A very high pitch giggle sounds through the fog. "You are clever~! I like that!" The creature chirps and coos happily, crouching in the clouds near you, and yet, that tail wiggles above the cloudcover, snowy and stripey. "Tell you what! If you can guess the color of my fur, I'll show myself to you" Clearly, the creature doesn't know you can see its tail, this one doesn't seem very smart.. ![]() |

TheCrazyGiraffeLady (#47268) You walk out onto the meadow with excitement, hoping to find a special creature to bring home with you. In the distance you can spot a pond that seems to glow in the evening warmth. However, your eyes catch a glint in the grass beside you, and it shivers with movement before something skitters away into the flowers. Where will you go? ![]() |

Although the lure of movement is strong, I turned away from the grass and meandered over towards the pond; the glow of the water against the evening warmth too strong a temptation to dismiss. "Besides", I muttered aloud to no one in particular, "the skittering of the flowers could just be the shadow which has followed me since I left home!" The final comment an obvious dig to whichever one had followed to ensure my safety, despite the numerous assurances i had made before leaving. ![]() |

The glow of the water becomes more and more alluring the closer you get. Although after your comment, you feel like something is watching you. Tiny fish swim beneath the glittering surface of the crystal pool, their black eyes like beads in their skulls and their scales shimmer in more colors than you could imagine. ![]() |

After watching the fish for a few moments more, I kneel upon the grassy edge, the moisture of the mud soaking through my trousers, but it bothered me not. With slow motions, in a hope to not scare the colourful fish within, I made as though to dip my hand into the water, but hesitated at the last second, mere millimeters from the surface; though gorgeous to look at, and the alluring growing only stronger, I knew not if these fish were friendly and that danger had broken the fog that clouded my senses. What harm could these fish cause, if they were not as friendly as they at first appeared? But still I left my hand frozen, possibly too close to the surface that if one fancied a nibble I was done for, but it would then be their choice to attach, and not mine to invade. ![]() |

The fish seem disinterested in your fingers, choosing instead to gingerly nibble on the petals of flowers growing along strange plants within the depths. However, with your gaze close to the surface, you do notice something different, a small cave is nestled in the wall of the pond, covered in dense plant growth. ![]() Edited on 21/05/25 @ 03:33:36 by Vixen (#195527) |

(Please tell me if I write too much for the RP, it's fun but I can overboard!) With my fingers for noe, I lower my hand into the cool waters, swirling the liquid, making ripples and bubbles appear at random yet controlled intervals. I kept my eyes on the small cave though, hoping to see movement - both from the curiosity that stems deep within and also in case the dweller within isn't quite as friendly as the fish. At times, as if to entice the cave owner, I would waft the water in a more ordered form, pushing the liquid in a way that stirred the dense vegetation with clung to the entrance; in my head, I imagined it in a way that it would resemble knocking, like one would on any other door they might see. ![]() |
