a tightly bond mates to stick together and defend each other against a stranger lion approaching. I agree thought, a simple added to a text would clear that up: You hear an impatient lioness voice nearby, "What's taking so long? I'm ace and prefer not to see it, I'm not entirely sex repulsed but it does make me uncomfortable to a degree. I use a browser add on to block it though (and the faceless elephant month as well). My other issue aside from personal is other people walking by my desk and seeing it. I work in gaming, it's expected for my position to have downtime and it's not unusual for me to be on here between things, and it's one thing for someone to stop by my desk when I'm messing around in wardrobe but when there's mating lions? I think reworking the art will be a huge workload on the artists, and personally I'm ok waiting for a toggle or maybe -some- art in the future for some of the more suggestive ones. I know it's a lot of work and I don't think it should be completely taken out especially for people that it doesn't bother but hopefully there's some future solution for people that don't want to see it :) 8 players like this post! I imagine some other artists could get in such situation haha but I mainly added it to be little light hearted in "oops public can see me"also-- neat to see dwarf and lioness ancounter will be adjusted <3 1 player likes this post! Thank you Xylax and devs for looking into this. Though I do think all the drawings of animals having sex is weird, I could get over most of the encounters. It's natural after all. There was just a few that were concerning, like the dwarf and the lioness. I agree with you AJGecko, if there was consent it needs to be clearer. I always thought that particular encounter was distressing and I didn't like coming across it. The fact that the lioness was "relieved" at the interruption your character provides has a flavor of something....less than consensual. I understand that wasn't what the devs intended at all and that not everyone saw the encounter that way, but a few of us did apparently, so thanks again for looking into it! 1 player likes this post!
